  1. This is my only finished project for 2012. At the rate i'm buiding I will have to live to be 166 years old. Maybe I need to pick up the pace a bit.
  2. Love the Impala. I'd be thrilled to be able to have three done in a year, let alone three that well done.
  3. Sean, love the Monaco. What did you use to build this? I had one of these in 1:1, and have been looking for one for a long time.
  4. nice dio. If you want to see what the Woodland scenics snow looks like check out Chevy in the snow, its at the bottom of page one. They also have a video demo of how to use the stuff on their website. So, what did you use? As Charlie put it, it does make the snow look heavyand wet.
  5. I've always wanted to do a store front dio, between this and Ken's now i'm inspired. Need to get back to the bench, been away several months working on the house.
  6. This would make a really cool project...just wish I had a kit to do it.
  7. This is truly heartbreaking. I have a 5 year old grandson in kindergarten here in Iowa. I can't possibly imagine how it would feel if something like this happened to him. It would totally devistate our family. My prayers are with those affected, I only wish it never happened.
  8. See you in February, Dave.
  9. OH MY GOD! THE SKY IS FALLING!!!
  10. A holiday!? Man I'm callin' in tommorrow......woo-hoo!!
  11. Dean I feel your pain, literally. It may have slowed me down, but it will not stop me. I certainly hope that you can at least Make it to the workbench even if its only its a little now and then. And like Chuck said, some days are better than others.
  12. Can he pull a plow with that thing?
  13. I can remember riding in my Grandmothers "64 Chevy Impala convertable ss. It had a 4 speed and bucket seats, Grandma's ride was so cool.
  14. no big loss, never really cared for the show, too many egos.
  15. 1/87th scale can be difficult, but also very fun and rewarding. And a real change of pace. I love them. Yours turned out very nice, very well done.
  16. I tried snow on a diorama and weathering powders for the first time, had a lot of fun with both. Also learned I'll never pick up a Best of Show with Bill Davis at the show.(lol) Cranky, if you figure out the polishing with a dremel, let us know, I could use that one.
  17. And they say honesty doesn't pay.
  18. Magazine would be nice. I've won several awards, after a while they just collect dust. What really means something to me is when someone comes up to me at a show and compliments my work, or asks how I did something, because they wanted to try it themselves. Thats the best compliment you can recieve when someone wants to emmulate your work.
  19. Seems to be missing something... can't quite put my finger on it...hmmm
  20. Very nice! Good clean build.
  21. Living in Iowa don't look so bad at times like these.
  22. I have also built several of these, including the roadster version of the 32 ford. They are a great change of pace, and cheaper.
