  1. Is it possibly to house sensors? I know they are in multiple points on many cars.
  2. This past weekend, I finished up the Monogram Blue Bandito from the (2014?) reissue. One thing I did not notice when I first bought it when new until I started the project was that the front right fender was short shot, so I filled it in with melted sprue from the same kit, no filler, only primer was used. Paint is from an old bottle of Pactra Boyd Chezoom Blue, with 2K clear, unpolished. This was originally intended to be a box stock build, but the kit glass was too small for the frame, so I had to cut acetate to make the replacement glass. Still is a box top build tho. 🙂 If you like, you can click the link below and see the album which includes some in build up pictures. https://public.fotki.com/machman/models/builds-2023/blue-bandito-box-stock/img-0897.html
  3. Ouch, bummer but looks like a redo in your future
  4. Thanks for sharing your story, welcome! There is a lot of great information here, and great people.
  5. Made me smile right away, very nice to see these versions and it looks like you had a great time.
  6. Always enjoy seeing these being built
  7. Thank you, greatly appreciate the additional information
  8. Another great issue with a good variety of subject matter.
  9. Thank you. Based on youu comment above, it sounds like you are NOT buying the kit, or their basecoat, just the 6oz of Chromem correct?
  10. Making the most of the situation I would say. Looking really good
  11. Just watched this Barbatos Rex review. In this review he clears, and it turns more aluminum looking, but it does good with Tamiya color clears to look like Candy, and he also shows it pulls off easy. One thing not mentioned above, or in this video, is durability over time. From what I have seen so far, there are other more viable options. This review was just posted just hours ago today.
  12. Glad you captured some photos Mike, I got busy yapping with folks and missed my chance.
  13. I have a few of the re-pop in my stash, because like like the chassis/running gear for other projects. Here it is in a C-cab. I did use the motor in this one, as it was not a replica, and the undersized motor was not obvious in this use. I have also used the motor in a 1/32 scale hot rod and while not true to scale their either, it does not look bad
  14. Looks like this website is taking pre-order for $21. https://fusionscalehobbies.com/ It looks great sprayed on from what I have seen, here is a short Youtube.. IF it is durable, I am in.
  15. I really dig what you have done with this one. Nice model
  16. Wow, this looks very similar, but MUCH less expensive, than the Mirror Chrome that I have heard so much about. Theirs is only 15ml (below) is $40. What I am mostly curious about, is how much handling a piece can take after having been painted with the AK, so hopefully you can keep us updated on your experience.
  17. I just finished this one up very early yesterday morning(OK, really late Friday night, like 1:30am) I was inspired by a cool looking hot wheel with similar paint scheme. Built to replicate what someone would build up in their garage, not a modern day pro-touring or anything like that. Swapped out the kit inline 6 for the V8 from the AMT '68 Olds Cutlas with some other mods. If interested, here is a link to the Fotki page that will have a few build up pics. https://public.fotki.com/machman/in_progress_model_cars/60-chevy-pickup/#media
