  1. Another SHINY beauty! Looks slick!
  2. I like it. The yellow pinstripe sets it off nice. I do remember a color scheme like this on the 1:1's.
  3. Looks awesome! Love the color choice!
  4. Looks awesome! Love the body color steelies, dogs and redlines on it. Hard to believe there are any Mopar fans in Taylorsville. That's a small little chicken growin' town. I am from NY, and actually lived in Stringer, MS for a couple of years before moving to FL. Was too much of a culture shock for me. Those folks out there in Smith county are really into thier Chevrolets.
  5. Wow, those '80's builds are totally awesome. I don't have any. I did build some back then, but I've sold them off over the years in favor of the replica stock stuff and traditional hot rods. I do remember buying an extra JoHan X-EL reissue '56 Plymouth sedan, dechroming it, painted everything gloss black, plopped some fat tires under the back, and put some bright pink/green squiggly line decals on it. Talk about sick! I couldn't imagine doing that to one of those now!

    49 Mercury

Very, very nice! If I ever built a real one, I would do it just like this!
  7. Sweet! Love these period kustoms!!
  8. Here's mine. I built it back in the 80's. It's all stock, sprayed in old Dupli-Color factory color metallic Lime Green. Took me so long to post regarding this because I decided to replace the old rallye wheels with a set of black steelies, dogdish caps and Firestone white walls. I think it really cleaned it up. My skills were'nt quite as good then as they are now, but that's the name of the game.
  9. It's a drag car, it's only supposed to go in a straight line!...........lol. I love it........I think it looks awesome. Don't need a jack to change the oil. Light weathering is beautiful. Also looks cool in contrast to the black one.
  10. That is killer! Looks right on!
  11. Looks great! Seperate door handles really made a difference on this one.
  12. A woodie trike!
  13. Perfect............from the tires to the color...................looks great with the shoebox as well.
  14. Thanks guys! Glad I could bring back lots of memories with the ole' Comet. The Ford version would be the Falcon. I always thought the Comet looked way more proportioned, due to the different quarter panel stampings and not so rounded off front fenders. '62 through '65 Ford Fairlane was represented at Mercury as the Meteor. Comet and Fairlane were'nt the same deal until '66.
  15. Another one of my "redone" promos. These 4 door Comet promos are usually expensive, and very warped. This one was a recent score from the Bay, and the warping is minimal compared to most. I simply took it apart, cleaned it up, did some interior detailing, sprayed the roof black, buffed out the factory silver, and added some blackwash and BMF. Something different. Color is Cloud Silver metallic, the metallic is there, just doesn't show up well in pics.
  16. Here's mine. It's styrene, not a resin. 4 door hardtop, I did not build this one however. I found it on the 'Bay. Someone did a pretty decent job.
  17. Looks great! I never liked the seperate fenders on this kit, but you seem to have gotten them to work fine!
  18. Love the orange, and the foil looks great too!
  19. Looks good. The primed "in progress" body looks good with the clean mill. Nice!
  20. Looks great Nick. Love the "welds". Looks like the Fury cvt is coming apart nicely. Big project, but it looks solid. Always loved the big C bodies.
  21. Awesome! I need one of these for my HO scale vintage trailer park.
  22. That is perfect! Love the color and the patina! Also love the idea of the clean wheels and wide whites. Perfection, my friend!!!
  23. That's killer cool! The colors work great on this.
  24. Now that's "first class". Looks perfect!! Love it!
  25. Looks awesome Don! I remember this one from one of our meetings.
