  1. "Nobody's Fault But Mine" was yet another song that Zeppelin stole without giving any credit. It's amazing how many songs we all think of as Zeppelin originals are either direct ripoffs or slightly reworked versions of somebody else's work (and I say that as a huge Zeppelin fan)! I hate to admit it, but they stole from everyone! The original "Nobody's Fault But Mine"...
  2. That car is bigger than my first house was!
  3. I like that better than the original!
  4. Look for a copyright date somewhere on the box.
  5. How would a car whose wheels/tires are touching the fenders ever work? How would the steering or suspension work? Nicely done model, very nice and clean, great paint. Can't argue with the craftsmanship... but I guess I just don't get this style.
  6. Love the colors, love the wire wheels, and Dan is right... they are screaming out for a black wash. They will look so much better.
  7. Is it possible to do a cover version of your own song? Grace Slick wrote "Somebody to Love" (and "White Rabbit") while she was a member of The Great Society, a local San Francisco band. After The Great Society broke up, Signe Anderson, the lead singer of another local San Francisco band Jefferson Airplane, left that band due to the birth of her child. The Airplane asked Grace Slick if she would like to join the band and replace Signe. And the rest, as they say, is history. Everyone knows the Airplane's version of "Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit," so here's a "reverse cover"... the original version of "Somebody to Love" recorded by Grace Slick and The Great Society before she joined Jefferson Airplane and they had a big hit with the song...
  8. Very sharp and clean. I like it!
  9. Where's the definition of "Dagmars?"
  10. Bondo and duct tape? Isn't that overkill? Belt and suspenders? Duct tape alone should do the trick. Better yet, use that aluminum duct tape and your repairs will never rust!
  11. And why would the reviews from people here be any more relevant than the reviews from all those other sites? Do people that build model cars have some sort of special insight into computer keyboards that all other people don't have?
  12. One of my all-time favorite songs. Never heard it done like this! Pretty cool...
  13. Yep, that's a good one! But "Come Together" wasn't totally a Beatles original. Hmmm... I wonder if they ever heard this song?
  14. David Bowie vs. Nirvana? That's kid's stuff! How about ABBA vs. ZZ Top?
  15. There are a lot of good tribute bands out there, but these guys are really good. They're from the Netherlands, so their native language isn't English... but they do a whale of a job covering the Eagles. They're known as the "Dutch Eagles," and if you can get past the lead singer's slight Dutch accent, they do a great job on this. The guitar solos at the end might not be Don Felder and Joe Walsh... but darn close!
  16. Good question. I was wondering that myself.
  17. Yep, that's a completely different take on that song!
  18. Well, I hafta say I like the Byrds' version better... but the Ramones' take on it was pretty cool! I do like the Ramones in general.
  19. How cool! I never knew he did this.
  20. Speaking of the Beatles... there was a big special on TV a month or two ago, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles' first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show... a lot of great Beatles covers were performed, with people like Joe Walsh and Dave Grohl and Peter Frampton and Jeff Lynne (ELO) and many others too numerous to mention... and Paul and Ringo enjoying the show... but this is my favorite from that show. John Legend and Alicia Keys (hubba hubba! ) doing "Let It Be." Lousy video quality, but you'll get the idea...
