  1. Unsure how to order! What is wisdonm? Was that supposed to be a link?
  2. Very handsome automobile, and a beautiful model!
  3. Love the 63 Impala, and yours is nice! Red is so right on this body. One detail nit to pick that just glares at me: those things on the front fenders are merely chrome decor, not lights. You appear to have them colored yellow to mimic lights. Otherwise, dig it!!!!
  4. It's an odd mix of chassis/interior/body. The body is completely stock and quite nice for the subject; it's the rarely seen hatchback Nova. The chassis is fairly generic, as is the interior tub; what you would find in many of AMT's/ Model King's gasser kits, and I believe you could source a much more realistic chassis from MANY sources, but that's my opinion. This body style has real potential, so I'll be watching to see what you do with it! Good luck!!
  5. I think you're doing a great job of personalizing this body. There's been so many Mercs that have a sameness because builders are afraid to vary from a perceived "formula" for a chopped Merc. This is going to be so cool....
  6. I think the AMT 55 Nomad or 55 sedan have the wheels you need, I'll check my stash later tonight and check back tomorrow.
  7. One of the cleanest interiors EVAAAAH!
  8. Oh yeah, and don't forget the newer tooled 66 Riviera for a SWEET engine, and the older 65 and 69 tools have some nice-for-the-time Buick goodies!
  9. Looking forward to your progress on this cool Buick! If you aren't sold on that chassis, why not substitute an AMT 58 Impala, 62 Impala, or Revell 63-64 chassis. I do believe the Wildcats shared wheelbase/chassis with their full-size Chevy cousins. On another note, I'd kill for a resin copy of your front bumper/grill and back bumper/chrome pieces to cut and paste on a 65 Skylark scratchbuild I'm gathering pieces and references for right now. VERY similar shapes, just a bit wider, but a great starting point. GOOD LUCK!!
  10. Have at it! You'll be very happy with this one right out of the box.
  11. Nice job! I bought several of the 60 Starliner kits way back to do just what you're doing here; update those nice old AMT bodies!
  12. Yeah - pretty much just scaled-up tooling from 1/25 scale kits, and the details suffer. The mustang is probably the "best" out of the box. That being said, a lot of us like to scratch-build and improve upon our 1/25 kits, so why not one of these?! It should be easier to do larger than smaller parts, and as has been noted, these do capture the overall shapes fairly nicely. Have fun with it, and test your skills a bit too, I say!
  13. Keep 'em coming! I'm working on a similar (underneath) project; the Daddy Warbucks Falcon. ( A veeeeeery long-term project!) Really liking your engine.

    59 impala

Love me a 59, and this is sharp! Cragars just rock on older cars.
  15. Yeah, take your time and get it right after this much work!
  16. Been watching this thread since day 1, and this is beautiful attention to detail! Just a thought on your hinges; if you thin the trailing edges of the plastic, it will do alot to lighten them visually. Just file a light taper from front to back, removing nothing at the front, and maybe 2/3 of the thickness at the rear edge. Big change in appearance, and shouldn't affect their strength.
  17. PM me, I have a 58 seat for you.
  18. Very nice interior treatment and color combo! 57 Dash looks right at home!
  19. Also, I'd like to see this body offered as a body-only, to keep cost down, and because I'd like to build a "what-if " production variant! Well done KB!
  20. ????????? Is this a typo - 28 Chevy ???????????
  21. Smooth work! I think I'd lose those fender trim pieces on top; they fight the clean lines you have everywhere else. As far as color, paint it to suit yourself. This is YOUR car!
  22. I love everything about this build! Especially nice color choices, very kool!
  23. And how! I hope I don't come off as overly critical; I just enjoy seeing a model like this develop to its maximum potential. You've accomplished alot in a short time, and sometimes that leads to "go-fever", and a false sense of need to get it done quickly for no real reason, often at the expense of accuracy. This is especially important if you intend to cast copies. You will almost surely wish you had addressed inaccuracies everytime you pick up a copy, and realize you could have taken care of it in the prototyping. You definitely have the feel and flavor of the real car, just not quite there YET! Good luck!!
  24. Any progress on this?!
