  1. I would buy multiples of any modern truck kit Ford, Dodge, GM, or Toyota. I build mostly trucks and cannot get enough of the truck kits that were produced in the 90's by AMT/Ertl. I find it strange that most moddlers here and at my local club say that they dont like the truck kits and dont build them, but when you ask them to trade or to buy the kits they act like they are made of gold and refuse to give them up.
  2. Great Job Matt. I really like weathered vehicles they are one of my favorite subjects and you did a wonderful job on this one. Not too little and not over the top, just right. You have a tallent and I hope to see more of your work.
  3. You and your family are in my prayers.
  4. That looks real good. Do you have anything planned for a trailer?
  5. I got a verbal warning from a local Police Officer to slow down. 67 in a 55. My spedo said I was doing arround 57. I guess its time to have it looked at. I dont want any more problems.
  6. I got a Supercrewzer in the mail today. Thanks Dee.
  7. Compact cars are just not that popular where I live. They dont offer the ride, comfort and space a full grown SUV or Pickup Truck can. Im not trying to hurt anyone's feelings but mostly High School kids drive compacts arround here until they can afford to get something else. I always thought it was odd that there are not many pickups in Europe. I noticed that they use a lot of van's for work vehicles instead. I would think that a pickup would be popular worldwide.
  8. I never would have imagined I would be saying this but, that is a good looking Citation.
  9. This is what happens after Godzilla eats a car.
  10. You can see pic's of Officers in uniform at the Texas Department of Publis Safety website and the Dallas Police Department website. I don't know the exact URL but you can do a search with any search engine.
  11. I would love to read a tutorial on how you did the weathering on this truck. It looks great.
  12. Aftermath pic's on our local news sites for those who may be interested. WFAA, Myfox4dfw, NBC5I and CBS11.
  13. I live a good 40+ miles north of West and I heard the explosion. It shook the windows and doors of my apartment. I thought it was thunder until I turned on the news. That was one powerful explosion. My prayers are with the people of West.
  14. That looks great, keep it going. That is what those trucks were built for and they always look great wearing their "work clothes".
  15. Great color and thanks for the inspiration. That is one cool rod.
  16. The closest kit I know of is the AMT 1950 Chevy. I don't think that there is much difference between 1950 and 1952 model years.
  17. #8 A hobby knife that wont cut what you need it to will go through your finger like it was soft butter. #9 When you get that perfect flawless color on the body the clear will craze or fog up if you dont drop it first.
  18. Good job on the cop cars. The answer to your question about both departments being on the same scene is yes. Texas Highway Patrol has jurisdiction about everywhere in the state and they do stop to assist other departments and agencies. Some times they will arrive at the scene of another departments traffic stop to make sure everything is ok and if anyone needs assistance. It also goes the other way. Many State Troopers work alone and their closest backup may be miles away. It is not uncommon for local departments to assist the Highway Patrol or provide backup.
  19. Looks great. I like it. Im guessing the cage on the windshield is for wildlife, or does it serve some other purpose?
  20. Looks good. It doesnt look like you rusted up much at all.
