  1. Beautiful Fleetline. I had to goof around a little to find the proper means to post images here, from fotki. Go to the fotki image you want to post, and, cursor on the image, right click>copy image url. That's the link that you want to post in the field you get when you click on "Image" here. Oh, and remember to hit enter twice after it accepts the image link. That will give you one blank line between images, or to separate your image from any text which follows.
  2. It comes with 10 tires so you can do the tandem dually conversion, Case! *cough*
  3. You guys sure picked a winner with this one, Dave. Can't wait to see the test shots. Now if someone would only kit up a Pilothouse Dodge.....
  4. Nice... I'm a little surprised we have no kit of the Zephyr.
  5. Fine lookin' truck, Mike. I won't tell anyone about the secret stash coolers behind the taillights. While you're right there, grab me a beer, eh! Oh wait...oops.
  6. You're welcome. Thanks for the garage pics. That's pretty cool. And yep, the camper is a later design than the pickup, but hey this is America, where redneckineering abounds. Anything is possible with a little duct tape and a bfh.
  7. Nice chebs. I'm sitting here trying to button up my '41 right now. Hard to tell from the angles of your pics, but did you have an issue with the peak of the hood not lining up well with the top of the grill? My grill is...protruding awkwardly.
  8. Very nice truck. Quick question - which wheels and tires are those? I thought I knew at first, but the hub detail on the front is throwing me off.
  9. I think I would trim off the bottom of the sides, right at the bottom of the last full "rib" and fill in the remains of the cutout for the wheel. Then I'd replace the area with a new piece and re-cut for the wheel. If you wanted to go all out, you could use strip stock and match the ribbing, but I don't feel it'd be necessary. The front and rear could just be caps to tie the sides together. This would allow you to position the camper body forward and close up the cab/camper gap, take care of the height issue, and let you get your rear wheel looking right in the wheelwell. Just food for thought. Should be an interesting piece when you're done. Btw, any broader shots of your building in the first pic? That looks interesting as well.
  10. Fantastic job.
  11. Toms bus is a work of art, no doubt about it. Completely first class. I'm not Randy but I'm pretty sure it is. Mine's not really a school bus, but it did start out as a S'cool Bus body.
  12. That's a beauty!
  13. The extra effort on the trim was well worth it. One of the nicest '62 Imps I've seen in some time.
  14. Sure don't see enough of these, and they're rarely this nice. Shame on AMT for irrevocably turning it into an abomination.
  15. Great lookin' 'Bird.
  16. That's killer.
  17. Only speaking for myself, of course, in this case I find the potentials involved in producing a functional end-product in one shot more intriguing than absolute scale fidelity. Now for the real question - Can they make it taste like chicken?
  18. Nice job on that transaxle. I'd typically shudder at the thought of one of these sans fenders, but you do have a tendency to make things I wouldn't normally like work...somehow. Sorry to hear about the transport. That thing was looking wicked.
  19. [in my best Spock voice and raised eyebrow] Fascinating...
  20. [looking for the right words...]
  21. I too thought I was looking at the work of Korkut until I got to the end. It just had that Korkut feel. 'Tis a very nicely done cab, Sait...very nice indeed.
  22. Nice work as always, Brad. That Daisy's kit makes for a great starting point once it's cleaned it up a bit. I cheated on the joints for my posable front drive axle and made them just fit together, held in place by the steering knuckle. But there was a reason for it...had to do them in a way they could be cast without too much fuss. A worthy concession but still a concession. These look great!
  23. Nice work, Johann. I'm curious...what was your trick to roll the brass tangs? I need to make a pair of these hinges before too long for a super-secret project (). I slotted the end of a piece of brass tubing for rolling the ends of aluminum strip, which works great...but I know brass would be too tough for it.
