  1. This will be the Third issue of that Rescue Blazer and Fourth of the kit itself!! New Tool. NO Way It was re-issue only a few years ago as a 75 Not showing, but including all the rescue parts & decals Identical to the first Rescue issue. If they were going to re-tool it, why not make it a Full Glue kit??
  2. You offering to supply a link/purchase location?? I have seen these on evilbay from RecoveryChannel, Tokyo Hobby, & TomChina only!!! I would love to get one or both of those kits!! How about a Drum Set, Banjo, Saxaphone, etc?? Bad news, The Banjo& Sax were at least $125.oo++ EACH!! and over $20.oo more shipping
  3. Looks like that is a Yes!! I had one in a Jo-Han box. No idea where it might be now
  4. Steve is correct. AMT issued many Jo-Han kits from 66 through the mid 70's That is only ONE of the Jo-Han Javelin/AMX offered in an AMT box They also offerd the Penski Mark Donahue Nascar/Trans Am kit. It was available both in stores and through Coca-Cola. I have 3 for Proof!! 1 bought in a JJ Newberry's the other 2 ordered from a card in a carton of Coke!!! AMT also boxed the 66-68 & 70 Olds Toronados. I have the 67 & 70 in AMT and 2 70's in Jo-Han boxes AMT also used the same Blue-Steak Stock car tires in their nascar kits that Jo-Han did.
  5. Do all of AMT's Challengers have Rubber/vinyl seats?? Where can I get Styrene/resin replacements?
  6. ALL AMT Annuals save those that only were offered as Hardtop/sedan or Wagons had a Convertible Interior. AMT issued the Convertible first then the Hardtop leaving the interior tub unchanged. I Have Too many of those Oldies to not know that!! I have already fir the 59 Impala interior into the Buick body. I did have to file the chassis plate & underside of the interior to allow it to fit. My Buick kit had a Separate Roll pan under the bumper It is not easy to see here. and more so since the chrome has faded off the bumper. I added the backup lights. they are Aluminum tube & clear rod filed to rough shape I need parts for my Galaxie. (And to find the box or instruction sheet. But I Am working to restore it Here is a pic. Only have that one hubcap
  7. The MPC 67-72 Chevy Pickups were also Promos so limitations from that were added. Surprised they diod the Bed proto-typically. But maybe at the time they could not do it the cheap poorly detailed single piece like they do now. I do like Revell's OLD school method on the VTS Ram. My 60 & 63 Ford's are like that Cab & box sides cast in one piece with the bed floor and cab back wall in the Ram as separate pieces.
  8. Me Too!!!! Wish they had found it when they did the Imperial Here is mine. It started as the Boondock Bommer kit!!! Windshield frame is now from a Monogram 59 Impala!! Might use the interior from that too. Just try to modify it to Buick patterns Note the added Electra 225 rocker trim!!
  9. The Boondock is a Race/Rally car. I call them the Desert race or Desert Rally series Think Baja 500/Baja 1000 The Characters in the car don't look Latino to me so I don't count them in the 'South Of The Border' series I have 3 from that series including the Buick! The other 2 are "El Ranchero Grande" 62 Falcon Ranchero and 'Tourista Turismo' 62 Galaxie hardtop. The decal sheet was identical in all of the series. It included all the kit names, generic numbers and different number boards, ie flamed box/rectangle on the Buick box above. Wish this series could be re-issued! Or at least the cars in the series. Too many were destroyed ie 'Mexicali Mudlark' 66 Buick Skylark I do not remember the original tires in my 2 Boondock Bombers being White walls like in the box art This 59 Buick could Only be built Stock!! The Ranchero had Some custom parts. I do not remember if the Galaxie was 1 or 2 option. Too Long ago, and I am not sure where the instruction sheet is now!! I think the Thunderbird could be re-issued, and we Did get the Caliente from Model King a few years ago.
  10. I have 2 Older issues. I traded the interior tud from one. Many have said the tub is too short, but Both oif mine were correct length. Just the one in the W-M Checker-Board box was ingraved as a 2 door not 4 dr like it should be. I need to get back to them some day. I took some pic's of the tubs, but they are not in my Photobucket albums Chassis/Engine/etc are identical to the Vicky, and all other AMT 32 Ford kits.
  11. I can not say what rims were in the Firefighter issue even though I have one. I was given this by a friend already built. I re-built it and painted it. I also replaced the thin round tail lights.
  12. Nice box top collection. But there is at least one more not included. The "Topless Pickup" version.
  13. They take away accuracy, and narrow the interior of it. Especially the flood/bed. They are more susceptible to warping in a way that requires cutting them apart anyway to straighten. IF they Can be that is.
  14. My Pumpin' Iron issue only had the one grill & hood. It Was opened missing the tires, but there did not appear to be sprue locations that were missing such large parts.
  15. I love this too. Love Wagons, but this is one of the best.
  16. Thanks. They do need to go through the Car/Truck wash though. They are Very dusty due to age!!!!
  17. I have a Free Demo of this or v1. I have the CD/DVD of 18 Wheels Of Steel--Hard Truck. I too use the keyboard, but want a steering wheel controller. I have not really tried Euro Truck yet.
  18. here is the MPC 72 Annual box. One of these was my First version of this era Chevy/GMC Pickup kits!!! Still have most of it.
  19. I believe for the most part the cab is the same in all kits. I know the Parking lights for th 72 are Still in the grill/bumper divider bar!! Also, Though the Pumpin' Iron box art shows the Li'L Red grill, I believe it came with the 79/80 instead. I need to dig it out, but do not remember it having the round headlights of the 77/8 Li'l Red. I built one with the Monogram 1/32 scale Mack CF Pumper body . I got the kit Cheap due to being open and missing the tire.
  20. I have one of his castings. a 60 Olds 98 Convertible. Not the best. It has a Thin Skin filled with Bondo. That fill was still Soft years after getting it. The front grill, bumper, headlights,Rear bumper, Tail lights and Boot cover are all cast in place. The chassis was a Flat plate with locators for brass/copper/metal tube axle mounts. When I got it the windshield frame was broken. I have replaced it and the chassis with the parts from a Monogram 59 Impala.
  21. Believe it or not, There IS a Landmaster in the works!! However, Not many here will want one. It will be PAPER!!!!! I believe the scale will be 1/43 at least on the first offering.
  22. Ertl re-issued these under the AMT name in the 80's. They included all the 'Gangbuster' parts, but not the decals. I got all 3 in the series Licoln Sprt-Touring, Chevrolet Cabriolet, & Chrysler Imperial Convertible. I also have a Stock only MPC Connisouer's Classic issue of the Lincoln Roadster. AMT used the Connisouer's Classic name on their re-issue too. The Ganbuster parts include separate Bullitt rittled windows and radiators, Figures, guns, knives, hand grenades, etc. The Chrysler had a Safe, Briefcase with cash, and a second one with jewels. The Lincoln Touriing a Violin case, Alkie can, 12 clear Bottles and 2 cases for them
  23. Here are a couple pic's of the Ford LN Race car transporter. This is an Original Richard Petty Team set with the Dodge Sportsman Kit Car Petty Enterprises was to sell these for MoPar. Not sure how long they did or if they did I opened all compartments, hinges are cut from 1/16 inch Copper tube. I added the steering too. Paint is Testor's 1208 rattle can. Built Back when New!!
  24. I have the Pontiac & Nova Convertibles as well as the Stock issue Falcon hardtop. Some of the inaccuracies I can see, some I can't. I am disappointed in 2 factors in the Falcon. First, Both THE Bonneville & Nova has Steering kitted, while the Falcon doesn't. Second, The Tires in the Falcon should be the same as in the Nova, (Those match the tires on an Original AMT 64 falcom Promo), but are slightly taller. I can fix both of these. Cut the steering gear apart and assemble with pins to make it movable, and replacing the tires. But I would like to trade the Hardtop for a Convertible before I start modifying it. I have the ALF Pumper too. I would love to get more of that one. The Hobby shop I go tit at ordered it for me, and got a second to put on the shelf. I like that place, but can't get to them as often as I want. He discounts Plastic kits 10 or 15% out the door. They are firstly a Fiber-glass Boat manufacturer. The Shop is in front of the factory. Also, he is in Delaware, NO sales tax!!!
  25. Sounds like the "Travolta" Firedbird. Did it have the 'Whale-tail' type spoiler too??
