I would buy multiples of any modern truck kit Ford, Dodge, GM, or Toyota. I build mostly trucks and cannot get enough of the truck kits that were produced in the 90's by AMT/Ertl. I find it strange that most moddlers here and at my local club say that they dont like the truck kits and dont build them, but when you ask them to trade or to buy the kits they act like they are made of gold and refuse to give them up.

Compact cars are just not that popular where I live. They dont offer the ride, comfort and space a full grown SUV or Pickup Truck can. Im not trying to hurt anyone's feelings but mostly High School kids drive compacts arround here until they can afford to get something else. I always thought it was odd that there are not many pickups in Europe. I noticed that they use a lot of van's for work vehicles instead. I would think that a pickup would be popular worldwide.

You can see pic's of Officers in uniform at the Texas Department of Publis Safety website and the Dallas Police Department website. I don't know the exact URL but you can do a search with any search engine. -

I live a good 40+ miles north of West and I heard the explosion. It shook the windows and doors of my apartment. I thought it was thunder until I turned on the news. That was one powerful explosion. My prayers are with the people of West.

Great color and thanks for the inspiration. That is one cool rod.

The closest kit I know of is the AMT 1950 Chevy. I don't think that there is much difference between 1950 and 1952 model years.

Revell Caprice TX DPS and Dallas Police Car

Good job on the cop cars. The answer to your question about both departments being on the same scene is yes. Texas Highway Patrol has jurisdiction about everywhere in the state and they do stop to assist other departments and agencies. Some times they will arrive at the scene of another departments traffic stop to make sure everything is ok and if anyone needs assistance. It also goes the other way. Many State Troopers work alone and their closest backup may be miles away. It is not uncommon for local departments to assist the Highway Patrol or provide backup. -
