  1. Great looking paint and like the stake bed.
  2. Our Lab, may he RIP, used to set near the table when we ate and would drool a puddle on the floor watching us. He wouldn't touch his food until we were finished even though we would feed him first. He would hold out for any grease or juices left over from the preparation of our dinner that my wife would dribble over his dried whatever they called his dog food.
  3. I'll bet they could sell a lot of kits of just the bed.
  4. I would be interested in following your build of this '68 Chevrolet kit. This is either a Biscayne or a Bel Air two door post car rather than an Impala. The reason is I ordered a new '68 Bel Air two door big block car and would like to build a model of that car.
  5. Great looking build. Remember renting one like this in the late sixties and took my wife and our two then very young sons on a two week tour up the west coast and back.
  6. Beautiful paint finish and color. Like how you used the kits custom grill and rear fenders. Great looking bed wood and engine detailing.

    72 Nova

Great looking beater. Wonder if they could use that in the next Eddy Murphy movie?
  8. Beautiful paint finish and like the conservative color. The body trim is all cleanly done. Like the engine detailing and the wheels.
  9. I agree with everyone else on the body work. The body mods have sort of a Bugatti vibe with the spine running lengthwise over the top. Amazing metalflake paint and color.
  10. Are there any headers for say a big block Chevrolet in another kit that would work. They have very similar spacing and may be manipulated if needed.
  11. There was a time when some gassers would be of the show & go variety and such an interior would look great with a little angel hair and bright lights.
  12. Something came to mind reading the letter from the District Attorney. I think what he may be asking of you, or will ask of you, is your feelings about the accident and how you were treated and reimburse for any loses. This is something that is done when the person found responsible for damages and other violations is going to court to be prosecuted. What the DA will do is get a feel for the victim's feelings and how you and the others feel Mr. Guaman should be punished if found guilty in a court of law. Ya the DA will often use your, and others comments to decide what to ask of the Judge.
  13. Great looking reproduction of a famous drag racer. Your paint finishes may be a little better looking than the real Farm Truck, but the attention to details and missing side trim looks good, even has the dent in the driver's rear bedside. Creating the camper shell had to be a challenge as well.
  14. Beautiful color and finish. Like the gasser stance. Bright contrasting interior, fitting for such a vehicle.
  15. Beautiful looking paint work and colors and many major body modifications. You didn't mention the windshield, but it and the side vent window have been changed. Opening the tailgate and making it fold under the bed looks great. Knowing the basic chassis and engine in this kit your changes really standout.

  17. I like the realistic looking body finish and remember seeing many old trucks in this condition still in service. There is something enjoyable about building a model of past vehicles that you have owned and the fond memories that often come to you when building them.
  18. I have one that has been used as a flowerpot in the past. The flower would grow out of the neck.
  19. I appreciate your understanding in this situation and also glad no one was injured luckily. I also had much the same situation many years ago while stopped waiting for someone to make an illegal left turn and got rear ended. The lady was driving her husband's company car since he was too drunk to drive at the time, although she was sighted for being drunk as well. Each situation is unique, and the individuals involved have to make their own decisions as to what should or shouldn't be done. The only thing I might add, and this is up to you alone. The extensive damage, while your truck was repaired, will show up on a Carfax if you should ever want to sell it and would be a consideration as to its value based on that damage. That may or may not make any difference to you but something to consider.
  20. I've seen the Fred & Wilma figures before and like the trashy look.
  21. Like the patina finish on the body and chassis. Great detail on the stock style Flathead.
  22. I sort of liked the roll pan look, but in reality, bumpers could save some body work in the real world. Tucking the bumpers in close to the body will look good as well. Do what you think looks best.
  23. Enjoy watching the high level of detail and imagination you're putting in this build.
  24. Put a Ford Cammer engine in it to beat their Hemi Plymouth.
  25. Had to run an errand this morning when I saw a car parked on the side of the HI way going in the other direction. At 60 + mph I thought better about trying to fumble with my cell phone to take a picture. Just sort of a nondescript 4 door import except that most of the body work in front of the windshield was seriously damaged. The local deer population seems to be spending a lot of their nocturnal hours chasing each other about and it looks like they got another car last night.
