  1. Thanks. First set I have ever made. Really!
  2. Unreal john! Every step closer to finishing is just more eye candy! And it means you will start the bike project soon correct?
  3. Agreed. All my stuff is all spray cans
  4. Nice work
  5. That's great it's gonna fit. I freaked out when I missed the fan shroud! All good now. Could you flip the air cleaner upside down and look at the mounting posts. Mine were fatter then near where the mount they were stepped smaller in diameter. I trimmed all that off plus some. Then that led to a nice smooth notch on the underside to clear the distributor/ plug wires. I will take pics of what I had to do when I get home tonight
  6. Thanks guys. I had a problem with my shaker setup. It was way too high. I trimmed what looked like excess cast on the air cleaner posts for the carbs and lightly sanded the hood sealing gasket. Got it now but wondering if anyone else noticed this. The engine etc is all in the correct location btw
  7. I use foil to mask trim like this. Or get the blue painters tape from wal mart etc. I usually trim one edge with an exact o knife and ruler to clean up the "fuzzies" with the factory edge
  8. Yeah but it's over 4400 lbs too. Not too worried about them vs my Shelby it's 3800 ready to rock. The auto trans ones will be tricky. I like em
  9. That's a good idea. I left my oil pan off yet as well which helped free up some space. I made a dipstick on mine but not much room to route it. Came out ok. I cut the bottom of my shroud, pulled top hose and I got it in there then put the bottom piece back in. Little touch up paint and you will never see it with front suspension in place
  10. That may almost look better spoiler delete. But that's just me
  11. That is just beautiful!! I hope the engine will go in for you. I forgot my fan shroud and it was a pain to get in there! Lower rad hose needs a small adjustment too. It hits the webbing above the oil filter. I trimmed the webbing and re painted that area
  12. I guess Harry it depends on how far you will take the car. In my opinion you at least need the cervini duck tail spoiler for the back to tie it in
  13. I had terrible luck with Tamiya cans for a long time but now my last 2 builds I must have figured it out. My mach I used orange and it's thin and shrinks BUT after a few days I applied one more coat and it came out perfect with no clear. Quick polish and it was a winner. My cuda I used the met blue and covered with testors wet look. Quick polish and I think I may have another great model. The key is a little heat in the can and some practice
  14. Harry, I have seen the conversion first hand and here are my thoughts. Nice product. BUT, if your car is stock or near stock then skip it. In my opinion on a stockish car these look out of place. Look at the raxiom gen 2 lights that look like the 13/14 lights but are for 05-09. I am thinking about those on my 40th and I love it just how shelby did the car when it was there so that should say something.
  15. Out here in the west I had a couple beers, worked on my cuda and now watched some fireworks.
  16. Another badass build Stan! Love it
  17. Looks good. Love panther pink er moulin rouge
  18. So after my lacrosse tournament trip with my son I got a little bench time today ( it's canada day ). I had the interior in before I left thursday. Today I got the engine and steering box in as well as the rad and hoses. Had a small hiccup as I noticed I left the shroud off AFTER I had the chassis all secured! I got it in thankfully but some cutting and patching is happening. So I thought I would take it outside for a couple pics. Comments welcome
  19. I sea what you did there...
  20. Nice work. I have one that I took 4mm out below the belt line and filled all the wood sections. Added 37 ford fender tops and headlight buckets. Changed the look quite a bit
  21. I may have to do something. I made top 10 one year
  22. Figures. Gm seems to like holes! They are in a pretty deep one again...
  23. Wow thanks everyone. I just wish I lived in an area with more shows and contests my stuff gets built then put away so it stays clean
  24. Looks good. I would build all your jambs before any more primer
