  1. Have you thought about writing Fujimi to see about getting a replacement light cover? Looking really good!
  2. Really nice build. The in progress shots made it nice and easy to follow along.
  3. Alright, I am all ready to follow along..
  4. Very cool! I am from Anderson Indiana, only been gone about 6-7 yrs now. Is Gupta Hobby still in Muncie?
  5. On my chopped 32 I also stuggled with the floor pan. I like what you ended up with for sure.
  6. Thanks guys, I should have some more picturesup tomorrow. I started the buff work on the paint already. Then I can finish up the interior, then final assembly! I started this a few weeks back, but have not been good about taking pictures along the way.
  7. Really enjoying the fabrication on the chassis work. This one is coming together nicely.
  8. @ Joker, Rob, Nick, Ray and Carl, thanks fro the feedback guys! @ Rusty, yeah, the Starliner kid has some great detail, wish I had bought several more last time they were around. I plan on picking up some more at my next contest I attend if I can find them. @ Larry This one will be bright red as well! Baby Moons on Chrome wheels, black interior. Got the paint to finish out this week and the rest of the foil I did put on before paint. @ Plowboy, yeah, I am up in the air about the doglegs. I do not know that I am good enough but I am certainly no a quick enough builder to add that to the list of things to do before 11/03 which is my target date....well, 11/02 actually, have a local show on 11/03 :-) We shall see tho. @ Richard, thank you sir. I am trying. This one, like most all of my projects the last year, the paint seems to be fighting me. I already shot this one, started the buffing process, and a couple spots will need touched-up/shot again.
  9. (hope this does not post twice, my screen vanished as I was putting this up a few minutes ago) This build was inspired by a car in my hometown that I saw about 13 years ago, and I am just now getting around to it, DOH! I always like the body of the 64, but since the kit was a curbside, I will be borrowing the chassis and motor from the Starliner kit. (yeah, I know, not accurate for replica stock, but this is not a replica stock build, please forgive me purists ) I am not good about keeping a lot of pics going, so forgive me.. Hood cut away and ready for the lip to be installed http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/gallery_8985_1063_10510.jpg The tub style interior was chopped up, so the dash, console, and seats will be seperate, and the sides and rear seat will be one piece. (pic before final cuts) http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/med_gallery_8985_1063_8267.jpg The motor so far, I removed the molded fuel lines from the bottom up to the carb and replaced with wire. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/gallery_8985_1063_458715.jpghttp://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/gallery_8985_1063_280382.jpghttp://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/gallery_8985_1063_832148.jpg The chassis will show some weathering, as this car will be one that is driven, not a show car. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/med_gallery_8985_1063_336303.jpg http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/med_gallery_8985_1063_167551.jpg
  10. Nice supply of natural light
  11. either use pastel powders, or better yet pigments like those from Vallejo.
  12. Thanks! The rusty one will end up in a diorama I have be working on and off for years, but not sure what if anything will ever happen with the red one.
  13. A friend of mine recently suggested I try this, and I put it off for a long time. Finally, in a parts swap, he sent me the fenders with the "assignment", so I meshed it with a "what if Edsel did a tractor" thought. I may have even shown these elsewhere on the forum earlier this summer when I made them. Since I had two ends, I just made two types.
  14. Very nice design work on the bag job. What are you using for the bags? I bought a bunch of various sizes of tiny rubber O rings.
  15. Nice to watch you work through the process. I have several projects going, but I am bad about taking pictures and posting updates. I need a better camera to keep me motivated on that, but it sure does make the process of watching over someone elses shoulder much more enjoyable.
  16. I have a sheet of this as well, but I have no idea where I got it as I have had this sheet for years.
  17. Always wanted one of those, but the cost for for such a simple looking device just kept it out of reach in my mind. The only downside to doing mirrors with that method, is that you would of course have to be making a round mirror. Any other style and you are faced with the same question as to how to make them the most realistic looking.
  18. Glad to see more updates on this one! Those louvers were used a lot here in the states in the late 70s through the mid 80s as well. I and my brother had them on Chevy Monzas, heck the kits for the Monzas even included them! LOL Your work looks really impressive. Looking forward already to the next update and at some point the finished project.
  19. you can do a combo of the above. If you find the right size photo etch piece, or plastic cut to size, then cover with BMF before install.
  20. They do not "let them" roll. Keep in mind, this seller has to pay listing fees. Ebay earns money each time this seller lists them.
  21. very sharp.I must admit that you made that kit look much much better than I thought it would.
  22. Glad to see that updates on this one.
  23. Very cool, all is missing is a little more dirt and dust, then it is ready for the 1/4 mile roundy round.
  24. looking good so far sir.
  25. Oh yes, I can make room in the garage for one of those. by all means!
