  1. Thanks guys. What looks like dust in the pics is actually the glitter in the top coat. Dan
  2. Thanks Brian. I posted the finished pics in the Under Glass section. Dan
  3. I just got this done a few minutes ago and I hope ya like it. It is an issue of the Mako shark that is the Street Shark. I did not like the hood scoop that was on it, so I removed it and filled in the hole. This was a glue bomb and I had to make a few resin copies of some of the parts to get-er-done. Here are the finished pics of it. I really enjoyed rebuilding this car. The tail lights are Aluminum tube with red sprue in them for the lights. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  4. Thanks Snake. I got er done just a few minutes ago. I'll post the finished pics in the proper place. Dan
  5. It's been awhile since I posted anything on this build. Here are some pics of where she is at the moment. I had to make the rear bumper and I made the tail lights out of Aluminum tube and used pieces of red sprue for the lights inside them. The tires are directional and in the right places. She still needs a little more work before finishing. I also had to repair the hinge for the roof. I hope ya like 'er. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  6. Thank you Mark for adding the link. Very good work and I would like to try this myself. If you don't mind, I'll add this page to my favorite list so I won't loose it. Dan
  7. Mark, I couldn't find the wip thread. I'd like to see how you did this. Dan
  8. Real nice work Mark. Where did you get the sedan body? I would like to build Royal Pontiac's Catalina that was a sedan also. I built bill Knafel's Anderson Pontiac "Tin Indian" which is the hard top Catalina. Dan
  9. Thanks for the kind words guys. I have a convertible that I'm working on now with the custom horizontal lights. I haven't decided on the color for this one yet. Dan
  10. Thanks for the kind comments guys. I enjoyed building this car. I had to learn stuff the hard way though. After I painted it, I had to adjust the inside of the body so everything would fit. It turned out Ok and I'll do more test fitting if there is another next time for one of these. LOL. Dan
  11. Thanks Sam, that's what I was going for, a 50's or 60's look. Dan
  12. I just finished this today. It is a Jimmy Flintstone resin body and I used parts from the 49 and 50 Ford kits to finish it. The paint is Gold pearl powder in clear on top and Copper pearl powder in clear on the sides. on top of that I sprayed a multi colored glitter on and that doesn't show up in the pictures. I also used Gold bare metal foil for the side trim and I used Tamiya clear yellow on the chrome parts for the Gold look on them. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  13. Thanks Ron and yours look great. I really like the dark Blue one. I've got mine stripped already and working on the interior. The chassis isn't the greatest but it's all I got to work with. I was hoping that I didn't get burnt on this and I'm glad I didn't. It is going to take a lot of work to get-er-done, but I do like a challenge. And this one is a real challenge. LOL. Dan
  14. This came in the mail today. It was a challenge to get-er-apart, but I prevailed. LOL. She went fer a swim in the Purple pond and is swimming as I type. There is a lot of work to do on this so, I'm gettin busy as soon as I can. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  15. Thanks guys for the kind words. I Got-er-done just a few minutes ago. Not to bad fer a glue bomb I guess. LOL.
  16. Thanks a lot guys. I'm enjoying this rebuild. Here are a few more pics of what's been done so far today. I'm using the custom headlights from the AMT 25 T. I have to make an adjustment for the steering column and also have to spray Alclad on it and a few other parts that should be chrome. I'm gettin closer to getting 'er done. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  17. WOW, thanks guys for the kind words. I'm enjoying redoing this kit. I had the fenders from some parts that I got at a show and the 26 was a glue bomb that I wanted to rebuild. Also, a friend of mine needed a set of fenders from this kit and I gave them to him so he could build his. So far everything is working out just fine. I had to do a little work on the front fenders to get the suspension to work. Had to remove part of the inner fenders to free up the A arms. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  18. Got a little more work done tonight. Still a lot more work to be done. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  19. I have been working on this 26 T glue bomb for awhile now and there is still a lot work to be done. Yesterday I assembled the chassis and this morning I sprayed gloss black on it. Just a few minutes ago I sprayed the Alclad chrome on it. I'm happy with how it looks. The body and most of this car is from the Revell 26 T sedan delivery kit. The fenders are from the AMT Ala Kart kit. I removed the rear door detail to make this just a 2 dr sedan. The color is Candy Ruby Red over Silver on the body and Candy Ruby Red over Copper on the fenders. Also, there is multi color glitter over everything. There still is a lot of work to be done before it's finished. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  20. The Buckeye Scale Auto Club is having another show and swap meet on the 18th of March in Hilliard Ohio at the fair grounds. There is more info at our web site. Everyone is invited to come and have a great time. Hope ta see ya there. Dan
  21. Will do John.
  22. Thanks Jesse, I'll check them out. Dan P.S. I went to the Whoopie Kat site and I was able to order the decals for the 68 GTO that I will build of that car.
  23. I understand Bill. I built both of the 66 cars. The twins. I remember seeing the champion car (66 GTO) in the showroom at Knafel Pontiac in Akron back in the day. I used to deliver parts to the store. I'll never forget that. Dan
  24. Thanks guys. I liked it the first time that I painted it, but I messed it up and I wanted to try and paint it the same way as before. I'm not going to use the Testors clear on this this time. If I use anything, it will be Future floor polish and nothing else. Not sure yet. I'll wait until it dries before I make any more decisions. LOL. Dan
  25. Ace, you may be right about the decals. I do know that they are the same for the 68 GTO and I hope that they are the same for the 70. I'm looking for the 68 GTO by MPC to do that car also. Bill, I'll let ya know if I can find them. Dan
