Most, if not all, of the "Rides" kits had some, um, "interesting" features. The 65 Ford and the 55 Nomad had lowered suspensions achieved by "bending" the rear axles. The 40 Ford Sedan Delivery; well, you can see the box art. Basically, the whole series is, um, fubar, but good for parts.

In my experience, chat rooms are most successful when there are regularly scheduled chats. Randomly dropping in is a lot like randomly picking up the phone; no one's going to be there.

Is there any way to tell if the decals are bad short of applying them or should I just assume that the decals in the box are defective? How does one contact them for replacement?

Don't let it get to you; those types are all over Craigslist; "Yeah, we have a deal; first one here with the cash ..." Had the same thing happen to me. I had called the guy, made a deal, he was giving me directions to his place and his neighbor walks up and gives him cash. 'Uh, sorry dude, I just sold it.' He's giving me directions and making another deal on it at the same time! Other side of the coin; I was selling a car. Guy wants it, he's hooking up his trailer right now and he'll be here in an hour. No show. Three days later he calls and wants to show up at 6 in the evening. "Weren't you supposed to be here like three days ago? Where are you coming from, Argentina? Car's sold!" The flakes are everywhere. Oh, word of advice: have ready access to the cash before going shopping. Nothing irritates a seller like having to wait for someone to arrange their finances.

Well ... we could have a win-win situation since the Poison Pinto and Rat Vega are both Monogram kits and would have no bearing on what Round 2 would do.

Looks cool enuff to my eye! Only thing I would address (and it's a tin little detail) is that character line on the front fender between the wheel and the door. It doesn't line up with the character line that runs through the door and into the quarter panel. It just screams out "I'm the wrong front sheet metal!"

Fujimi makes a kit of the Prius. Hobby Link Japan show it as "Out Of Stock" though.

Ah, but I think she was wrong and just not up to the challenge. I have relatively short and stubby fingers. Short stubbies mean work arounds. Barre chords become abbreviated 4-string (sometimes 5-string if I'm lucky) chords. I lose some of the bass intonation but that's why we have a bass player, right? I've been playin' at guitar for right at 40 years. I'm not a big name pro (I play in a church band, do some traditional country/gospel) but I have fun with it.

I know, right. Build it or don't, correct it or don't. It's really simple. You don't really think that Revell is going to spend the cash to correct a 50 year old tool, do you?
