  1. Good idea on the right hand steering, sinse thats the way it is down under. Great job on the center consol design.
  2. Realy like the pair of Olds. You should think about doing a resin body of the wagon for those of us with less talnet than yourself. Very well done.
  3. I have profited in a way I think many of you have. . When I've had a bad day , or week, You can lose your self and your problems and focus on something that you truly enjoy. Life is good at the plastic alter of modeling.
  4. My stash , often refered to as my wife's widows pension, is such that I will not live long enough to build them all.
  5. I have to vote with Ron. I used to love this program, just wish they showed more details of their work and the good sponsers that supplied all the goodies. I am now going to EBay to find some old piece of you know what and have my wife concoct a sob story about me and what ever I find. We can only hope.
  6. Very nice section job on the body. The widened fenders and running boards look great. I personally like the '32 grill shell, but the "track" nose gives it a different look.
  7. Lots and lots of Ivory dish soap. This has worked for myself so far. Be very carfull of cleaning products. If you can contact the maker of the body they may be able to give you some other ideas .

    Dodge Charger

Rob made a very good point on the wheels. I know that the black wheels are the latest trend right now, but I do not think that they accent the rest of the car. The Bee stripes or maybe even the old rear bumble bee stripes in a color that match the wheel color. But it does look good as is.
  9. Looks great. I've allways liked the '56 the best of all the tri fives.
  10. Very clean build. Outstanding paint. You foil better one handed than I do with both hands.
  11. I have allways liked the Plum Crazy '69 Road Runners , and I know that Dodge had the same thing with another name. White interior might be a good idea in that at that time most of these cars had black interiors. Even in scale that starts to make the model look very dark. I think like Bill said, do what you like and can afford at this time. The lighter colored wheels or mags might help make the model standout more. Please post pictures and good luck with your build.
  12. That's a good Ford kit. I like the color, what is it ?
  13. Looks great. You just do not see enough of these as showroom stock. Very nice detail.
  14. Ford had a lot of good looking cars for many years. Like you I think the forty was the best.
  15. As everyone has said, this is a very nice model. As you said it was a stiif learning curve for yourself. I could only hope to do as well if I tried to do a military model.
  16. That is truley amazing. Makes you wonder just how long this person must of spent putting all this together.
  17. Hard to imagine what all these steam shovels could in their day. You're right about the durability of these old machines. The dump truck looks like it might be a Model A from the looks of the radiator.

    Meyers "Manx"

Turned out great. This is closer to how most of these looked when some guy at home had an old VW and a basic tool box to work with. Very nice.
  19. That came out great. Is the boats engine visable under the rear deck ? Like this a lot.
  20. I had the same problem on a resin body. You might want to stay away from the Purple Power also. I turned a '56 Bel Air coupe to mush. You may have to practice your sanding skills unless some knows of a better product. I wish you luck .
  21. Lots of good ideas here. I'm not much on vinyl roofs, but I did a '50 Ford Crestliner a couple years ago. I used Rust-Oleum Textured indoor/outdoor paint. It looked very real with a low sheen and a nice vinyl looking texture. I would apply it after everything else is done. You would never be able to get polishing compound off of it and masking tape will not stick. I used black but they had other colors on the shelf at the time. Good old " Wally World ".
  22. I just picked up several nice decal sheets from Gofer Racing. Got them at a local model shop. They may have a web site, but i'm not sure.
  23. Great looking build. As I recall the OEM Avanti"s had a Paxton super charger that blew thru the carb. You're reference photos look like some type of fuel injection setup.

    350Z Art Car

The car " hates " the camera because of the great camo paint job. Would look best as the bad guys car in the next Bat Man movie.
  25. Great build. I like the interior, and then theres the HEMI.
