  1. got yelled at so much about this comment I Left MCU Yahoo group, But Have to say it here too. As Nice as that 57 Ranchero Resin is, it is Incorrect for a Factory offering There were 2 versions, but neither had the Custon/standard Ranch wagon trim as the resin has. The Base level had NO side trim at all. The upper level offering has the Custom 300 trim Many owners of this version added the Del Rio side trim to it so there were some with Full Del Rio trim. And, it is not unlikely that owners of Base level Rancheros might have added the Custom/standard Ranch wagon/Courier side trim to their car.
  2. I believe another error in the 2+2 was that they did not remove the BONNEVILLE letters from the tail light panel. I have the Ertl Blueprinter announcing the 2+2, and they stated it was based on an original Kit/promo of the Catalina, and Would have the same chassis as the Grand Prix They have since re-issued the Bonnevile. Did they correctly restore it??
  3. Bad news on second link, iwatchstuff "This domain is blocked due to content filtering"
  4. Sadly, connection issues leave me with camera Icons with an 'X' in the middle Clicking on that darkens the page and brings a pop-up with count-down spiral, But after 20 MINUTES I still have NO Change!! is there a direct link to pics? I have Pulled the plug and rebooted 6 times, with NO change Both Firefox & Maxthon browsers yield same result!!!!!
  5. LOST Count!!!! Several Hundred I know that
  6. Those Hollow MPC tires were in the K&K Insurance Charger Daytona for rear tires. I had 3 of that kit so remember that detail. Fronts were Street G70 Goodyears!!! ALL 4 should have been Identical!!! I believe on other of the 70's MPC nascar kits had those tires, as die the Indy cars of that time STP Turbine Wedge & Olsenite Eagle (Again I have 1 each, uyer's Choise STP Wedge & Original Olsenite) so can check I think these were also the Hollow Baloney Tires offered as a mail in order on some Instruction sheets from then too There are 2 sizes the Wides on the Bug, and naorrower ones that MPC/AMT used on there 80's Annual Chevy pickups (Kits Not Promos)
  7. Yes. Model King had it run a few years ago just before RC2 dumped Kits & Diecast and Round2 took over
  8. Since Plastruct makes most of their Structural shapes out of ABS, their Bondene should work on those parts in this kit. Many of the sheet & strip shapes are now offered in Styrene too, but most of the Molded fittings ie pipe elbows, etc are still only offered in ABS.. I too wonder why the Mix of material in the kit
  9. I have 3 of that Ford wagon Wish I could get a Kit!!! I LOVE that 67 GTO based Tempest/LeMans wagon I want to do that too And a 66 (And 64!!) Did you just use the GTO front clip on the Malibu wagon body?? Easier than what I did with my 65!!!!!!
  10. I am trying to remember when "Quincy" was on That could be an option on a Stock build of the Ford Wagon AND would fit in the Police/Emergency vehicle builders on the Truckster kit idea Although Most of the wagons he drove were AMC, there were a couple Fords there too (Or I THINK there were) Rotator Dome would have to be clear, or Both a Clear red & Clear Amber one would have to be included as those Morgue wagons had either at times!! (Depending on episode/season)
  11. I tried ordering once directly But shipping was MORE than one sheet regardless of order. Even ordering only One sheet, shipping was More than that 1 sheet I think even ordering 4 sheets shipping made the total price DOUBLE the cost of the BMF alone! I can't afford that Anyone know how to reduce the shipping cost?? There was No option the time I tried
  12. I have a few of both Long & short stepside 67/72 Chevy/GMC kits Wish they hadn't butchered the shortbox GMC into the Cheyenne Fleetside longbox back in 95. Doubt we will see that one back out ever again. Not sure what happened to all the variants of the Longbox kit!! Maybe this era Chevy/GMC will be Moebius' next pickup
  13. Yes, fathers 'Cat was a 65.And NO it did Not have the twin-pod type dash. I remember it had the round Buick medallion in the center of the grill that only MT's 65 had. My brother & I both got 66 Annuals of the 'Cat kit at a Hardware store on Chincoteague Island, and were refering to dad's as either. We were corrected a few times that it was a 65. I do remember it was Demo at what was then Powel Buick in Salisbury (Md.) I am trying to find pictures of the car, but those are OLD to say the least and likely moved many times from one storage closet to another without rhyme or reason, so....................................
  14. I need to link this to PaperModelers forums Might be a few new paper models soon!! Not sure how much though due to prices here I did see a Free one, but......................... I can't get it Not sure if I want it though Not sure it has Stock parts!!
  15. There Were Two versions of the Edsel, but NEITHER was Custom!! We got a Deluxe issue with Fender Skirts and Continental Bumper. It was Suppose to be like the Pro-Shop 57 Chevy with Photo-Etch, etc I have a few copies of Both kits!! The only 'Other' version offered were the "Pro-Shop/Custom-Shop Pre-painted kit sold originally at Wally's and the Masterpiece Pre-built Deluxe version with Skirts & Continental kit. I have 2 of that and a few of the Wally's Painted kit too.
  16. I have had a few of the 66 Wildcat, Original annual & Customizing series re-issue and was given an unbuilt original 65 some years ago I believe you are correct only the body was altered while the interior was left unaltered My dad owned a 65. The AMT kit interior does Not match his at all Ours had a Bench seat with fold down armrest and the dash had a large rectangular Speedometer/gauges unlike the twin-pop dash in the kit.
  17. Testor's re-issued a few of the IMC kits in the late 70's in the Historic Fords Series I built the Cougar2, 48 Ford Coupe, Lotus Indy/F1 & Ford Mark4 GT.
  18. I am fairly certain the 69 AMX kit in the AMT box shown earlier was Jo-Han's kit Sold by AMT! They did a Few of them then. Including the Javelin/AMX in Race only. (Mark Donahue's to be exact, though Trams AM/IMSA or Nascar is Not labeled) It was offered in almost Identical markings but for George Folmer's T/A team. I had the Last Jo-Han re-issue of the kit (2n1 Stock & drag) and the race parts were Identical between it and my 3 AMT/Coca-Cola Donahue kits!!! AMT also sold the Jo-Han 70 Olds 442 & Toronado's in their own boxes I have Both AMT & Jo-Han USA Oldies boxes of the Tornado!! Testor's sold the 442 in their HSO series after Jo-Han;s run in the USA Oldies!! I have 2 of those!! It Is too bad about this though I too would Love to see them back!! I do Hope the rest of the kits brought Back out by Model-King get re-issued Soon! After all, They have re-issued the 69 GTO Judge Funny car, 72 Blazer, & 78/9 Ford F-250 Camper's Special/Firestone Super Stones pickup ,So Why not the others??
  19. The Body MIGHT have been Copied from the MPC 66 But Hasegawa's Bonneville was NOT the Original MPC tooled kit I have 3 of the series of 5 kits. All shared a Generic Curbside Chassis Tires & rims were Identical in most kits, but slightly different in I Think the Cadillac The Interiors were also basically Identical and Generic, differing only in whether the body style was Hardtop, like the Thunderbird & Coupe DeVille, or more Fastback like the other GM cars, Impala, Wildcat & Bonneville, and whether it had Bucket seats or a bench, Otherwise they Are identical Even to upholstery pattern!!! I have the T-Bird, Wildcat & DeVille so recognize the FEW differences in the set! The Dash was Slightly detailed on the Top, but the face was Completely Flat. A Decal was the ONLY detailing offered I see Some are still not completely reading the title here. Since when has Round2 own Revell, Monogram, etc???
  20. I remember there was Talk of POSSIBLY reverse engineering the 63 F-100 but that Was a few years ago. Nothing new for some tine on it. What happened?? Not enough interest/Pre-orders?? Even if the Shortbox Stepside parts tooling is Still good, I Doubt we will see that kit re-issued I read here (And included in my first post) that it was Modified into the Recen re-issue Cheyenne Longbox Fleetside from 95+ I know of 4 Box art issues and yet it is STILL a High Dollar Demand kit!!!! Even with the Poor Chevy grill/Front Bumper!! I Hope I am Wrong here, but........................ . The 1/32 Porsche 917 was an Airfix kit sold here by MPC I built 2 myself. As well as the VW Beetle & Capri If Re-issued, they will come from Airfix Not Round2 Did they modify the Buick Special Wagon into the Nova/Chevy2 Wagon?? If so we can Never get Either back! The Nova became the "Boss-Nova" Mid Engine Funny car. Right?? What Mustang did AMT or MPC, Or? do in 1/32?? I know of 3 (I have versions of All) by Aurora, 65 2+2 fastback (Re-issued once by Monogram) Revell 67/68 also a 2+2, and Monogram 70 Mach-1 AMT's 1/32 T-Bird was a 60 Not 50. The First 'Birds were 55's!!! a 66 Comet would Not be re-stored from the Modern tool 67, but a Modified re-issue. Just like It is a Modified re-issue of the 66 Fairlane GT/GTA I Too would Love to see Any and ALL of the Craftsman/Jr-Trophy seres kits re-issued that can be I think I read here that the 64 Comet Caliente was a Poor seller when first offered But Look at the secondary sales market It is A HIGH Dollar kit now too!!! Can that one be re-issued please?? I Would Love to know what happened to the 60 El Camino tooling too. It was available in 60 & 61, but after that what happened to it???? The 68/69? Jeepster/Commado was modified though the 72 Annual I Might be possible to re-issue it as the 72 (Not sure about the annual optional parts though) but would likely take a re-tool/New tooling to offer an earlier version I Would Love to see the Wagon/Sedan (LONG) roof returned to the kit along with the Snow plow, and Stock rims, hubcaps & tires (Police/Emergency vehicle) lights and siren parts too
  21. I agree with ANY of the AMT/MPC 67-72 Chevy/GMC Pickups However, wasn't the AMT GMC Shortbox stepside re-tooled into the Cheyenne Longbox we have had re-issued since 95? Last seen in the "Rides" box? and why the grill is Too short (not tall enough) to be separated from the bumper like the original 71/72 grill was? (They were separate parts, I have a few) Correction on 88, it is 88-97, Not 98!! They changed in 98 I Would love to see the 454SS from that series re-issued, but most of the others are readily available and Not too expensive Not sure what else I would pick besides the 60 Chevy Wagon!!!!!!
  22. But, Don't you need one of those......................... What are they?? Slice of plastic with Type on it or such. And, Don't you need a Bank to get one?? I AIN'T Got Either, so that leaves me Out of Direct ordering!!!!
  23. These "KITT's" are Back out again IN the neighborhood of $35-45.oo If you bargain hunt Even Super Pursuit & Emergency Braking version!!
  24. I too am happy to see this I have a couple Model-King issue, but can alway use another I Might even do what I did to a Motor City 70. Make a 4dr sedan!!!! Former car club member had one and I duplicated it for him. Wish I knew where either the car or model were now!!!!
  25. Comparing the pic's I think the original is a lower trim leve Merc. Notice the "U" shape piece under the side windows It is Not there on the Old pic's. Was that only on 2 tone cars? or Top Of The Line?? It is on the AMT-Revell 1/32 scale 56 Montclair Pheaton 4dr hardtop I have one.
