  1. Looking forward to seeing you again John.
  2. Bumping this and hoping to see some Forum members at the Show this Sunday.
  3. Excellent work Tim.
  4. If I do that will I be using up my "allotted" space for pictures? Is there a problem for viewers having to click on my Fotki Link???
  5. Thanks very much Carl and Chris.
  6. Nice work so far Ray.
  7. Thanks a lot guys.
  8. That is looking good Peter.
  9. That looks nice Paul, I like the color combo.
  10. Thank you all very much for your kind comments. It doesn't look all that great in person, but I guess we are all our own worst critics.
  11. This beast started out as an old glue bomb that I picked up at a show about 2 years ago. It was unpainted but it had holes for the mirrors, antennas and the trunk mounted spare tire bump which was missing, and there were glue blobs everywhere. I puttied in the holes and sanded them smooth along with all the glue blobs. The paint is Duplicolor Bright Aqua Metallic with BMF trim. The grille, bumpers and windshield are Modelhaus replacements, and the convertible boot, taillights and mirror are from my parts box. This is far from my best model but I am just very happy to have finally finished it after having it take up space on my workbench since the end of last year. http://images49.fotki.com/v606/photos/9/3018309/13823717/IMPERIALMODELFINISHED11024x731-vi.jpg http://images20.fotki.com/v355/photos/9/3018309/13823717/IMPERIALMODELFINISHED21024x746-vi.jpg http://images49.fotki.com/v569/photos/9/3018309/13823717/IMPERIALMODELFINISHED31024x763-vi.jpg All comments, good or bad, are welcomed. Thanks for looking in on this.
  12. John, Replicas & Miniatures Co of MD makes a '49 Merc resin convertible without the "dip" in the fender line (see the model I built of it) http://images53.fotki.com/v1502/photos/9/3018309/12461152/SIDEVIEW800x579-vi.jpg If you contact Norm Veber ( ReplMinCOMD@aol.com ) I'm sure he can hook you up with one of his kits. You'll need one of the Revell Merc kits to finish it.
  13. Very, very nice Al. Great job.
  14. John, yes, the Revell chopped Custom Merc does come with Caddy Sombrero hubcaps.
  15. Thanks Bernard. I did post pictures in the beginning of this thread with Links to my Fotki URL.
  16. Thanks John. I don't think that this kit was a Modelhaus master. From the looks of the inside of the body, it had the posts that the chassis screwed into. I believe the kit was made from an original '56 Caddy promo.
  17. That is looking great Steve. Your interiors are outstanding.
  18. That is looking really nice John.
  19. This is the only Model Forum that I go on. I "tune in" at least a couple of times a day, as I am also retired. The only other site I go on regularly is EBAY to look for stuff and to follow up on my "watched" items. I'll bid only up to a certain amount. I order kits and aftermarket stuff mostly online for multiple items to make the shipping charges more reasonable. I do not do Facebook. Most days I'd say I could average a couple of hours on the computer.
  20. Wow Charles, that is an outstandingly realistic looking diorama. Your work reminds me of Ken Hamilton's diorama work. Very good job Charles.
  21. Thank you so much for your great comment guys. I really appreciate it.
  22. Thanks very much for your kind words guys.
  23. Great pictures Doug. Thanks for sharing with us all.
