  1. I like those 2 trucks I have a Decotora Truck myself Need to get a PC back itno service so I can take & upload Pics again!!!!!
  2. I wonder how many different Mustang's were used in the filming of Bullitt Same with the Charger. How many were used? I liked that Blue Bloods episode, but had thought for a LONG time that the Mustang was Gone. It did end up with a broken left from suspension at the end of the Chase after all!!
  3. Use to watch "Last Exile" on Anime Unleashed. What ever happened to that series?? I have the others I watched on it as mp4 vid's but have never seen Last Exile I would love that Vanship too How many did they do What about the Carriers?? or other ships of the fleets???
  4. Yes, I did Mix up length & wheelbase But, I still need GOOD High-res pic's Do I keep the rocker design from MPC's 67 GTO on a 67 Tempest/LeMans wagon?? Same on 66 Tail lights will be based on Chevell pieces, but back up lights are in Bumper and NOT tail light housing like the Chevelle!!!
  5. I will have to check my book again. And I Should have realized the mistake EDSEL used the smaller Ford platform and wasn't the 59 upped to 120 inch?? NO way a MID-Size would be 200++
  6. Try down here in my area!!!!!!!!! At least the greater Baltimore/DC area is Closer to you than to me!!!!!!!!!!!! I am pretty sure the 64 is almost identical to the 65 in the tailgate area so, will just duplicate what I did there for that one Though, HOPE the Polar-Lights 64 kit will work for me Wish they would offer the convertible again, and in all white like the Johnny Lightning version hardtop I have or at least in unpainted like the current hardtop re-issue The evilbay auction of the 64 tail light shows me that it carried over to the 65 Or at least VERY close!!!! I just need a couple Revell/Monogram 59 Impala tail light lenses to make the from That is what I used for the 65 tail lights And I will use the 64 Trim piece from between the tail lights one the GTO for the tail gate insert That will give me the PONTIAC letters Or can I use one from a 65 again?? Close enough????? It will be a LOT of Fun trying to do the 68/69 and 70-72 versions Those bodies are So different!!! Plus, not sure how much it will take to adapt the 1/25 wagon roof to the 1/24 GTO bodies for 68 & 69!! May pass on those
  7. I am also wondering how many different F&F movie versions of this kit will be done This car(s) changed in almost every movie it was in. And the trailers for the original only show it with the lights Open, so.......
  8. I have Several of the Old Revell kits withthe 2pc tires They were NEVER Vinyl OR Rubber Those tires are more in line with "Delrin" Or what Model Railroader now calls "Slippery Engineering Plastic" to avoid trademark. And true, NO glue would work on them like for Styrene parts Elmer's or similar "White" glue Or other Crafting glue (Ailene's) will hold them But, Gluing the inner & outer rime was what was meant to hold the together in the first place so...................... My guess is some here did not get a good joint in the rims. Unless I took them apart NONE of mine have separated I built the Yellow Molded Bre-510 Back when first issued. Still together to this day Might even have a tri-5 Chevy with them on it and still holding together!!!!!
  9. I have a built of that AMT 1/43 kit I built Way back then and 2 Unbuilt of it too!! I built the Testor's "Fabulous Fords" boxed of the coupe also when New. Hope to some day finish the resto-conversion and make to Police car similar to Revell's new kit (Though finding the period correct San Diego PD decals!!!) I have a Flat box of the coupe And a Convertible to build too And I have the Revell/Momgram Woody Use to have the Pro-Modeler Convertible.
  10. Wonder why they did not offer both closed headlight & open light grills as that car(s) has been seen both ways in the different movies. or might that be in the Stock kit coming next year??
  11. At least LeMans optioned Tempest wagons were also called "Safari" in 66 & 67 I have a copy of 'The Complete Catalog of American Automobiles 46-75' and the Safari name plate is used there for those Also, at least for a time after 57, Safari was the name for ALL Pontiac Wagons I found out will have to do the 66 & 67 models like shown in the built above, just adding the GTO front clip to the AMT 65 or Revell 66 Chevelle wagon body, as they had a Shorter wheelbase than all other Tempest/LeMans cars 66 Wagons had 203.6 inch wheelbase vs 206.4 on Hardtops & convertibles While 67 Wagons had a 203.4 inch wheelbase 2 Tenths shorter than the previous year Hardtops & convertibles grew by the same 2 tenth's to 206.6 And yes the MPC 67 GTO kit has a longer wheelbase than the Revell 66 Chevelle wagon kit body!!!! With that method though the fun part will be adding the MPC 67 or Revell/Monogram 66 GTO emblems to the builds!! Foil casting will be the method, But getting them in the correct location may be difficult I would also like to add Safari Specific trim pieces to these builds But, finding them will be the MOST Fun part!!!!! Carman1, is your avatar thumb the wagon you have?? Nice But, Not sure I can do that one yet only 68/69 I have access to is the Old Monogram 1/24. NOT sure I want to try merging scales yet (unless you know where I can get a couple OLD MPC 1/25 bodies Cheap or Better FREE!!!!!!!)
  12. I wonder, (and Worry) what will happen to our hobby when China decides to do to Round2, Revell/Monogram, & Moebius what they did to Danbury Mint!!!!! I an surprised that they did not order ALL tooling sent back home then!!! (or did they not understand what happened??)
  13. Yea Like that But............... Actual cars not scale. Plus, not sure if it is MY connection or not But your pic's are Pixelized badly Are they Small and being enlarged to fit?? or Old pic's?? AND, You did the bash differently than I plan to I guess I should have posted the pic's of my 65 In Progress I kept the doors and rear quarters of the GTO, and added the roof & Tailgate of the 65 Malibu wagon Notice the tan/brown body vs gray roof & Tailgate The white wedge is where I corrected the rear quarters to match Wagon quartes and line up with the read side windows ALSO, I used the PONTIAC lettered insert from the GTO kit rather than keep the CHEVROLET insert. I also raised it up to more closely match the Pontiac piece On the 64, it should line up almost even with the top of the tail lights! NOW, BIG Question, Can I use the P-L 64?? or do I need an AMT annual body, interior, etc??????? I have a P-L body scribed for the 4 doors, but............. Also, where do I find the hash marks on the front fender Rocker area?? I can use either the AMT 65 Malibu roof & interior cargo section or the Revell 66 Chevelle Wagon roof & cargo section BUT prefer to keep the Pontiac rear quarters Tail lights for the 66 & 67 appear CLOSE to the 66 Chevy pieces, BUT......................... I do NOT see separation lines in them. AND they appear All RED! here are the back Up lights??????? I will be adding pic's I can find (and am given) to the research folder in my Photobucket) Hope to get some Good pictures. Preferably of Actual cars so they are more accurate OK, made a folder and added pic's in the Research folder. These are the types of pic's I need BUT, I need Good REAR shots, besides straight on side shots ALSO 66 & 67 Te,pest/LeMans Safari Wagons have Small Round back up lights in the Rear Bumper!!!! http://s145.photobucket.com/user/EdselDan/library/research/Tempest-LeMans-GTO Wagons?sort=3&page=1
  14. Hi all, I want to get back to a project series I started some time ago I have a Great start on the 65 Tempest/Lemans Safari wagon thanks to a photo spread in a magazine. But, I need Good side & rear shots of others. I want to do All possible, so 64, 66 & 67 will do for now They All used the same roof sheet metal as Chevy's 64-667 Malibu/Chevelle wagons! From what I have found the 64 tail lights will be the same as the 65 Tempest/Lemans wagon Those I can create out of Rev-Mono 59 Impala pieces I am Not sure on 66 or 67 tial lights. Also, I guess I need to see if the Polar Lights 64 GTO body is good enough for this project. I have a Basket case Rev 66 I can use and 2 MPC 67's to chose from, so, those are the ones I will attepmt was the roof the same through 72?? If so, I might look at those too. (or at least the 72 as that kit IS still available!!! And Yes, they will Keep GTO script!!!! Since they will all use the GTO hood's I wonder how many Tempest Safari wagons had GTO Engines, etc!!!!! Many Thanks. (and YES, I did do a SEARCH. I found only a FEW pictures that I Might be able to use)
  15. Forgot to add, I did Not realize the stupid's Pickup was NOT the kit, so NO it will not have both pickup box options. Won't have one either. Mostly for scale, but NEVER liked them Idiots either
  16. here is a VEry Good Clip on the Ecto-1 from Adam Savage's (MYTHBUSTER'S) Tested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAwqvynkMeY This is a Actual Replica, not a Model, It will Show a LOT of detail The owner took MANY Pictures of the Actual Film car, so I believe it to be VERY Accurate , they the clear band in the windows does look a little Flat--Not enough arc
  17. Gpt a Puzzle of a C6R Vette the other day Clearanced at Wally's!! Why list a Puzzle here it is a 3D puzzle and builds into a 1/32 scale Model Might want to mhurry into your local W-M's though Those Puzzle/kits Might be Done!! they were $15, but I got that Vette for $7.oo!! there was also an H2 Hummer Pickup, a Mercedes, and Audi & a BMW Not sure on any others though It might help if I take a couple pics.
  18. I can show what I did with that Pacer Wagon. Note, the wood-grain is Balsa border & Contact paper insert I saw one at the local Safeway/Thriftway when I was getting ready to build, and duplicated that car
  19. Which ones? I know thee were 3 kits I have all 3 now Pheaton, Cabriolet & Town Limo/Town Car I also have a Parts lot of the Cabriolet--NOT all of the body is there
  20. Nice Too bad it isn't 1/32 though!! HATE to see a Price though!\ Bet over $75.oo and like.y closer to 100.oo!!!!!!!!
  21. Does that mean Both Cameo fiberglass and step-side finders are included?? Remember, the Cameo did use the Step-Side box all 3 years Then in 58 they brought out the Fleetside The Fiberglass fenders were replaced with Steel outer box sides! The Stepside box sides were removed, the floor extended outward, and the steel sides mounted directly to the floor!!
  22. Actually, I was asking WHY the Grills, Bumpers, etc are x=cast in place on the body tooling on those Round2 True64 diecast Not why the price. For that price, they should be MUCH better made than they are I mean, Tampo-print Grills?? Head & tail lights?? Some of the "DIME Store" toys BELOW Hot Wheels/Matchbox Quality have separate Chrome Plastic grills. It may be part of a Plastic chassis, but...... Even Matchbox & Hot Wheels do that, and they are $1.oo Each Average!!!! At 50 cents to a Dollar Less, M2 diecast have SEPARATE Grills and even clear head light lenses!!!!!!!!!!!! At one time My local Wal-Mart (Just accross the highway) had M2 CLEARANCED!! I got several for Under $3.oo Each!! They just re-stocked that group again Stock & hot rod paint scheme 57 Chevy 210 wagon, 57 Fairlane 500 56 Pontiac VW Beetle, and MORE Some boxes show 42 + Parts to make this Vehicle!! Fewer parts in the Round2 "True64's"!! M2 have opening hoods, even doors on some NOT so on True64's So, Explain why the "True64" diecast are So LACKING in Quality & Detail that others obtain!!
  23. Was that MPC's Or Airfix's?? My bet Airfix!!!!! I have seen a couple Box Art of it. HERE (at MCM) No less
  24. I have had ONE Ultra Bright It did Not feel any different than regular. The only sheet I have they will Not stick is a Gold I go t in Cranberry, Pa, SEVERAL Years ago!! That one would Not stick to itself tacky side to tacky side!!!!!! Been Looking for their Adhesive to try to re-activate the gold sheet. NO Luck so far. Tried ONE time to order direct. They wanted #12.oo Shipping for ONE Sheet!!!! If you want thicker foil, tr\y Model Master! GARBAGE there. That one felt like Plastic Food Wrap, covered by Double face tape (BOTH sides with Kitchen foil on one side for the effect! No matter how well you burnished it down You could NOT prevent leaving a mark in it every time you touched it ESPECIALLY with your fingernail!! Detail Master was Good And a little larger than BMF, But stuck Quickly it would Not stretch like BMF!
  25. Not sure on Decent price for Greenlight diecast Even their 1/64 are High!! I mean, $8.oo-15.oo Each is NOT decent for that small a diecast M2 are $6.oo each at Wal-Mart. Sadly, Both brands are Nice, But PASS!! And Round2's Auto World True 1/64 Authentic.......... Those are Glorified Matchbox/Hot Wheels and also $6.oo or More!! Heck, a set of 6 is $43-45.oo direct from Them!! I have ONE of them and will get NO More Grills, Bumpers etc are part of the body casting!??? Really??? NO paint is going to make that look like Chrome & clear!!!!! I am HOPING Round2 re-issues their 1.43 kits. BUT even if they do.... At what Price????? The last 4 of those O got were Decent in Price. 1 48 Ford Couple Sealed Inside Under $7.50 Shipped!! Same with their 36 Ford Coupe, And 2 57 Chevy Bel Air 36 and 1 Bel Air sealed inside Other Bel Air SEALED Period and UNDER $25.oo TOTAL for the 4 Of Course, This WAS LAst year, so......
