  1. We all have to start somewhere. It can also be a curse lol. I sometimes envy the guys that buy 1 kit, build it and start again. Makes you stick with projects lol
  2. Good start. I am a big fan of the GS and bigger fan of the GSX.
  3. That is just sweet! What are you going to run with it class wise?
  4. Actually the arias is also a fully aftermarket 392 hemi. It shares architecture and I think about 418 cubic inches are the limit. A couple pulling guys I know up here swear by them but parts are getting a bit tough to find
  5. I was looking at this today as well but noticed a far worse problem. The distributor only has 6 leads and a coil lead....... Thought only the new cuda had this type of issue...( runs and hides) lol
  6. Yes. The tunnel port was a train wreck. The boss 302 was ready to go so they went and helped elsewhere. That's why I find it cool someone wants to build a 68 trans am car. For the most part everyone wanted to forget that season lol
  7. Here you go. Tunnel port didn't look much different from the regular 289/302. To build yours just use the engine from the 65 r model and add a 2x4 barrel intake. 68 was an awful yr for fords racing efforts. That engine failed on a regular basis.
  8. What I would do then is grab a 65 r model. Take the wheels and tires The seat and the roll bar. Grab the side Exhaust too. Make straps for rear windows, remove the rear seat. For an engine you will want a small block ford so you could use the 289 out of the 65. The k code was gone after 67 and by 68 mid yr the 302 was the stock engine. But for this build they look similar and in 68 ford was playing with the 302 tunnel port. I will find a pic of the tunnel port engine for you. They didn't live long lol. But paved the way for the boss 302 for 69
  9. You are some kind of robot!!! Lol. He made these heat shields so so did I! Take me a month to make that one part that you likely just looked at the plastic and it took that form in 7 seconds lol All kidding aside, you are a true craftsman John
  10. Yup it has blow masters and the wheels work well on other projects. I have never built one but have cut several up.
  11. Well said and I agree 100%
  12. I used that in my 50 ford truck. Neat engine. What is this 2010 mustang gt engine you speak of. No factory blown 4.6 since 04 and it was a 4 valve. The gt engine was a 3 valve from 05-10. Sure it's not the Shelby 5.4 dohc you have? I know in 1:1 that the 13/14 5.8 dohc is a beast and it scares me when the traction control kicks on on the 3-4 power shift lol. Would move a t bolt quite nicely. I better go for a drive
  13. Start with the 65 gt350 r model as that's what that that car is a replica of. Not a 68 at all
  14. A lot of the rm 69 nose issue is assembly. If you take the time to fit the grille properly it's not as bad.
  15. The one main contest I attend every yr is very simple. 2 divisions. Jr and sr In those there are Box stock ( foil is only add on allowed other than paint) Detailer ( anything goes) Factory stock (box and detailer) Open ( customs, rods, race cars etc Light commercial Heavy commercial Then they have best of show for each division. And sponsor choice awards. I have had great luck at this contest for the last several years My twister mach took best of show sr detailer factory stock. Tough class
  16. I have not done much yet. Just fitting and drilling mainly. I figured I would not get too excited until you had the paint dialed in ( which looks fantastic) I will spill that I am bringing the laser stripe onto the engine in a cool way..... I got sidetracked on a 70 cuda. Lol. Back on it this week. The side stripe will be the white to blue correct? I remember I lost the battle to get yellow to red. Lol
  17. I have 4 of the first issue and just ordered 4 of these. Now that I see some forging ahead and building them up I must say some of the issues that are glaringly wrong on a bare white body seem to fade away a bit once there is paint, trim and all the other stuff added to it. The whole pkg does not look as bad to me as a pile of raw parts
  18. I built this a while ago. It started as a color test on a body and went from there lol.
  19. Coming along nice. You were asking about colors before. Here is my orange one. I converted this one to a vortech blown big block long before the big block version came out ( my luck). It's a Nissan orange
  20. Now that is looking hot!! How did you make the silver chute line hanging down?
  21. Yup the RM 69 z28 kits have a really nice small block. As does the nova
  22. I watched this all the way through. Great model. Only thing I would change if it were mine is the blue plug wires. Black ones and it would look perfectly stock
  23. In all honesty, if you were willing to put out the cash to get all of the specific interior parts then the 15-20k for the paint job it would be cheaper to just buy one lol It works out to about 1k per panel of car. I know a guy who just did his 07 gt500 in mystichrome. Looks killer but cost a ton. Seats bring 3-4k a set, steering wheel another grand. Did you ever see the mystic gold cobra they prototyped for 01? I have pics of it. Insane color. Wish they would have done it
  24. Wat u meen bro? Da webs is da shizzle.... Lol yup the internet is making people dumber and more lazy by the minute and will be the downfall of civilization! That's just how I see it anyway.
