  1. No Matadors it was only about 300 Chargers mostly 69s and a few 68s, they were using models toward the end of the series
  2. always get a kick out of vanishing point when the Challenger becomes a Camaro
  3. nope don't remember that one, I do remember an early 280 Z on a cj chassis, a early 70s cad on something and a early 80 Camaro or Firebird on something
  4. this one just makes you wonder why ?? https://toledo.craigslist.org/bar/d/toledo-67-camaro-drop-top-4x4very-cool/7135731616.html
  5. Thanks Dan they do have some interesting stuff guess I'll have to decide what I'd really like to build, sorta told my wife a while ago a Rhoads would be my last guitar but just don't think I could do the neck and headstock justice cause really love the real Jackson neck, the Jem is also interesting but not really wanting to deal with another Floyd setup, a hardtail Jem could be cool
  6. the finish looks super, wondering if you started with one of those diy kits, or just a body and neck ?? been kinda thinking about building one and was thinking kit but sorta know I'd have to throw out most of the electrics and hardware cause its probably the cheapest stuff made correct ?? so maybe just a better quality body and neck to start with is the way to go but don't really want to get into installing frets, any ideas ??
  7. have a couple projects in mind and would buy any of them doesn't matter which year or issue so wish they would slap the Coke decals in the box and get it out
  8. i'll also mention that the 57 nomad was last issued in the Skip's era iirc
  9. wow that was fast, email is time stamped 5:39 pm and I posted when I read it
  10. I am in no way connected with this, just an email I received and figured someone might like it https://www.autoworldstore.com/product-p/awfreemodel.htm?mc_cid=4e2d838566&mc_eid=e3f3748320
  11. been on Ebay since 01 myself both buying and selling, haven't sold much the past couple years because it seems they wanted to push sellers into the store type format with automatic listing renewals and collecting taxes on the sellers behalf plus the fees were getting to be about 20 % of the total, I don't know if that's still the case or not and will look into it soon cause I have several lifetimes of kits and die cast to thin out the thing I just noticed is looking in automotive models and kits category, filtered by US only listings there's only approx. 8500 listings for auctions and buy it now listings are approx. 98,000, I didn't know there was that much imbalance
  12. wish somebody would do these in the correct 17in oem size
  13. yes its Lee 1 which is in the opening credits that jumps off the dirt pile at the college the wheels in the first 2 pics are just some old aluminum slots that were painted gold when they were touring the car around before the restoration, should be easier to find they was very popular maybe these would work http://www.fireballmodels.info/images/FMR-076.jpg tv episode car had a wide steel slot style wheel notice the thickness of the wheel lip and the slot openings, maybe some old dirt track kit
  14. yup Hart's https://hartspartsresin.com/product/mpc-79-80-dodge-pu-hood/
  15. yes MPC and Revell both did them in 1/25 scale most are pretty easy to find in the secondary market, Monogram did 1/24 Cobra and GT convert which I mention because its a source for the pony wheels
  16. Awesome thank you, been thinking about this a bit and thinking I might try and build a copy of my Berrien rail, I should try to build a couple cages for practice first
  17. looks great are you doing fish mouths or notching the tubes where they intersect with main tubes ?? if so what are you using ? what is your glue of choice ??
  18. just like a lot of Round 2 stuff, just reissue after reissue of worn out tooling or tooling of kits that never fit together very well in the first place
  19. Thanks for the pics I've been wanting to build a kit of a 1/1 that I owned in the 90s and this thread had me second guessing the raised part, that I remembered cause I've seen plenty of generic flat ones as well
  20. I just lost a mouth full of coffee LOL, I almost always watch that If I see it channel surfing
  21. nope square on the turbo goes to exhaust manifold or custom built header with a matching square, then from the turbo to the intercooler from the intercooler to the intake, the fresh air the fan blades you see on the front are usually open on race cars and have filters for street cars like the blue car in the pic, usually turbos are located wherever the space is available and the tubing is all custom built around their location maybe this will help
  22. very nice build, I saved on of those for years wanting to do the same till someone came along and wanted it more
  23. if you want the blow off valve on this car its right where the two pipes come together at the front of the intake, it blows off the extra boost if the engine doesn't need it or can use it
