Thanks Randy. I did see a pic of one with either vents covered or different hood. Also a pic with clear headlight covers and one with covers painted blue. I guess different for some races ? Anyone know how many were built ? Hopefully the cd that Gary is sending will help me zero in on what version I will or can do with the parts I have. Wiring the engine could be tough as I drilled holes for the wires but the headers kind of overlap the holes for the plugs. I may just have to go with the stock distributor and no wires ??

Also before you paint see if tape will stick to the body. If it does, your good to go. If not, don't paint yet. Always was a good indicator for me.

I ordered a pre wired distributor for it so I can't finish the engine. I did one of the three photo etched vents in this kit yesterday. It took a long time. Not looking forward to doing the other two.

I don't know if anyone has one but I have seen a resin kit on the bay once in awhile. I do not now how good it is.

Kind of stalled on this project as I am waiting for a member who was kind enough to offer me photos arrive . They should help me get this as accurate as my meager talents will allow .

I have had a lot of his bodies and here is how I treat them. Not saying this is the only way. I soak them in Purple Power ( You can buy on line ) for 24 hours after I trim them of all the over mold. I then wash in Dawn and when dry do a light sanding before spraying Duplicolor filler primer. This works for me but I am sure not the only way to go about cleaning the body. Others will come along with other methods most likely.
