  1. Gorgeous! Fantastic job!
  2. Neat! I've got the Wrebbit card stock version of this
  3. Here they are! All 3 are transformable, but I'm missing the parts for the VF-2SS. I may take her apart before long to repaint. I built it years ago.
  4. Do want! I had this kit way back in the day and had fond memories. Would love to build another.
  5. Saw a right-hand drive Nissan Figaro on Kenny Rd today.
  6. I had a similar issue with my Revell Porsche slantnose. It was red plastic, and I was originally going to paint it pearl white, but the plastic bled through. Came out a pretty pearl pink when I was done.
  7. Used it on a couple of kits so far. Used the matte blue for my Tyrrell P34 (yeah I know, it's metallic) and I'm using the neon green for a 2008 Dodge Charger Super Bee. Makes a decent replacement for Sublime Green. Dries really quick, and no real awful smell more than any other paint.
  8. Mischief Managed! Found out that the USB port under the dash will pick up a thumb drive and the stereo will read MP3, so I loaded a 15GB one with a bunch of ripped music Now I've got Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Grim Reaper, Avantasia, Kamelot....
  9. Had a 2011 GMC Acadia that died about 3 weeks ago (last few weeks have been an "adventure"). Alternator went out and after it was replaced it just never started again. Was able to get a 2020 Chevy Equinox with 132000 miles for $8400. It's in great shape and drives well. I miss the CD player, but I'll manage.
  10. Looks great! Got this kit in the stash. May have to build it soon.
  11. Right now I don't even have a 1:1 running car. Acadia ate the alternator, now it wont start after replacing. The loaner ran for about a week, and it wont start now either.
  12. Yay. More AI slop. Seeing it everywhere anymore.
  13. I remember a White Dwarf magazine where they were doing patterns like this on a Falcon Grav Tank. If I remember correctly they shot it with a base coat, used a mesh (from a bag of oranges in this case) and stuck it to the surface using 3M spray adhesive. Once the mesh was in place, they sprayed the second color and removed the mesh. Maybe use a finer mesh, and spray the lighter color first, then spray the darker color over it?
  14. I've done this on my Star Trek ships. I typically apply the insignias and hull markings over matte paint or even Dullcote. I dip a brush in decal set and then white Elmer's glue and paint it directly on the surface while the decal soaks. Slide the decal onto the puddle of glue/set and move it into position, then work it down with a Q-Tip and blot dry. As it dries, the decal set will help pull it into the crevices and settle over curves and the glue will help keep it from silvering. If there's any excess on the surface of the decal, a little Novus 1 on a Q-Tip will remove it. I hope this helps.
  15. Try Spaz Stix chrome. I've used it on my Chrysler 300H and it worked well.
  16. Same, the color just rubs off when you burnish it down. Also feels a lot stiffer than the other, so it's harder to work down.
  17. Looks fantastic!
  18. Oh forgot! I cut the interior tub apart and detailed it, made the window cranks and door handles.
  19. Just finished this one. The paint is Duplicolor, no clear just polished color, interior is Citadel Wraithbone and a mixed color for the darker tan. Whitewalls are hand-painted.
  20. I take her in a heartbeat. I know a few people I could feed her.
  21. Looks great!
  22. I've got a full detail Jo-Han 1963 Chrysler Turbine, unbuilt. I'm gonna dig that kit out next. Have a partially built Airfix 007 Aston Martin DB5. Got Dr. Krook's Medicine Show. The kit was partially built and mostly complete, but I had to make a few parts like the rear panel. Also have Der Guber Wagen, but it's really incomplete/damaged. I'll have to make a lot of parts and pull from other kits to complete her.
  23. I use a primer by a company called "Now", it's their universal primer (their white paint is good too). I've never had an issue with it being too hot for the plastic and lacquers work great over it. Other up side is it's about $5-7 a can at the auto parts store. I almost never use clear coat. It's another layer that I'll probably screw up. So the paint is just polished out color coat.
