I love that car! Did you have pics of it on four eyed pride? I'm sure I have seen it before.

I like it. I would not have done the console lid though. I have the door cups and radio/shifter trim in my pacific green 97 done body color. And since the interior is tan I did the gauge bezel in tan to pull it in like the pass air bag cover. Still looks great after all these years

What direction is that? It looks good to me

Just nuts John. Just nuts -
That looks mean. Could you show some better pics of what you did in the rear wheels?

I have several 4 valves and know how to make them work : ). The irs will break at stock power levels on drag radials. The best ones were 03-4. Bigger axles etc

I have used tint on a few projects. I will share this though. The back window on this car is a bear to tint on the 1:1 and looks to be tough on the kit too -

The 71 has 70 fenders though. No gills in them. I was under the impression the 71 car was the 70 car with a grille change. Many teams did that stuff to make the car look like the new model yr car without the hassle of shaking the bugs out of a new race car every yr. -

The engine bay in the Jo Han kit is actually more accurate than you think. The real cars got a custom engine bay treatment that was very smooth. So did the Motown middle challenger and there could be others. I used the chassis and engine bay from the amt Yankee challenge challenger kit on my Jo Han cuda then realized the engine bay is not actually accurate so then I started smoothing it out. I got the whole model mocked up then it stalled. I will dig it out for pics -

Yeah, all this complaining lately... It honestly took me 20 mins to fix the wheel arches on my cuda build. I remember when kits WERE terrible. Collect die cast models if you don't want to do a little work to make a kit your own -
No svo for me but have or have had just about every other mustang. T bird turbo coupe was as close as I got to an svo. I was going to add the a black gas tank is also ok as there is actually a plastic cover over the tank from about 83-04. I agree that what you have done will look fantastic. You can pm me anytime if you need reference info or anything like that. Mustangs are not just a car to me, they are a lifestyle... Lol

Looks good. I can help with the chassis but you won't like it. Lol. The primer should be darker grey, the overspray is good. The car is a unibody do the front and rear "subframes" are also chassis color with the overspray. The fuel tank is ok in steel but that molded splash guard on the front side should be black as well as the straps The front end the lower a arms should be black but the k member should be primer / overspray. The trans crossmember should be black as it bolts in ( have also seen raw steel on some) rear end should be steel over coated with black on the pumpkin and over sprayed on the tubes. Upper and lower rear control arms were usually steel. The rear wheel wells should be sprayed black sloppily. Hope this helps.

It's because from 79-04 the mustang used that same chassis with minor changes

Looks good. The shielded plug wires (braided) were on cars with radios. You could go radio delete now if you took it out of the dash...

'71 Hemi Cuda 'vert sells for $3.5M
freakshow12 replied to CJ1971's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just nuts. I friend of my dad's used to own the yellow/ tan 70 that legendary restored. He bought it in 76 for 600 bucks with a broken trans. He fixed it and sold it around 80 for 2500. Makes him sick to see it's traded hands in the millions a few times lol -
That is awesome!
