I received an E-Mail notification from Galaxie today that they are now taking orders for the new '46 Chevy Fleetline Woody and the Coupe. Order through their website. The kits will be in their wearhouse by August 1st. A little pricey IMHO at $41.95 each, however I'll be ordering at least i of each.

I've got a Fender Precision Bass and a Fender Bassman 100 Amp. I was in many different bands from the 60's through early 2000 but I haven't played at all since I had several TIA's in June of 2000. I do miss playing but I realize that those days are long gone for me.

Yeah...... You guessed it...... It rained again today .

IMHO the Revell Impala kit is great. All the separate chrome trim pieces really fit perfectly and look great. I built mine to remember a neighbors car when I was 12 or 13 years old. His car lit the car-loving and model building fire in me. Here are some pictures of my model... http://images51.fotki.com/v282/photos/9/3018309/13422050/1958CHEVROLETIMPALA11024x719-vi.jpg http://images53.fotki.com/v716/photos/9/3018309/13422050/1958CHEVROLETIMPALA21024x748-vi.jpg http://images16.fotki.com/v220/photos/9/3018309/13422050/1958CHEVROLETIMPALA31024x741-vi.jpg http://images43.fotki.com/v1369/photos/9/3018309/13422050/1958CHEVROLETIMPALA41024x741-vi.jpg http://images20.fotki.com/v1534/photos/9/3018309/13422050/1958CHEVROLETIMPALA51024x757-vi.jpg

Blair, your good work deserves publication...... Congratulations. -
Welcome to our plastic playground Mark.

Harry, I totally agree with you that this Forum is a great place. Once you learn to either just laugh at or ignore the pot stirrers and thin-skinned troublemakers......

I surely would if only I could Ed. Mother Nature needs to learn to "share the wealth" of wet weather...... If only that were possible.

Hope you have a great day Tom.

Thanks guys. At some point in time I'll get around to taking the Cadillac apart and repainting the doors.

During May and June I was able to acquire several Diecast cars on EBAY that filled in "holes" in my ever-growing 1950's model collection. I got them all for pretty cheap prices. Here are links to pictures of them... Window crazing from ca glue
Ramfins59 replied to guitarsam326's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
You can use non-fogging CA glue which is usually labelled "Gold". It does not cause fogging or frosting on either clear or chromed parts. I get it at my LHS, and it is now the only CA glue that I use. -
Looks great to me Ray.

Hope you have a great day Sam.

It was an old cigar box as he stated.

That's a beautiful looking car.

Applying Clear Lacquers
Ramfins59 replied to Miatatom's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I also use Duplicolor clear from the can, always with good results. I've occasionally used Tamiya clears, both gloss and semigloss, also with good results from the cans. -
Hope you had a great day Ray.

So very sorry for the loss of Amy's Mom John. Sincere condolences to you both.
