Good news is I will have some time to build models
ranma replied to russosborne's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
My mother had a Quad bypass done 5 years ago, she recovered very quickly after having it done. She was a smoker for year's,as long as I could ever remember. That was untill her heart attack a few day's later the quad was done, and after about a month she was back to doing more than she had been able to do for a long time. My Dad had his a year later Found out through a stress test and a day later had the bypass done, Unrelated to it was his rare blood cancer ( likely due to chemical exsposure as a Truck painter For IH). -
Why not do 4 door's from regular kit's that are out. such as the 66-70 Impala's ,70 Pontiac Bonneville ( 4 door & wagons) even 61-66 ford galaxy 4-door & wagons This way you supply the body and it's based on actual kit's that would have all the parts to complete a car. How about 4 dr 57-59 Ford, 57-64 Mopars, 58-70 chevy's

May the good lord take care of you in your time of need.

Floyd was a older farmer who farmed the land around the property that my family lived when I was growing up. He traded in his well cared for '66 c-10 in the fall of '74 for a new 1975 Chevy C-10. This model represents the '66 C-10 just month before it got traded. Note how he had the spare mounted in the bed and not under the truck. He did the same thing with his next C-10.

Try Ebay as they have the Monogram 1/24 blazer. At this time there is an unbuilt one going for $30 + shipping with about a day to go on it.

Revell's site shows the K-100 as a NOVEMBER RELEASE.

I just bought me one at Phil's Hobbies of Fort Wayne Indiana. Total Cost :$20.05 ( Manager gave me the 25% off that they had on sale signs that were left up. The sale was a one day thing Nov.6 Th!!!!! Very kind of him to do that as he didn't know the signs were still up. But The Bronco will be getting something very different done to it as such in the attached photo.

One has to wonder if this could be converted into a first generation IH scout, As Ford pretty much used the scout design!

Not quite finished yet, But it is based on one that the farmer that Farmed the land around our house back in the 1970's He bought a new chevy pickup in 74. I added the side trim to the body. The spare tire is where he had his mounted on his 66 C-10.

Did anyone notice that the '66 Chevy C-10 pickup comes with a set of '64 Chevy C-10 side badges? This got me to thinking maybe I should buy a second one, and a '65 Chevy C-10 step side . Thus turning the step side into a '66 step side, and the '65 into a fleet side. I already changed a '65 step side into a '64 by using the side badges from the '66 I'm building. I already have a '64 Fleet side, so now I have both a fleet side and a step side '64 C-10. One thing I wish Revell would have done was include the side chrome strips for the '66.

3 Year's building 1 model car? Danny "the Count" takes about a year to do a 1:1 Which has more parts to deal with.

Inspired by Nascars recent throwback race. The blue is not correct, and the white stripes were hand painted, Knowing how Petty like the mopars I used a AMT '09 Dodge Challenger and the wheels tires and axle's from a snap Jimmy Johnson Impala also made by amt.

I bought two MPC snap General Lee Chargers at Phils hobby shop in Fort Wayne Indiana for $10.99 each ( he bought 400 of them and got a good deal so he's passing the savings on to his customers.
