  1. Electra?? I think you mean Wildcat. Only 70 Buick I know AMT Ever offered Motor City Stocker series Craftsman/Curbside kit And Yes I wanted one but No place to get it!!!!!! Surprisingly, I have had 3 of the 71 Thunderbird (traded 1) Got All CHEAP off that evil auction site a few years ago
  2. Well, I have a Convertible so don't really care about roof inaccuracies in the hardtop. All I need to know is whether the Grill/Bumper, Hood, And Primarily the Rear Bumper will fit the Old AMT Body We will have to wait until the kit is available to test that!! I have the Original Grill, but the rear bumper is missing Both upper trim pieces. I don't have a Hood or Fender Ornaments (But those might be different on the Catalina/Ventura) I had a Complete Promo that had been Brush painted, but Wesley's Attacked the plastic It softened it almost Rubberizing it The Boot cover MIGHT fit a 1/32 or smaller kit now!! The right side of the body is Very warped now!!
  3. They Original version of this kit the GTX molded in Bright Lime Green was originally tooled in the 80's by Monogram NOT Revell So that is why it is 1/24, and detail is lacking. The Dual 4BBL setup was added to the GTX kit to make it a 2n1 about 1 year after first issued. this time in metallic Blue It has also been issued as a Superbird twice. Once in Straight Street stock format and then with Richard Petty Decals to make a Street COPY of his race car I have Both of those, the GTX & Road Runner versions Only the Lime Green GTX is Started
  4. Now the only question to be answered, is How close to Acurate is the Original AMT Annual vs the new Moebius kit???
  5. I know Bonney was Longer body & wheelbase, But What about Width?? were Ventura/Catalina narrower or same as Bonneville. That MIGHT tell me if rear bumper will fit an AMT annual Convertible!! Most I find are missing the upper segment like Both of mine!!!!
  6. Wonder if we might be getting a convertible kit in a year or 2??? I Would Love to see that one come out!!! I also wonder if some of the parts will fit an Old Original AMT annual Bonneville??!!
  7. 69/70 Cougar was on the high outside my house yesterday. Saw a 66/67 Nova last week License plate was Maryland Expire 3-3-67 Cougar was light blue, Nova Marroon I don't carry my camera while Driving!!!!
  8. Andy, If I can Manage to get any of these, I will TRADE you 8-Lugs fro Stock Hubcaps!!!!!!!!!!! I will likely have to use AMT tires though. Did Catalina/Ventura offer a Convertible?? I would Love one Wide-Whites for that one!!!!
  9. I wanted to come, But needed some one from Norfolk/Va Beach area going and coming Up DelMarVa!!! (My car don't like to go 15 miles from home!!!!!)
  10. Nice, I want a few of these, but they are no longer in Hobby Lobby!! Did any State DOT/SHA use Red lights?? I guess they Could, but were they classified as Service vehicles, or Emergency Vehicles??
  11. I think the Lime Green Coupe of the Monogram 36 Did include the Convertible parts too I had one and had started it but traded it off since it was hot-rod only It DID have both top options!!
  12. Most likely too brittle. They Should be able to list them as an Adult Classic Collectible item to get past the wire problem
  13. The Safari is a Kit-bash--Look at the 3 different colors of plastic in the body!!!!! I did say it was From a Tan issue of the GTO!!!! Roof from AMT 65 Malibu Wagon--Gray Also look at rear fenders, Notice the white wedge shape there?? That is where I raised the fender top to line up correctly with the window above. I am hoping to some day alter 2 Good GTO interiors into an accurate 4dr interior and only use the cargo area from a Malibu interior tub. I would Love to do this with Polar Lights 64 & Rev 66, but need goor 4-5 view pic's of them to do that!! I have the pic's for the 65. Just need to remember what I did with that Magazine!!!!!
  14. I have the "Elegance" Series of the kit. Here with its Twin Tempest LeMans Safari (From the tan issue) http://s145.photobucket.com/user/EdselDan/library/Models/Projects/65%20GTOs?sort=3&page=1
  15. I remember 2 Sports car racers Think Le Mans/Daytona 24 Hours A Ford Cooper & Ferrari. One time offered as a 2 car kit, then separately I have had Both versions of the pair. The rear "Sports car" Tires are on my Rescue Ambulance issue of Revell's 1/32 Chevy Van!!! I too would like to see many of Revell's AND Amt's & MPC's 1/32 scale kits re-issued But, I am looking for the more Stock kits. 65 BArracuda, GTO, Mustang 2+2 (ex Aurora) SWAT Van & Nova (But that was butchered into a Custom "El Camino" type as well as the Buick & Mercury 55/56 Annuals. All the others were re-issued but not those 2!! AMT's All Stars (The Avanti is Suppose to be out this year) I hope the others will follow. 60 Thunderbird, 61 Falcon Ranchero, 63 Split-Window Vette 40 Ford Sedan. I know there are others I am forgetting. MPS 1/32 kits I would like to see again are the 77/78 Monaco Police That was Issued only ONCE and now Impossible to find!!!! The Dodge Van, Futuristic Van, 32 Ford Panel & 73+ Chevy Stepside pickup These 4 were re-issued in many sets including Star Wars, Dukes Of Hazzard Comic character (Hulk, etc), Emergency vehicle, and Atari games Are some of the Monogram 1/32 snap Car kits Back again?? I know the semi's are getting re-issued, but the cars? 69 Camaro, & Mach-1, 78 Vette, 68 GTO, ZZ Top Ford Coupe, Cobra Roadster?? Last I saw they were in Seasonal series, I got a few Halloween & Winter Clearanced from W-M and YES, Several at 50 CENTS each!!!!!!! I started buying them at 75 Cents Clearance!!!!! I would also like to see The Monogram Glue series re-issued EXP, Nova, and esspecially the 69 Charger!!!!!! These go HIGH too IF found
  16. Will there be an issue with Standard Hubcaps coming? I just Don't like those 8-lugs. I have a set of AMT Bonneville caps I can use if not.
  17. Here is the Photobucket Folder. http://s145.photobucket.com/user/EdselDan/library/Models/Buses/Hino%20S%20Elega?sort=3&page=1 All seats are Separate (45!!) As are all Light & reflector lenses. Chassis has separate suspension and other parts, but, there is no engine. I don't care. I just like Odd kits like BUSES!!!!! The Isuzu BXD's are Promo/Craftsman like kits.
  18. I see that BXD-30 and will Raise you THREE More. Sadly, this one was Choppped before I got it. It Did come withthe front clip from an "Orange Blossom Special" though!!! I also have this Hino S'Elega Demo This one is also sold as an Isuzu Gala!! I have not yet found the total number of releases of these 2 Bus kits. And there are Others too!!!!!!!. All in 1/32 scale. Too bad Rev/Rev-Germany has not done this with there 2 Bus kits Offer smaller runs in different Liveries I lke those Diorama kits too Wish I had a Friend over there still!! Tried SEVERAL times to post this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I know that a Pic of the 72 Matador was shown, But Which Adam-12/LAPD Cruiser would you Choose first?? There were 5 Different Cruisers for ADAM-12 Alone during the 8 year run. Pilot+67 Belvedere (This one would be easiest as they have the GTX/Coronet tooling!!) First season= 68 Bevlvedere New Tooling Second + Third season= 69 Belvedere New Tooling Forth + Fifth season= 71 Satellite (Again a Possibilty based off Monogram 1/24 Satellite/GTX) Sixth-eighth Seasons= 72/73 Matador New Tooling Don't forget the Other Cruisers seen Mac, or Lt usually drove a Wagon!! Also seen were 70/71 Mercury Sedan version of Cyclone 70 Dodge Coronet 70 Satellite Wagon 74/5/6? Matador Of all, Which would be Most popular?? Also What year Cadillac Ambulance?? The picture is of Jo-Han's kit. But, What about a later one (Based off 84 DeVille Lo-Rider), or earlier one?? Round2 could decide to offer a Standard Ambulance off of Either of their 2 Ghostbuster's 59 Cadillac Ambulances!! They could also decide to do either 68 or 69 Belvedere 4dr Sedan based off their 68/9 Road Runner/GTX tooling

  23. 404 error on the Instructions link
  24. My 72 Annual Chevy Cheyenne had 2 through the chassis to the Radiator wall, but the Jeep Commando did not have any!! My guess, it that there was NO promo of the Commando, so it did not have them, it had a More detailed chassis, etc. The Pickup was still offed as a Promo through the 72 Model Year so,I believe that is why the screws were left in use. I believe the AMT Countdown series were the first re-issues I bought with Pins used instead of Screws. Jo-Han had Pins when I first started getting them. (USA Oldies) Except for the Police Pursuit 68 Fury, 66 Cadillac Ambulance/Hearse kit and Chrysler Turbine Full detail glue kit They Never had Screws. They Original Annual 68 Furys Might have, but the 4dr Sedan Never did. I have a few Original issues, so I can check that. Same for thr Ambulance/Hearse. The Biggest changes those saw was the replacement of the 1/16 inch Wire rod axles with 1/8 inch plastic ones, and the Clear red (& Blue on Police Fury) went from Painted/Tinted clear parts, to Molded In color. I found the red to strip much easier than the blue I believe that the "Drive" Screws were Custom made for AMT, MPC & Jo-Han and that who ever did so is no longer arround. That is why Standard Sheet-metal type screws are used now (71 Thunderbird, 70 Ford Police, 70 Pontiac Bonneville Convert, etc) I believe #4 is the size Wood or Sheet-Metal to get at the local Hardware store. That is what I have used anyway.
  25. his was posted before somewhere. (maybe even here) Weekend racers.
