A parts box compilation for a Yahoo group I belong to. Not sure how much wire and line detailing this one will get, as I am trying to have it done by the first of Feb....LOL, Yeah, right. More logos etc to come, it will be Sam N Ella's Organic Produce. Anyone on here capable of printing decent decals from a file? 29 Ford body Revell Grill I made from fenders a few months back frame is I think from an old 32 Ford kit Here is where I am so far..

Very cool bench, that should make you feel inspired each time you sit down.

I am glad to see the Olds did not fall into full Munson..

really nice!

those turned out great!

Well, I keep them until I see them CLEAR my account for the right amount. IE: Make sure the restaurant did not ADD an extra $5 to the tip, or the fuel pump did not make an error and also charge me for the gas for the next person or two etc. etc.

Very cool! It is nice to see that come to life in scale.

2014 Moebius Kit Announcements
Modelbuilder Mark replied to Art Anderson's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
What I find kinda odd, is that in the current issue of Modelcars has the Ihobby info, and Moebius lists that Comet and Ventura kit are both listed as having spring releases, but we have not heard nearly as much about them here on the forums. Did they just fall into place more than the truck, not need as much work, what? Any thoughts? -
Very creative stuff you build there Ira. Always fun to watch. I missed some of these, so I am glad you posted them all again.

Looks like you are heading in the right direction to me.

Nice detail work, looks like it would certainly be agressive.

That looks great, awesome detail. The only suggestion I would have would be to put on something that would cause a reaction to the metal causing it to actually rust a little. There used to be something in the train section of the hobby shop, weatherall made it I think. Thanks for the back story as well.

Sorry for the dealy in resopnse, I was out of town. A badger is a great brush, you can get parts for it easliy if needed etc. Use the Hobby Lobby coupon at either Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Maybe you could get the brush one weekend, and the compressor another. You are right, not all auctions list the brush size, you can just click the "ask a question" link to be sure.

Looks great!

In addition to the above listed suggestions, if you have clear sheet on hand, you can also use Tamiya colored clears, like their blue, red etc etc, and just airbrush on light from the backside. Also,k at Hobby Lobby in their diorama/train/art supply aisle (two aisle over from the models) they have individual sheets of a few colors as well.

exhaust help please
Modelbuilder Mark replied to Vdub4air88's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I use all kinds of stuff, aluminum tube, kit parts cut up and reused, aluminum rod, plastic rod, just depends on the project. -
Thanks again everyone. It was fun. If I had more time, I would also do some more detail, like brake lines etc, but Dad will not care. I have it all packed up and ready to take on the plane this week.

OK, like anything else, you can spend a ton, or a little, and a whole lot of in between. The most expensive is not always necessary. First off, of those that you have listed, the second and the next to last are the same brush with different compressors. I would personally avoid the second listing style of compressor because they tend to pulse despite them saying they do not.(some folks actually use asthma nebulizer as compressors. The last time I replaced my compressor I was also on a budget, and I actually bought the next to last set up you list above, and I have had no issues at all with the compressor and I have had it about a year and a half now. The brush is basic, but does a decent job., Once you get used to using it, you can always upgrade later. Just note the size, .1 is smaller needle for finer lines, .3 larger for coverage etc. Again, they are not perfect, but they function decent. Here are a couple projects I Have used the same brush and compressor on.

Thanks, the tie rod and front wheel backs are just parts box detail I added to the back of the Pegasus wheels. They are far from correct, but look better to my eye than having nothing there at all. I think they are from a 56 Chevy kit to be honest. The fender skirts are kit pieces that I think are the same as those in the 40 Ford panel truck, the same one that is at Hobby Lobby right now as the Three Stooges kit.
