  1. I started on the Convertible (Biarritz) shortly after its release Stalled for some time now They did Compromise on the grill/bumper/headlight bezels Done that way the bezels extend too far back in the fender. Also, Due to the shield that is part of the Chrome trim on the door I will use BMF (or other THIS model chrome trim foil instead of the Thick Mylar from the kit That mylar will not conform to the shield in any way where BMF and other Model foils will!! I have wanted the Seville version for a LONG time, but.......
  2. Interesting that the clear in this one are CLEAR and Not tinted!! I have one of those originals in the black body/red chassis, interior, etc The clear parts were green tint. Sadly it is a wreck. Dad mounted the headlight lenses BACKWARDS!! (face glued to bezel!!) and flipped & reversed the lower rear suspension arms!!!! I used the Bubble top, and other Wild Custom parts on a Special Interest Stock Only re-issue And NO the parts do NOT match!! (black hood scoop extension, roll pans, etc on red body) I need to Paint it!!!!
  3. Not interested in Chopped video (high-lights) I want the Entire Event from Pre-race to Post Race Un-Edited!! Commercials and All!! I use do that!!!! There are 2 to 3 copies of Nurburgring 24 on Youtube that are not only Complete, but Beyond Complete 1 is 64++ HOURS another 72++ HOURS!!!
  4. I think we were tying at the same time
  5. There should be a Boot cover He bought it from me since I had both the Good Arii kit & the POOR Heller one I sold him the one out of the Heller kit as it looked identical to the Arii piece Some pieces in the Heller/Lee kit were OK, but that chassis.....................
  6. Herta, Rossi's Co-owner won with Dan Weldan the same year Dan died at Vegas on Fuel TOO Rossi Definitely Deserved that win!!! He used Brain as well as Good driving to be where he was at the end!!!!! Anyone record the race?? I can't get ABC right now That channel broadcast's at a LOWER output than my CSE/Fox channel does Towers are Equal distance from me and only a Few degrees difference in the Same general direction Depending on size, I can send a blank DVD (or 2-3) or a Thumb-drive 128 GB are $33.oo now at my Wally's These are 3.o Sandisk 2.0's were $25.oo for 128 GB
  7. Interesting But with all that detail, I bet it is MORE than the F-250/350 kit!!! I would LOVE to be able to get one, but........................
  8. I also have the Convertible In fact, I have it and the Heller re-boxed LEE copy STAY away from the Heller/Lee kit Though the rear trailing arms are separate, the rear axle is molded in the chassis, and set up for a Toy battery operated motor!!!. Details are also a little soft on the other parts. Richard, I do Like that build Hope mine comes out Half that nice. But, neither of my 2 kits have that Trim surround on the from fenders The slots are there, but no trim
  9. I too would love to see the 67-72 Chevy/GMC pickups back Considering to prices for the 4 box art versions of the recent re-issue Even the 'Rides' version go HIGH!! $50.oo+++++ But, I believe we Lost the 72 GMC Shortbed Stepside we the Longbox Fleetside was brought back. Wasn't it posted here that the AMT Shortbox Stepside was Re-tooled into the Chevy when they found the Fleetside box inserts but Not the Chevy Cab tooling?? Also, with the Heavy Pedal, and Rolling Thunder Custom issues, the Stock grill was altered MAYBE we can get the GMC Jimmy version of the Blazer re-issued, but I don't expect the Pickup again Are the Hood & tail gate inserts still around?? Hopefully they can Fix the 72 Chevy Grill as the one they tooled up is not tall enough Also the 71 & 72 had separate Grill & front Bumper!!! It is posible to separate them on 69 & 70 issues, but, Not the recent 72 Luckily, I have a few of this era Chevy.GMC Pickup. 4 of the GMC Shortbox Stepside 4-5 of the 72 Longbox Stepside, AND 2 of the Heavy Pedal!! besides 10+ of the Fleetsides
  10. Very Nice Would Love to try this myself but do not have an extra 64 Caddy body!
  11. I though Jimmy Flintstone's piece was from a 59 Caddy this one is either a 60 or 61. I wanted one back when first offered And his "Allen" Champion Driver Figure it was Suppose to be Alan Kulwicki!!!!! Would still love that Allen figure!!
  12. Those Chrome parts were first in the 4 "Customizing" series kits 49 Mercury 50 Ford Convert 66 Wildcat & Thunderbird they were also in later 'Prestiege' kits!! Bumper Jack & base, engine display base, plus tools might be from 49 Merc too Not 100% sure on TV, Tape deck & Phone Maybe 65 Lincoln??
  13. Depends on the can/bottle AMT's 60-65 Annual Ford & Chevy Pickups had the ones under the Monogram Beer Wagon barrels in the tray The 64 Galaxie was ONE kit that had the Long spout cans in the bin next to the Pick up versions I am betting some of the other Modified Dirt Race Annuals had them too The red nascar can in that bin looks like either an Ertl piece out of the Diecast Impala Kit (Petty Or Waltrip) or from the Monogram Deluxe (Plus) kits with tool chests, driver, etc As for Animals, the 59 Buick was one to have the rabbit Anyone not wanting the Mini-Boxes, can send them to me!! I will gladly pay postage for them too.
  14. Hopefully they will eventually re-issue all of those 1/32 Semi kits We Did get the Mack R with Tank trailer last year(2 yrs ago) and just recently the Freightliner Conventional & Box/Refer van Now this year we are getting the KW Aerodyne Conventional So Hopefully.......
  15. Same here A LOT and I have shown them too 63 Galaxies Sport Roof & convertible from a Sports roof starts when they were First re-issued in the Prestiege series!! The 65 Pontiac GTO Tempest LeMans Safari, and on and on and on..............
  16. She is A Beaut!! Too bad the old 'copcars' link is dead!!! And YES it would be great to be able to build a replica!!!!!
  17. already?? This one was Just re-issued last year, or the year before!!! They Must have gotten to news this kit is in BIG demand!!!!! I still want a couple to go with the Original I still have not finished I need to re4place Almost ALL ot the tires on that one!! DRY-ROT!!!!
  18. I found a little info on the AMT ALF Aero Chief Snorkle kit The Clear Red & Amber parts have been brought back! No more chrome lenses I want a few of them now!! and hope the Pumper & Ladder Chief kits get the Retro-Deluxe treatment too
  19. Yes Rodger Penske Same as wning 2 $ 22 now He only ran select events befor getting Rusty Wallace as Driver in 70-72 seasons he entered Mark in mostly the Riverside races Do you remember when they had THREE races there at Riverside??!!!!!! That Matador is a 72 isn't it?? I though the Javelin was run in 71, or the First few events Mark drove
  20. AMT offered the JoHan George Folmer Javelin/AMX kit too back in the EARLY 70's I have 3 of them They were sold through Coca-Cola ads, and in stores They were Mark Donahue's Penski car!!! They could be either Trans Am or Nascar as Mark did drive in a FEW 71 & 72 Nascar events For Pernski The Jav/AMX was used until the redesigned Matador came out in 73. After Mark's Death, Bobby Allison joined Penski's Nascar team
  21. I would love to see that one back too BC issue is Going HIGH in $$$
  22. I did the Paint method of Vinyl roof on a 70 Eldorado. seams were done with ,01x.02 evergreen strip just get them Straight. as long as they are close to where they are on the actual car That was Easy on the Edlo, as it only has 1 down the center Use a Color of Flat paint Close to what the final roof color will be My Eldo has a White roof, so used flat white paint. And Here CHEAP Store brand enamel is best!! No need to pay high dollar for a Name brand!!! The Texture paint may also work, but Try to find one close to roof color and see if you can get a Clearanced one!! My Wally's has 3 different colors now clearanced! Might grab one of each
  23. I have an original Box art MPC 56-57 Vette. Bought in Late 60's-early 70's. It has the metal coils, not plastic
  24. Good Luck on that!!! ALL I can say is check with Local Antique Car Clubs, then that evil auctionbay site
  25. Interesting idea, but Bonneville Slat Flats would be about the Only place it could run with the width of the front axle track, and how close the fenders & skirts are, you can Only turn it by Tow truck!!!! or replace all that fiberglass/carbon fiber at EVERY pitstop!!!!!!!! For aerodynamic reasons the front tires should Not stuck out past the fenders!!! But, it will also force WIDE turns due to limiting how tight a radius they fronts can steer!did not do so well here. They still do it all over Europe, Asia & even Assie!! I even have a couple PC game demos of Semi truck racing Too bad semi cab racing
