I have tried to restore it, but a couple posts are missing I am looking for a replacement body And before anyone says it is available in resin. Look at the Door location on the kit, and on the resin!! Yes, the resin is based on this, but door moved to Right side!!!
  3. I believe they are a kit to themselves! Sure look like it! Besides, How many 1/6 scale car kits are there?? And it looks like there is ONLY One wheel per kit. You want to buy 4 separate kits to place the On a car??

Grill was lost in 73 or so!!71 & 72 are almost Identical! 71 was molded in red, 72 in blue and body got a metallic clear-coat. It was called out as "Pre-painted Metallic Blue Body" on the box!! And, Yes, I would Love to finish the restoration on her!!!

  15. Yea!! Others had Jacked up Rear suspension, but I think this was the only one with front lifted axle too!! It WAS the Last for the Twin inlet Turbo!! Sadly, I used it, and Cut the hood for it! Will be a LONG time before I can replace it!!!

  19. Well, I have 4 different Gundam's and the 3 Gigantic's kits Harry shows in an earlier post. I built 2 of the Original 4 back when first issued Mantis & Scorpion. The only one I have never had and Fourth of the series is the Wasp One thing I like about the Gundam's is that One Sprue of parts can be 5 different colors!!! Including Clear tint! And I did like the Movability of the built Robot. I need to take pic's of these some day!! I also have a Yardsale find of the Visible Woman in a revell box
  20. I remember reading or seeing many of those Independence day models being sold.
  21. Except for the Convertible & Hardtop versions of their Annuals, AMT's Kits most likely did not share tooling between different body style cars of the same vintage/year untill the 64 El Camino & Mailbu Wagon kits. We can see that in the re-issues of the 65's which is what became of the 64's!! Engine, Chassis and Chrome tree are shared. Body, & Interior are different between the 2 kits. How many parts are shared between the Original AMT 60 Impala Hardtop/Convertible and the El Camino or Wagon?? Remember, the Wagon was Only a Promo in 60 too! It came out as a Kit in 62-63 in the Junior Trophy Series Also, Did the 63 Nova/Chevy2 Wagon share any parts with the Hardtop/Convertible??
  22. For more info on Wooden Ladders check out San Fransisco FD. They STILL USED Wooden Ladders only a few years ago!!! And they are Serial Numbers I believe Ladder #1 is Still in use!!!! However, They last master carpenters who repair & maintain them were past retirement age!! So, Are they Still using them now, or are they having to replace them with Steel, Aluminum, Fiberglass or other material??? I do love this!! I always wanted that larger copy of the Dennis, but think I will stick to Smaller builds now!!
  23. Ertl offered a Diecast nascar cup car of this era Impala/Caprice. Ready to display/Play with, and even kit Richard Petty's 43 or DW's 88 Gatorade were the only 2 versions offered. I have the Kit version of th e88!! It did not have the "Fishbowl" rear window, though I think when used on track they DID!! Aerodynamics! This is what Modelhaus used to make the Impala/Caprice sedan!!
  24. Beautiful. I have 2 of th e1/32 of this Engine. Will likely use your Wip for info on the restoration of my original build, and twin.
