I think we all love dogs , whats not to love. Every puppy wants to chew, its in their nature. Just get them some rawhide chew sticks at Petsmart and get a 55 gal. drum of bitter apple spray for everything in sight . Year or so later they will get over it.

This is the first time I remember seeing a restroom in a diorama. Very few come close to your level of detail on the garage, and the two restrooms just put it over the top.

Nice job, It looks like somthing George Barris would have built. I like how you worked in the 300 interior and engine.

That poster reminds me of my #1 son when he was 5 or 6. He also had a Big Wheel and would get going as fast as he could on the sidewalk and turn down the driveway toward the street. The side of the driveway was like a mini ramp where it would meet the curb. He used this to launch himself into the street. I don't think he every got that much "air" as this poster. I had to weld up the front forks about once a week.

Modelhaus has several grill and bumper combos for the 49 & 50 Fords. Plus many others. I have used their parts and bodies in the past. They are one of the best you will find.

Chris, The 62 Bel Air had only two roof styles for 2 doors. The post style like Jeff's model, and the hardtop which had the same roof as the 61 year models had. The Impala and Impala SS were the only body styles with a formal roof in 1962. If you wanted a make believe formal roof Bel Air you could use the Revell 62 Impala,fill one tail light, remove some trim and tone down the interior.

You put a lot of work into makeing this 2 door. Color realy shows well.

Very original idea, not the body style you would think of this style of build. Looking forward to see how this turns out.

I'm afraid I have some recollection of the 70's. The "rake" look was popular. The first 70 and later 60 series tires were comeing into the market from Good Year and Firestone. These required wider wheels. The 6" wide crome revers wheels that most of us had were too narrow. When you start to put 7" or wider revers wheels under 50 & 60s cars they start hitting wheel well opening and even steering componets on the front end when you turned. On the leaf spring cars you could raise the back with shackles and air shocks. On the front you could use spacers in the springs and over load shocks. When you tried to corner hard the rear tires would still sometimes rub on the fenders. We destroyed what little handling the factory put into these cars. It was like trying to run in high heels. I look forward to what your'e doing with this Firebird. They were one of the hottest cars of their day. It realy was a lot of fun as I recall.

What Art said! GM was under a microscope with Washington at the time. Thay sold a more cars in the US than Ford - Chrysler - American Motors.

I would also like to build some off-road vehicles. Years ago I lived near Pismo Beach Ca. I had a modified VW Type 1. It was called a BAJA style, somewhat like the ones used for desert raceing at the time. My wife has always liked Jeeps, and we got her a TJ Wrangler in '97. We got to go to several Jeep Jamborees in Colorado and realy injoyed it. In '08 we ordered her a new '09 TJ Wrangler and again used it at several Jeep Jamborees. This is her daily driver also. Sorry to bore you all about myself, but I put this out there so that everyone can see why I would realy like to see one or more of the model makers step up and make some off-road models of current models. While I personaly like some Jeeps, I think it would make valid buisness since to make GM, Ford, and Dodge off-roader also. I'll bet there are many people on this forum who have 4x4s in their driveways. Sorry to drag on, but I think that the model companys are leaving money on the table by not offering these kits.
