    Perfect hot rod!
  3. Very nice little vette!
  4. Nice tip on that paint; that's a lot of 1/4oz bottles for 8 bucks! Should go ahead and get a quart of white and a quart of black, and you can mix tints and shades to your heart's content.
  5. The photos look to me like there is clear covering the decals; there is no clean, sharp demarcation at the decal edge as you would have with the decal on top.
  6. Yep, the Revell "club" had a cool little magazine, and you gained status by the number and variety of kits you built. I think you had to send in photos of your finished kits, and were then awarded a certificate that was a step toward "Master Modeler" status. I also recall a continuing fiction story that involved some modelers and situations that required specific Revell models to overcome some adversity; the models were built and rendered real by some grand device that allowed the good guys to triumph every time.
  7. Wow. That Charger looks even worse than I expected. I expected very little.
  8. Yep, my younger cousin next door was signed up, and I got to help him build. This had nothing to do with Revell or Monogram, and in fact what I remember most is that I had never even heard of most of the kit brands at that time, the one standout exception being Aurora. One of his kits was the Aurora viking ship. This probably where I learned of Pyro, Lindberg, Palmer, and other dirty words. Several comic books of that time ran the printed ad to get you signed up. You just didn't know what you would be getting! Ooooh, but you got a sweet set of Pactra'namel paints. I was jealous.
  9. There is some really nice box art on these old kits, at least some. What a let-down when you open the box. I love that they use a micrometer for the letter "P" in Palmer. The only one who was vaguely familiar with a mic there had to be the guy that drew the logo. OP, can you show the contents of that "Charger" kit? I'm crazy curious now...
  10. Very cool, and there's something here that is really visually interesting, especially the underside. Nice work!
  11. Home run on that color choice!
  12. Shouldn't have mentioned the scale, most would never have believed it to be anything other than 1/25! Just a beautiful model, and doesn't that color just finish it off perfectly?!
  13. Still lovin' it!
  14. Robbing the seats and whatnot from an AMT 55 Chevy might be a good place to begin an interior, or any of the available 1/25 55-6-7 Chevy kits since they are Pontiac's cousins.
  15. Man that thing looks like it's in motion just sitting still! Love that color.
  16. Great collection of deliveries! VERY nice work and care for details; really outstanding.
  17. Very cool! 1/1000 scale kits are coming from PL, but I'm scared of the pricing!
  18. Outstanding work! That is a beautiful model, and the real bike has some really nice lines that you have captured perfectly. My favorite part, though, is that red paint! What a gorgeous shade of red; may I ask what paint you used for that?
  19. One of my favorite westerns of all time! Anyone else remember the short-lived spinoff TV series? I remember watching it with my grandparents, who were huge fans. (Sorry for the thread-jack, Snake)
