Two more iconic cars we need kitted
Edsel-Dan replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There are actually MORE than just the 3 kits of the BTTF Delorean. Polar Lights RECENTLY went that route with their kit, But Aoshima/Fujimi did that YEARS ago! They even offered the set of 3 trough both Ertl's Blueprinter newsletter and a card in the Then VHS copies of the movies!! Aoshima re-issued them again a few years ago in I believe 4 versions Original Wheels, Flying mode, '55 Wide Whites, and Rail wheels Actually the Original wheels had a lever to flip the wheels to Flight mode in the AMT Boxed run!! and I do not think Polar Lights offers all of those options I do recall Their Flight Mode was a Solid Option and not a Flip of a lever!! Road Wheels OR flight mode I only have an Original P-L kit. Also on the Aoshima kits, All the Body add-ons (Cables, etc) are separate parts added by the builder so You DO have a chance to try to build a Stock Delorean out of their kit, while Polar Lights casts many of those parts to the body P-L also Plated their kit's body -
I have that Wagon Infact 2 one was being bashed with an EDSEL front clip to make an 59 Villager That is the Toy and will Not warp!! But then, silver plastic bumpers, etc No hubcaps, interior, or windows I also have the Deluxe Promo with all this one does not have Tires are the same, just with the opening for the hubcaps instead of the "full" moon cap molded with the tire

I know one of those MPC 1/10 engine kits was re-issued by Parma some years ago to be a display piece with their 1/10 R/C cars Not sure where it is now Or what happened to Parma

Have you tried a Heating pad? or Cold pack?? I have used both on Headaches Asked why they lasted for days, and moved from one side to the other then back Got told Migrain and 6-12 hours I laughed and said try DAYS!! Last doctor got it Right CLUSTER had me on a GOOD prescription, but Company's merged and my brand's dose was dropped for some time Next does was $70 PLUS for 15 when I paid 20 for 60!! I dropped it and went back to Heating pad on my head around my eyes It worked good enough and being in Dark was an additional aid Luckily, after that, and Him moving to Mayo Clinic to teacher I have not had headaches since!!! was a time though........... Now I always have a Cold pack over my eyes Wrapped in Cloth diapers and tied with a Robe sash I know pain down there too But more in the Groin area Had me worried an OLD Hernia was back More likely a Bowel block LOTS of liquids and a few sit downs on th Toilet and........... was to the point I could not even move my leg Pain is NOT fun, and Not being able to sleep is At Least as bad!! I hope all goes well too

Mom bought one a few years ago, but no matter how many times she tried she could not get it activated She trashed it!! I saved it, but........... Can it be activated now or is it too old? Wish I could have kept her Assurance Phone But, they did not send a renewal (that I ever saw) and when I asked, they could Not transfer it. I get offers for the Other Free system, but Since my sister gets Social Security, she is More eligible than I am

Edsel-Dan replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Sadly I found one of those. got it apart to fix. it is Complete and is the "Bearcats" issue, not the Connisuer Classics It has the TV show Machine Guns!!! But Not the vacu-fomed base of the other issue -
Thanks I do hope to keep a few Items. No one has asked about LP's Dolls, books etc If I can copy the LP's I do not mind letting them go Same with some books, Though don't know how many READ anymore I Love to Trek was my Favorite, til I could no longer find the books I can not find out if The Engineers series continued after book 75 or not And how far past 80-90 are the TOS series, Not sure how many Next Gen books I have , and only a Few DS9 & Voyager!! I Was given a 500+ collection as txt filesm, so DO have them that way As long as I have a PC to open them on! I am Not sure if any one still goes for Avon decanters I have MANY of those, some in Multiples. Most are empties bought later. Those I got new still have their boxes and are mostly full!! DVD's I will likely keep, But I CAN copy them for myself and sell the hardcopy (Have to get a DVD drive though--Saw one at Wal-Mart for $40.oo Some Goodnews,is I MIGHT be able to put in a couple job aplications Preacher told me Advanced Auto is alway looking for drivers, and Auto Zone is Building a Store here now Never expected New businesses to build here!!! Only problem with looking for a Job, is I Don't have a Phone!! I prefer Landline as All I want is a Phone!! Not some Do it all Pocket Toy!!!

Monogram '57 Del Rio Ranch Wagon has fenderwell cut-outs
Edsel-Dan replied to Matt T.'s topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Yes, AMT's 57 Fairlane 500 kit Custom Edsel Wagon tail lights a bit Large They are closer to 1/20 scale I cut about 1/8 inch out of the center of them on both sets I have made I have a resin wagon that was sold as a Bermuda, but used the ford Tailgate trim, so Was doing her as a Villager I also bashed a Revell Chopped roof Ranchero with one of AMT's Modern Tool Edsel Pacer's I knoe the dorr length is correct as the Pacer was tooled as a 2dr Sad that I will not get to finish those 2 builds -
Lindberg and Revell Snap Tite Police Cars - Same Model?!?!
Edsel-Dan replied to Drake69's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Which Lindberg kit did you have with a Red Light bar?? I know with the run that had several State Agencies, After the First issue Ohio with the Then incorrect V bar 4 Red domes and 3 clear while box art look s like it shows 2 each red & Blue (And I was told that those Crown-Vids had Whelan Edge bars NOT the Vision/Vetor V bar , and the Orange County Fire unit, All have the Lightbar dome AND Tail lights in clear that are Painted/tinted 91% Isopropol Alcohol will strip them FAST!! Did the Orange County kit have a clear red Light bar? Thatt is one I never had Another big difference in the Lindberg & Revell kits, is the lightbar Sadly we lost that Great V bar after the Ohio issue, but the MX700 is nivce too The Revell kit has the Generic Edge Tyoe bar first produced in their second Impala Police kit, The Curbside snap kit The Full Detail (Glue) Snap kit 91 Impala had a Streethawk light bar That same Generic lightbar is in the Ford Expedition Police kit in all pictures I have seen (Even on the Revell Box) their tires look Wider than Lindberg's -

The most recent Indy winner to die was Dan Weldon And Yes that same year, And in a Race The Last race of the season. Dan was entered and a Sweepstakes/contest was the reason If Dan won a Fan selected would win too Do not remember if it was $500,000,oo or a Million. But then that BIG crash!! How many involved?? 10? 15?? I know several Dan's car was hit, sent airborn and Cockpit side into the fence. When they got back in the cars for a Formation lap to conclude the race, I think they already knew...... Dario was Crying, as were others And Last year, Justin Wilson was caught up in a crash at Pocono If you did not see it, you wondered why he stopped A piece of the car that hit the wall sailed up, and was at the Wrong place in the air as Justin came past The piece hit his helmet, and flew away Justin;s car came to a stop The car behind him had a lot of damage, but his appeared to have none. Yet ALL workers went to Justin. Again, I think most knew, but confirmation would take almost a day Rossi was In the Correct place to Win. He also had lead earlier during the race Had Kanaan, Rahall, Castroneves won this way, No one would have said anything about the win, EVEN if it was the ONLY lap lead by that driver!!!!

Edsel-Dan replied to Faust's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews

Especially when the Pinto was a 2dr, and the K car was a 4dr!! HOW did MoPar do that????? YES they were parked Side by side!!! I even want to say both were the same color and maybe even had wood-grain side inserts too (Was a LONG time ago and memory not what it was!!) -

question about a 67 tibird
Edsel-Dan replied to jeffb's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
OK, By "Kit" I was NOT talking RESIN!!!! AMT, MPC, IMC, Lindberg, Pyro, Premire, Life-Like No Mass Producing Kit company offered either Kit or Promo in 1/25-1/24 scale (Nor 1/32) A FEW Diecast in 1/43-1/50 or even 1/64 scale were ALL The RESIN came out MANY years AFTER the car Passed into the history books!! It is too bad that Modelhaus no longer offers the model it would be Nice Hopefully Modelhaus is bought by some one with the skill & energy to keep the quality and the 67-71 era T-Bird 4dr is again made availabe -
question about a 67 tibird
Edsel-Dan replied to jeffb's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I know of NO Promo or Kit of the 4dr 'Bird, BUT......... DO KNOW one WAS Built Sorry, NO Pics. I did Not have a Digital Camera at the time Somewhere out there is a Brown & Yellow 4dr 70 HOPEFULLY Still close by so I can get it back!!! (I BUILT IT!! Rear door line was TOO steeply angled!!) 2 inch masking tape was used for the Vinyl Roof texture Model was built to replicate the real one owned by a Car Club member (Buddy Schuman) back then Rear of roof was Not raised to match car. just scribed new door lines and added extra door handles -

I also have a few in the "Winter-Chill" version The 6 kits were the 34 Ford (Former ZZ Top Coupe) 55 Chevy, 68 GTO, 69 Camaro, Z-28 (as shown above), 70 Mustang Mach-1, and 78 Corvette. I have SEVERAL of All 6!!!! Here are the 6 of the series; Many were also done in Spy Gadget, and Cyborg/Cyber version Color of car was bigest difference between series/version The 70 Mustang is Blue in the Halloween series, and White in the Winter Chill -
Monogram 1/32nd scale kits from the past
Edsel-Dan replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Since they did not offer the International I guess they took the T600 (Closest overal shape??) and made it "Look" the part That does Not surprise me!! Not sure if they offered other Indy/Cart cars, but likely the only difference would have been Decals Also, unlike now, there were differences between Chevy teams (Or Ford--others) but in kit form only decals were different!!!
