  1. Welcome Rob. If you have not already bought the 69 Camaro convertable yet, consider the Revell Z28 coupe. It has both grills, standard and RS. You can remove the top to make the convertable. I personaly like this model better than the AMT issue. Both are good models, but you may be able to save a little. The convertable boot ia avalible from several resin casters. Please post some pictures when you get going on this, I realy like these cars.
  2. Rob, Thats some good looking goodies. Thanks for the info.
  3. I'm guilty of useing this turm often in my posts. I use this term as a copliment too the builder's model. I think Richard Manson first said it best and Raoul's pictures illistrated what I think "clean" is. It would seem that many of us agree on this.
  4. Like it alot. If it were real it would scare all the woman and children. Looken good.
  5. Looks real good, very clean . You realy nailed the look of the Baldwin Moton super cars.
  6. These paint job are amazing
  7. There are many good ideas here, but I think the question was asking about paint. If this is still of intrest you might look for PRISMCOLOR. I have found this at Hobby Lobby in their art section and Office Depot.. It has a roller applicator like a writing pen. I have found med. and fine both. You will want to read the instructions and practice on some spare parts first, but it will look almost as good as foil. I have only used it for touchups and fine chrome trim, but it worked well for me. Hope this is of some help.
  8. Looks real nice. I remember that build on Overhauling.
  9. I like the "Woody" side trim.
  10. Real nice build. Very good detailing.
  11. I also like the Aussie cars. I drive an '05 GTO (Manero). Do you know if The Parts Box has a late model Ute? I thought I would trade for a new Pontiac Ute till GM lost its mind and killed Pontiac in stead of Buick.
  12. Very nice. Can't see the problem with the roof you talked about.

    Very clean build.
  19. I can see why you got first place. What did you use for your fuel lines?
  20. Wow !!
  21. Your hard work paid off with a clean looking custom. I'm waiting for the glue to dry from the grill install on this same model. The kit is a little "fiddly", the biggest challenge for me was the exhaust and the radiator support fitting. Yours turned out great.
  22. This is coming together great. Your ideas on the rear of the body is almost like a factory prototype. Keep it up.
  23. I like this a lot. Great detail on the chassis and engine. Have you desided on a color yet?
  24. Thankyou for sharing. Lots of nice rods.
  25. I've built a couple of '57 Fords. I had a one owner convertable in the early 60s and a two door post in the mid 60s for a second car. It was the same as the new Revell model with a 312 and 3 speed overdrive. In 1966 I got a new Impala SS, so the new Revell Impala was used on that build. In 1985 we got a new 1986 Monte Carlo SS. Again Revell had a very nice model I built several years ago. I have a Polar Lights model of my '05 GTO and model of our new '10 Charger RT. Starting on a 1951 Ford hot rod like the old days. Rustolume flat black was considered a finish coat and an old Army blanket for seat covers. The warmed over flat head with Evans heads and three 97s.
