The Current "Foose" kits were Originally offered as Stock replicas then re-issued as Foose kits with new added parts Thus, Yes, they can Still be built Stock The 1 NEW TOOL kits being discussed here will NOT be buildable as Stock replicas as the bodies will be altered. More so in the Cadillac than the F-100.

Sorry to Burst your bubble here Charlie Though the Rear Suspension has a "separate" rear axle, it is HOLLOW. Actually ONLY Half there NO upper half. Also the Exhaust And lower trailing ares are part of the piece. Front is Cast to the chassis I have 2 of the re-issues, a Pro-Modeler & later, and original 72, 73 & 74 Annuals I built back then They ALL share chassis/Engine The 71 & 72 has a Separate Straight axle up front for the "Spoof" build option

Slight Problem with that The 58 Ranchero used 57 Tail lights while ALL 58 Wagons had 58 Tail lights!!!! Reasoning was to save damage to tail lights when tailgate was lowered Interesting they did not retain the tail lights on Wagons too How would they not be damaged when lowering the tailgate??

Always though Monogram's "Phantom" Clear Fuselage P-51 Mustang was 1/24 They Do have a Huey Copter that is!! -

American 1:25 scale four door sedan and wagon promos and kits
Edsel-Dan replied to Junkman's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The 60 Fairlane was HUBLEY's 1/24 offering Never Jo-Han's. How about the Town Limo from their 31 Cadillac It WAS 4dr I built one many years ago, and have another to build again Did Not think 1/32 were included as topic title is 1/25.. AMT/Revell did 2 others (4 considering they were 55 & 56 ANNUALS then) in the 1/32 series The Mercury Montclair Pheaton, and Buick Roadmaster I have 1 of each 56 Buick needs parts though (window frames) -
I Don't remember the AMT Taurus being labeled as a Snap kit at Any Time! Though they Did offer a promo, they never offered a Snap kit of it that I remember The 94 SS also was Not labeled a SnapTite either I have it and the Police kit that IS labeled SnapTite!! As is the Fire Chief/Taxi issue The SS was sold as a Glue kit I don't see any engineering alterations Not directly relating to the change from 91-92 Caprice to the Impala

OK, Looks like I might have found the Old Boat kit I have Side trim and bow look the same!! Mine was bought in Late 60's-Early 70's The Coronado Had White Vinyl/Rubber tube for exhaust, and string to coil on deck for rope Options on Cabin, None, short, Long, sliding, not sure on all. Was LONG time ago and though I still have her, I DON'T have box or instruction sheet!! Engine looks small in my built (if I remember correctly) but the Couple from Revell's 59 Skyliner fit the seats Might be better with 1/32 figures though as leg room is TIGHT for them!!

American 1:25 scale four door sedan and wagon promos and kits

I have recently seen Pictures of 61 & 62 Rambler Wagons In Fact I asked the owner Why the Kit Okey sold was a 59 when the Promo was updated through the end of That body!! Any one here know how we got the Custom Curbside Cruiser as a 59 instead of a 62, 63 ????? what ever the last year was for that body style?? I know the 65 & 66 Wagon were done too as I almost had a 66 at one time, and have seen the 65 Plus I had a 65 Sedan for a short time before trading it As to the Toy version of PMC's 59 Ford Country Sedan I have 2 a Pink/Coral one and a TURQUOISE one So they were available in other colors besides Just the Pink!! I also have a Turq. Ranchero!! True the PMC toys did Not have Interior, Windows Or Hubcaps Most also had Silver Plastic bumpers/grills But they do NOT warp!! The Good point here is the Fairly Readily availabe Revell Parts fit with Little or No adjustment needed I know, I did it with BOTH Wagon & Ranchero!! -
I knew they would be HIGH First-Gear always are!!!!!!! Will they offer a Generic, or Primer at a cheaper price??? ($35.oo or LESS PLEASE!!) what about Passenger versions?? It would be fun to do an Ambulance, Police Paddy Wagon or Fire Department Rescue van. But................................................. Currently NOT in my Budget!!!!!! (Oh yea.... I did Not see a price listed on the page when I clicked the link)
-
I was surprised to see the Blazing Bison Pull Tractor listed But, Yes, the prices listed are a Bit HIGH! Will Only buy these at Hobby Lobby & Michael's with 40 & 50% coupons!!!!! going by them saying 77 Pacer Wagon, I am betting it Will be the Stock Annual kit just like I built Way back when!!!!! Also curious about the Impala Convert. Lindberg's 61, or AMT's 62?? I have at least 2 of each so.......... Will depend on options included

If that piece I see in the interior sprue is the radio, Isn't that too small to be a Correct Tube type radio for the Police package?? weren't they still Very Large then?? I do like this and Hope to get a couple!!

Thunderbird also used the Suicide Hinged rear doors on the 4dr sedans they did from 67 through at least 70 So they carried over at least one year After Lincoln stopped. Or did Lincoln still offer them in 70? I KNOW the 70 T-Bird did, I built a replica of one for a Car Club member a few years ago LONG Before Model King had the 71 re-issued!!!

I have put Cedar chips (Small Pet bedding) in kit boxes that I store knowing they may sit for months/years before being handled again I prefer the stronger smelling cedar for this as it does weaken over time I will try some of the other ideas, but, having both parents be smokers, I don't notice the oder!! However, there is a STRONG Chemical smell in the Moebius Ventura I have never noticed on any other kit!!!! Not even their original Hudson Hornet!!!!

I built this kit in the Countdown series. This was the First time I remember it on the shelf I did NOT see the Flower Power kits at all Though Did get 4 of the Desert Race/Rally series 3 different kits. 2 of the 59 Buick Invicta hardtop 'Boondock Bomber', the 61 Ranchero 'El Ranchero Grande' & the 62 Galaxie hardtop 'Turista Turismo' The Buick & Ranchero were Curbside, the Galaxie had an engine, but Few custom parts. The Buick was Stock Only, the Ranchero had Custom Parts, but Not the Styline pieces. I have an Unbuilt of this Mustang from the Resto-Rods series too. Yes, though too young to remember the original, I did build one around high-school graduation time (1979) And Yes, If I can afford one, would likely get this issue I am Hoping that the 2 Curbside kits Model-King helped get re-issued with Ertl, the 64 Comet & 59 Imperial, get re-issued soon Even though I have an unbuilt (Comet) or started (Imperial) of each I would buy a few more of them both!!!!!! I am Old enough to know most of the OLD AMT, MPC & even Jo-Han kits I built MANY of them! Some I still have, some I wish I did!!!

1962 Dodge Dart 440 Hardtop Jo Han C-4162 "USA Oldies" series
Edsel-Dan replied to Junkman's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I tried replying to this a few days ago and got major errors. I have the 5 62 MoPar kits from the USA Oldies series Though the Convertible of the Dodge is in an Original box, it IS a Re-issue as it is the SAME Orange as the hardtop, And has the heavy Plastic axles ONLY in later issues!!! (I had a Marliin kit with Wire rod axles,!) Both my Dodges have the 63 dash. Also in checking, Both my 62 & a re-issue 63 Fury Hardtop have the Same interior. The Plymouth Convert has a Split Bench with armrest and different upholstery pattern #5 is the Chrysler 300 Need to check that one again -
