If you have that Revell Bel Air two door kit I think that would be a great source for both the wheels and tires but also the Grill/front Bumper combination would be a better looking setup compared to the Revell Nomad kits. Another source of parts if you have an old or reissued AMT '57 Chevrolet Hardtop kit.

On the Wheels, you mentioned Bullets and I'm not sure if that is a single big bullet. A style years ago was called a "Spider" that had a chrome cover over the Lug Nuts and the center had a small bullet. To give you an idea of what I'm thinking, the mounting was held in place by the Lug Nuts. The chrome cover had small almost unseen screws that attached the chrome cover to the mounting bracket. These first started appearing in the '50's about the time that Chrome Wheels were becoming common. These would hide the Lug Nuts that usually weren't so pretty.

I like the concept. Great job on the Roll Cage. I agree you should ad a Baby Seat if you can find a realistic looking one.

Another great looking build. You really move fast on a build. As others have mentioned, I think we all wish the best for your father. I wouldn't change the colors at this point , but when the Edsel first came out they had some interesting 3 color combinations. All of the cars I remember at that time with the Continental Kits as they were called always sat lower in the rear. I think the 1:1's just used stock springs and that was a lot of weight hanging off the rear. You mentioned engine decals and I wonder if this kit has the raised lettering on the valve covers. The lettering would usually start with an "E" and then a number relating to the engine size. I think with a steady had you might be able to hand paint that.

I really like how your build looks. I think you were right to leave the side trim in place as it breaks up the broad flat quarter panel. I like the modifications on the rear deck lid, but wonder about the large hole for the trunk key.

A couple of items I noticed on your engine build. First off you have a great looking engine build going. The hose you have on the driver's side Valve Cover should be part of the Smog System and would be the PCV Valve that would attach at the base of the Carburetor. The other problem is that the Valve Cover as you have it now is upside down and the relief in the Valve Cover is to the rear and is to clear the Power Brake Boaster on the 1:1 Engine. Another way to know for sure that the Valve Covers are mounted properly on a Chevrolet Big Block is to remember that they used 3 attachments on the top side and 4 attachments on the bottom of the Valve Covers. The hose on the passenger side would be attached to the Air Cleaner. If you are using a closed Air Cleaner it would attach to the passenger side of the Air Cleaner. If you're using an open element Air Cleaner the hose would attach on the bottom plate of the Air Cleaner. If you just flipped the Valve Cover around and some minor rerouting of the hoses it would look perfect. Like you I'm a very big fan of the first generation Camaro and have owned a few, so I look forward to watching your builds here.

Plastic Spoons for testing paint?

That explains why my "Stash" is always a mess. -
Very nice clean looking build. I like the Corvette style 15X8 Rally Wheels on this.

On the Wheel and Tires if you're trying to stay somewhat close to the OEM 14 inch wheels you might look at one of the current Revell '57 Chevrolet kits that also offer white wall tires. Any hub caps you might use would cover the incorrect 6 lug wheels in these kits. The Revell '56 Chevy kits would work also. I think that the tires are the same diameter as the '57 models but they are supposed to represent a 15 inch wheel as that is what was used in '56 Chevrolet. .

I cannot get accustomed too people who begin every sentence with the word "Basically" or "Like" ,

Very sleek looking build. I like the engine mods.

Beautiful looking build. I like how you detailed the engine and interior, they just look real.

Both the Sting Ray and the El Camino are very special looking for sure. What was the source of the Trailer ?
-
Great looking Showroom Buick. I'd keep it in the garage until spring that Slush will ruin the finish on this.

A great concept and I like the Gull Wing Doors idea.
-
Great looking combination. The F100 is really nicely done as is the Trailer. I like how you did the Cobra.

These should make interesting builds. I understand from others who have combined the AMT and Revell kits that many of the parts almost interchange.

I like your build style on this. As you are minding out the Moebius kits are kind of special and they offer some unusual subjects also.

Looking good so far. The one I built some time ago with the 2-4 Carb. inline setup out of the AMT Chrysler 300 and used the Chrysler stock Air Cleaners to clear the Hood.
-
I like the Top Chop you did. After slicing and dicing the roof into so many pieces you just brought it back together like that is the way it should have been all along.
-
Another great idea here. I'm guessing that there isn't much of a chance of a "stock" body ever coming off your work bench. I mean that in a very good way.

You have two nice looking builds going.

I never built that model, I sold the one I had, but always thought it was a great concept.

I have been a life long NASCAR fan, but with the changes to the rules and the reformatting of the race it's self I'm quickly loosing interest in the whole "Dog and Pony Show". When they started breaking the race into segments I started to wonder just what NASCR was thinking. Either you're racing for 500 miles or you're having a couple of "Heat Races" which is it ?? The Race Cars themselves have become in unrelatable to me. You have a Ford in a 2door configuration of a model that is sold as a 4door only. The Race Car is rear wheel drive with a V-8 and the street car is a 4 or 6 Cylinder front wheel drive. At least Chevrolet is now using something somewhat closer to what you can buy of the show room but in the past they were using the same formula as Ford. This may tick off some here but just don't get me started on the Toyotas. The original concept of NASCAR was to race STOCK CARS based on what you and I could purchase from a Dealer, but thru the years they have lost their way in my mind. The way it is now its just formula racing and nothing more. I watched the 500 because I always do. The thing that struck me was the new rules allowing the spoilers to be down out of the air stream. This was originally a safety feature giving the cars more down force. This improved the drivers ability to control the race car. Now with little or no down force these cars are a hand full at best. The problems that have always been present with one car around another on the race track has been "taking the air" of the spoiler causing the car to become unstable and often spinning out the front car. This problem happened all day in the 500? and was usually the cause of on track crashes besides the normal aggressive driving. I would like to see NASCAR return to it's routes or some other Sanctioning Body come up with something truly closer to a Stock Car.
