  1. GAHH! Sorry to see that! Hopefully you can put a lock, or at least a door, on your work room.
  2. I'd like to have the little Toyota pickup. AMT/Round 2, If you're reading this, bring it back out!
  3. I've cast them out of clear acrylic before and they turned out well. Clear epoxy will work too, although it tends to be yellow-ish.
  4. I usually only build one at a time. I might gather parts for others in the mean time, but I only actively work on one on the bench.
  5. 94%. Got the Mopars confused.
  6. I wouldn't mind getting the armored cocoon. It looks like it'd be easy to mod into the animated version.
  7. I'd kinda like to get one of the "Tiger Shark/Dream Rod" kits. The asymmetry baffles me on the design, though.
  8. Does Round2 still make the 1/16 1957 Corvette? I built one when I was younger, and I remember that being a pretty decent kit. As far as the eyesight thing goes, I've noticed that I can't quite focus sometimes on small details. Especially painting gauges and dashboards. I picked up a pair of reading glasses from the pharmacy and it helps immensely.
  9. Very nice job! Looks great!
  10. Makes you wonder why they didn't do the whole nose section as a lift gate, instead of leaving the lower part in the way.
  11. I just pulled out my AMT 58 Chevy to build after the Mustang disaster. Gotta say, I had forgotten how nice of a kit this is. The molded detail is good, The engine and engine compartment look very good, especially compared with other AMT kits. And the tires look great, they're actually the Firestone Supremes on this version, so they have nice molded detail too.
  12. Does having to get rid of something count? Was working on a 1979 Mustang Indy Pace Car, and the body started disintegrating on me. The top just snapped in 2-3 places. I ended up tossing it and shelving the rest.
  13. Very nice!
  14. My uncle Bobby had a private stash of cars that he just left to rot. Typically he'd buy a car cheap, then once it developed a few problems he'd park it and get another one. Let me see if I can remember some of them: 1968 Road Runner (sat so long in the weeds it split in half when they pulled it out) 1970 Chrysler 300 1969 Nova (straight 6, got it from my Dad's side of the family) 1970 Plymouth Superbird (Looked just exactly like the one above) 1976 Buick Riviera 455 1974 Plymouth Satellite Sebring (one of the last ones before he passed, could've been saved) 1963 Plymouth Valliant (my Grandfather's old car, along with the 1978 Volare/Aspen thing) Several 70's Chrysler New Yorker/Newport cars 1973 Cadillac hearse And a flotilla of Volvo's of various model and a few motorcycles. I wish I could've gotten to some of them after he passed, but I had nowhere to store anything, and the person he sold all the land to just scrapped/crushed/burned everything that was left.
  15. Those are really nice kits. The only kit I've seen that was more complex was the Mobius Hudson. I look forward to seeing the build.
  16. Definitely has that 50's custom vibe. The wheels look really good on it.
  17. That looks AWESOME! Excellent job.
  18. Could be. It's still marketed as an Italeri kit even now. There's one under construction on this thread:
  19. I've got the Testor's issue Porsche 911 Turbo and Lamborghini Diablo. They're both nice kits. They're not completely full detail, but do have opening hoods (it's more of an engine plate than an engine).
  20. Actually, the only short shot kit I've got in my stash is the Jo-Han Chrysler Turbine. The exhaust ducts aren't completely formed on one side. I can probably scratch build the missing part, but you still hate to see it on a classic kit like that.
  21. Got in a Revell Subaru WRX STi. I've been trying to get one for a while. It's complete, just need to strip the paint. $10, free shipping.
  22. OOPS! Sorry, missed that part.
  23. What about liquid masking agent? It goes on like paint, but it peels off easily.
  24. Weirdly, I kinda like it. At least it's not a sedan or a crossover of some kind, like every OTHER car manufacturer is making now.
  25. Yep! Have to have one of those.
