  1. Faced with what to do with some '66 Pontiac G.T.O. Parts such as the 389 engine, red line tires, and G.T.O rims. I decided to do something different to a '57 Chevy 150. I painted the rims to match the cars body, and used the 150's dog dish hub caps. While under the hood went the 389, which fit the chassis very well.
  2. The body was painted two weeks ago, The decal's were added mid week last week, And the glass, interior ect were done Sunday. Pictures were taken Sunday, And The stripes have been added to the rear of the car on Monday. The '57 is almost finished though.
  3. After finding a picture online of an actual '57 Chevy 150 Ohio State Highway Patrol car. I decided I wanted to build a copy of it.
  4. Started with a Revell '66 GTO, And converting it into the '66 Tempest that my grandmother had. That is before she gave it to my oldest sister, and before my dad re painted it blue ( my sister didn't like the original paint color). Mock up as the wheel's/axles engine ect are just sitting in place and not glued.
  5. I even used those pens on a die cast '58 impala
  6. I also had the low stick BMF, Bought it online even was sent a replacement that was the same way. Ever since Hobby lobby started carrying Molotow Chrome I have been using them on my builds. All The Chrome trim was done with 2 mm Molotow Chrome.
  7. Working on a Lindberg 1/64 B-17 G. Shoo Shoo Shoo baby in bare aluminum from WWii, Shoo Shoo Schoo baby would later be painted green when it was restored at the Dayton Ohio air muesum. Shoo shoo shoo baby no belong's to the smithonian as Mephis belle took it's place in Dayton. I need to find someone to make a decal of the pin up girl for the nose art of Shoo Shoo Shoo BABY.
  8. They also had one that came with an Orange smell too.
  9. I thought someone said that the Transtar II's molds were badly damaged Thus why it hasn't been reissued. I also wonder if the S-series molds were scraped at some point due to it not being a great seller.
  10. Eventhough it's a four door, That kit reminds me of these Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon .
  11. deleted

  15. Thanks, And a special Thanks for supplying me with the 6 Cly! And I agree that the 6 Cly should have been an Optional engine in this kit!
  16. 99.9% done (needs a decal for driver side door) This is a service rep's car which is a low level 150 sedan w/ Inline 6 engine.
  17. Just finished this '69 Pontiac Firebird, I added some details such as, a better altenator, rear view mirror, heater hoses, Steering gearbox , seat belts, and body supports under the hood.
  18. Yes, Those are the tires and rims that the kit comes with. I just black washed the spoked area ,And used decals from a revell 57 Convertible on the hub ends
  19. I bought the Lindberg '61 Impala convertible 5 days ago from Ollies , And I just Finished it this morning. The seat belts are 1/8" white ribbon from walmart (.97) , and was painted to match the seats.
  20. Just completed another '57 Chevrolet sedan, This Bel=air was done in a two-tone paint work Inside and out. Thank's To Snake45 for the idea on the color combo, as he suggested the color idea!
  21. Promotional models Were made of acetate plastic in the 1950- mid to 1960's Thus they warped ( JoHan smile) The bumpers and glass were styrene plastic which the Promo's all became in the mid 1960's. They were made by almost all kit companies such as AMT, Johan just to name two. Amt returned to doing promo cars for Chevrolet in the 1980's and still makes promo's of Camaro's and Corvette's. Most of AMT/SMP's promo became Craftsman or styleline kit's. Promo models are Curbside kit's that have the hoods molded shut, The exception to that is the AMT/Ertl Chevy pickup's which were based on the full detail kit. The hood can be taken of them and the tahoe for that matter as well.
  22. Yep they still make a few promo's Here is a 2017 Camaro promo which is on Ebay
  23. The new flyer is now on Ollies web site!
  24. According to their web site The current add ends Tomorrow So this will be for Friday or Saturday. Lima Ohio's ollies was just starting to stock the shelves with kit's. I seen Revell kit's : Danica Patrick #10, Pre- deced '10 Camaro's, Mustang, Corvette and Dodge Challengers in purple and red, The Burgetti, Mercades, 29 and 32 Ford 37 ford hot rod, 61 Impala convertible low rider, along with the '72 Dodge. Not sure what other kit's they will have as they had boxes on a cart in the isle that had not been opened yet!
  25. I just got a copy of the Tom Daniels Garbage truck, Which I really don't think that it's actually a 1/24 scale product. If I were to guess as to scale I'd say it is closer to 1/35-132 scale, as the figures that it comes with fit in size to a 1/35-1/32 Military tank model! Also a garbage truck would be rather bigger then a 1/25 '57 Chevrolet wouldn't it?
