I have that Charger too. And the twin/Modified Cordoba. Built Way Back When! The white one is the Charger (Painted afte r the plastic yellowed badly) , the Green, the Cordoba. (only the Vinylsection of the roof is painted here--Plastic polished otherwise) The one trailer is from MPC's 1/32 73+Chev Stepside pickup The Flatbed is Scratch-Built Oh Yea, I replaced the small Lindberg tires with rubber/Vinyl ones from IMC 1/32 Nascar kits that were converted from Slotcar bodies. So they are Not correct for a Street driver!!!! But, They Do Fill the wheel wells better!!!!!!!!! And, Yeah, I think I need to re-paint the Charger!!

I believe ONLY the 62 & Possibly 63 Used the 'Galaxie' name on ALL Full sized Fords. In 60 & 61 they were Fairlane's, From 64 up they were Custom's. All had Only the Base level Trim. I have seen the Gum-Ball Rotator Dome & decals available as a set from PoliceCar Models (dot) com Too. Try there. But, I am not sure the Rotator is fully accurate as it is Too flat topped. I believe ALL Mayberry Cruisers Expect the Chevy in the Reunion Move were Round top Gum-Ball. The Chevy had a Blue Whelan Strobe Lightbar!! As for a 59, If Model Roundup is offering a Mayberry version, I Hope it looks like an LAPD car as the ONE & Only time we saw Andy In a 59 In the Danny Kaye/Danny Thomas show episode that would be the Pilot for Andy, it had the "Coffee Can" Lights on it, NOT a single Gum-Gall Dome I have a 59 Mayberry in progress!!! I have already posted pic's but can here too if desired. I believe Ed Fluck's (Drag City Resin) Father {F+F} Offered the 61 Fairlane 4dr sedan, But Ed dropped that shortly after his father retires/left the after market business. AMT's 64 Craftsman kit will take A LOT of work to convert. You Might be able to make the 61 Styline/craftsman roof work, but they are very different. Also, Removing all that chrome trim. Especially from the front fenders.The 65 & 66 can be done more easily.. And the 70 Ford Police car kit might be a good one to do too Wasn't "Mayberry RFD" still on then?? With Goober as Deputy or even Sherriff?

I had 2 of the Old F85 kit Way back when Got them at a Convenience store (Actually a Mom&Pop Sell ALL type store). "Parks Market" was the name Wish I had Parts from One of them now!! I am not that in to this type car now, But if the EDSEL or the Olds were re-issued, I Would Definitely get those!! And now I may get the Mustang to convert/bash with the 66 Coupe for a stock 2+2 myself.

Here are a few of the ones I have. All I have done on these is replace incorrect rims and fix loose fit of bumpers/grills and body-chassis These are AMT 1/43 scale kits. I got these in the 2 lots as shown. AMT 59 Thunderbird. I have not done Anything to her yet! I have several AMT/MPC 67-72 Chevy Pickup kits purchased as Builts/parts My most recent is a 60 El Camino Love those Old Built ups/parts lots. They do occasionally go Cheap!!

I have 3 of that Jo-Han 62 Lark. 1 is a Promo And That shade of Blue!! (Too bad the windshield frame is broken on it though. I was going to use a re-issue kit to replace it, but being a promo, the plastic is a mis-match!!! It is not warped, but does look Slightly Shunken!) You will Not have any trouble trading it off!!!!!!! Wish I could try!!! And, Yes I have a few like these too. Just wish the 61 Bonneville convert I got was a Kit not Promo. Wesley's Rubberized the darn thing!!!!!!! It is Still SOFT!! Got a 60 El Camino, 600 & 63 F100's under resto from built's like these!! 60 Ford was Complete, sill need 1-2 parts for 63!! I Might have Before pic's (Or In-Between) in my Photobucket.

PMC offered the Country Sedan wagon in 59 and many were sold as Toys that never warped. I know, I have 3, and a Deluxe Promo. One of my toy issues was cast and offered by Bob Swartz at Model Cars & Parts Resin MANY years ago. I do not believe he is still active. But, The 59 Ford wagon Has been offered by other resin castors, so IS out there. As for the 63 Nova/Chevy2 being re-issued in 2n1 version. That one we Might be able to say NEVER and get away with. AMT butchered that kit into the "Bossa-Nova" Mid-Engine Dragster last seen through Model King. On to which ONE I would like to see..............................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too hard to pick. I am Trying to do the 59 EDSEL Villager myself (Two actually 1 styrene & 1 Resin) so can wait on that. {Why did AMT Not have another Edsel planned for their new-tooled 58 Pacer??!!!!!} Of the MoPar listed, the 67-71 Satellites were used by LAPD for Shift Command/Supervisors (Remember Sgt. MacDonald driving them on Adam-12) Don't forget the 72/3 Matador either!!!!!! I would love the Vista Cruiser. [ANY] Though a 70 0r 72 first as They were used at Indy those years. The 72 was an out right H/O!!!!! 2 were at least, for the Track Doctors!!!!! Even if the Factory did not offer the G/P, 442, etc trim parts, That did not preclude a dealer or better, an Owner from replacing original parts with them at some point!!!!!! The 65 Tempest/Le Mans Safari I am working on will have the GTO badges & trim. (That is IF I can ever get Back to it and finish the build/Bash!!!!!) Sorry for the Long absence. The Good DELL I was using Crashed and took the Wireless adapter with it. I have a "new' HP with built in Wireless, But have to take it (TOWER/Monitor/etc Not laptop) to the Library for internet!!!!!

With a Surfboard, and what look like 2 Skate boards, I would Bet that Yes it is an RC Helo. And, Yes, I too would Love to find some of these!!!!

Actual car was a 50 though. Larger parking lights and different trunk and side trim details. Does Modelhaus offer the grill from the Aurora Mod Squad woody?? That would be correct. And I have read that the MPC Snap Mecrusy Police kit has the 50 Side trim I have the decals for this one too. I have the Classic Metal Works Diecast (Likely what this kit is from) In a Cream Close to that!!! Might use the decals on it

Try this again!!!! I LOVE this one! One of my Favorite cars the Toronado!! I have 3 of this kit. 2 are Jo-Han USA Oldies re-issues, the other an AMT boxed Original! The AMT is a restoration project, the 2 Jo-Han are unbuilt. I also have a 72 I have been trying to restore. Used parts from a 75/76 Eldorado (All the front suspension) I know Jo-Han issued the 66 First, but did they update it to 67 Spec's? or leave it as a 66 And allow AMT to issue it with 67 box art?? My MPC 67 has the front corner side lights that the AMT boxed Jo-Han doesn't!! I have a few of the Eldorados too I built the 70 shortly after it was Re-issued, and have another unbuilt. I have 2-3 unbuilt 76's too. And a few 71-74's. One will eventually be a 73 Indy Pace car!! With a ll that I have, I don't recall paying much attention to the engine markings. I would not be surprised to see them crossed over though. Most of the rest of the chassis parts Are The same tool anyway!!!

I am almost betting, That Revell never had a problem with Firestone demanding Increased fees like Goodyear. It appears that most tires that are now Blank were All formerly Goodyear branded. I have the Cali-Wheels issue of the 60 Impala has the Firestone Wide-White wall insert tires!! Sadly, all issues of the 59 Impala have the Old Generic No tread detail white wall inserts from OLD 50's/60's Monogram kits!!! I have not been able to get a recent re-issue of either 59 Caddy kit. Did they remove the BF Goodrich Silvertown labels on those??

Sounds like the same tires from the Cali Wheels issue of their 60 Impala. I have one and they Are Firestones!!! If the next version of this IS a Convert. I prefer a 50!!! INDY 500 anyone?!!!!

You Can leave the Tri-Axle trailer as is if building a Canadian unit! Watch "Highway Thru Hell" on "The Weather Channel" and see!! MANY Tri-Axle tailers Plus another semi we don't see in the US, "B Trains" 2 40 Foot trailers NOT 25-30 footers!!!!

I believe this is a Re-issue of the Dakar kit from a few years ago. And, Yes, The basic Unimog has been offered for several years! I Think I got my first 3 of it in 88!!!! TLF 8/18 Fire Department version First RoG Imports I found in a store Paid $10.oo each for them at a Big Lots/Odd Lots in McKeesrocks Pa!!! Was interesting finding the Round Tape tabs they used to SEAL the kit, versus the Shrink-Wrap done here!!!!!

As stated above It already Did with AMT/MPC kits. Most likely with Round2/Auto World's Purchase from RC2/Racing Champions/Ertl. They have already been re-issues M-K exclusives for the past 2-3 years!! I think the First was the 69 GTO "The Judge" Funny car in retro-Deluxe MPC box art.

I need to check but, I though the Ertl Truck kit tires were more A "Delryn" typeype plastic than vinyl like the AMT kits of the time.I have an International 4070 And a DM-800 tractor to check!!

Actually, You Can do Dirt cars IF they are ARCA. Treaded tires will be the only problem parts wise. Paint scheme will be Finish wise. ARCA Still runs a few Dirt races a year, AND Look IDENTICAL to Nascar Winston Cup cars as they were Bought used by many teams!! (Even/Esspecially back then!!) They May Not sell well on either evilbay or Craigs list Unless someone really wants a Specific car or driver!! I have at least 2 of that Thunderbird Rookies set for the Kulwicki car!! (And He was Leading an ARCA race at Atlanta in his Only Car "Sirloin" while going for Rookie of the Year in Cup [Or was it the Next year?], but he spun out on the back straight and flattend 3 of the 4 tires and basically out after that!! SAME Quincy sponsors on the car too!!!!

Revell/Momogram Use to It came with at least 4 different body sets in different colors. It was in the Pro-Finished series. I remember seeing it once at a Family Toy Warehouse at the same time AMT's Modern Tool 57 Chevy Bel Air debuted Got the New bel Air, But Not the Smart. Hopefully Revell re-issues it soon!!

I will have to look up to see the number of Fairlane 500 vs Galaxie Skyliners! I have the book "Standard Catalog of American Cars 1946-1975 for that. I know Galaxie was a Mid-year intro, but how far into the year was it?? And, Though the Hinging mechanism in the kit is good, it is FAR from accurate to the actual car. There was no package shelf behind the rear seat, but, it is part of the kit. It is how the roof is held to the hinges. Also, to get the front part of the roof to flip down, but still fit tight to the main section in the Up position, I had to change them from flat against the underside, to angled downward at the hinge point Which is more like the actual car too I would love one myself. ANY Year Or maybe an EDSEL Skyliner!!! 58 Or 59!! There are a few out there too!!!!! Most 58's still have the Ford Tail fin in place too!!!!!

Sounds like a Group that Need to Sit in a Prison Cell for a Few years to GROW UP!!!! Lucky none of them have been Shot yet!!! Bet that don't last as owners begin to sit and Watch their cars!!!! Or even have a Neighbor/passerby see it and run a few of them over!!

That IS exactly what that is. I have a Box I can photograph and post if interested. I also have an Unbuilt of the "Mini-Pumper" body but molded in white. The 70 Annual issue also had the Fire Truck option in it, and I THINK most 70's were molded in White I believe Most 69's were Red, Both this issue, And the Open Road Mini Motor Home kit Though I have seen a few of That one molded in blue! And the 71's were back to Red, as I have a "Racer's Wedge issue with Red pickup and White Wedge!!
