  1. I've built one of these so I know what you went through. Which parts were warped? Good job on a tricky kit.
  2. Thanks folks. Jim - Blanking plates are evergreen and hide the chromed headlight lenses. The Carbon Fibre is Hasegawa film. It's basically printed sticky backed mylar and is IMO superior to decals as it can be stretched around corners and over compound curves. Thay also do it in mirror finish which works for really bright chrome, mirrors (duh!) and window tinting. I get it from Hobby Link Japan.
  3. Geetee66s Bee brought this to mind.
  4. Like it. Good job.
  5. Evil, wicked, mean and nasty. Good job.
  6. Very nice. I like it.
  7. Awesome Ira. Love this stuff.
  8. Sweet
  9. FAB Making 4 wheel steering work isn't too hard if you have the space. Steering on this works
  10. Mould seams are par for the course (I was going to say AMT but Monogram could be just as bad - did they realy not care back then?). However, I didn't notice them until it was pointed out. It's a lovely build. Good job.
  11. Awesome. Years ago, in a Dare to Be Different Issue, Hot Rod featured a 1:1 scale Hudson with more modern NASCAR running gear (yeah, sorry - no idea is ever original). I've always wanted to build one but the closest i've got so far has been a '58 Impala on a NASCAR Monte Chassis. Looks like I don't have to bother now. Great work. I'm loving it. Big Thumbs Up.
  12. And more 4 doors. Good job. Colour really suits it.
  13. Consider me pleasured. Not quite as nice as the red one but that's only because of my colour prejudice...
  14. I'm amused. Well done.
  15. Looks good.
  16. Looks good Chuck. Like it should be there
  17. Should have said that. Leave it too long and it's GP thinners to clean up (sprayed through followed by a bath & the cleaning brushes) I have only ever sprayed Tamiya & Mr Color Acrylics so can't comment on clean up with any other brands.
  18. I certainly don't recall ever seeing them on the TV show
  19. Yes, it is. I'd like a Woody, pick-up and sedan all based on that kit. Like they do with the 32's.
  20. Ditto. Except maybe "sick" rather than overdeveloped or active...
  21. Considering that this engine came in this car in 1:1 scale it's a tight fit lengthwise. Of course i'm assuming AMT & Monogram were both using the same ruler...
  22. Beautifull. The shade & the lustre puts me in mind of that chick in Goldfinger. Enamel? Looks like enamel for some reason. I'd leave it just like that and do no more to it because in my hands it'd never look as good as that again...
  23. Kid needs a clip round the ear.
