  1. Great thanks . I should have thought of them as that is where I got the number 8 decals for the GT 40 !
  2. Anyone know where I can order some ? The transfers that come in the Magnifier GT 40 kit are no good . They would not transfer to the tire so looking for decals to finish off this kit . Thank you
  3. Love to see you take this kit on.
  4. Wow ! Looks like you have your time planned out for quite awhile !
  5. You did a great job on a difficult kit. I built it twice and yours looks better than either. I did use one of these to modify into the concept convertible as you may recall.
  6. Putting the decals on . Still a bit more to do plus the tire lettering . It’s a shame that the fit is so poor or that I was not good enough to fix the fit issues .
  7. I believe this may be the same kit offered many years ago with a Testors name on it . Same scale metal kit I think . I bought one when it was a brand new kit many years ago . I bought it at a Toy City store for 299.99 dollars . The red paint on it was not too good and they exchanged the body for one in much better condition . Never built it and sold it for what I paid a couple years later .
  8. Well , I’m beating this model or , is it beating me ? Ya, it’s beating me . Try as I might I can not get the panels to fit any better . Oh , and forget about the front and rear hatch being attached and swinging open and close . Not at all happy but will push forward . Most left is the tire decals and body decals . The fun is not over yet ! If I wasn’t so stubborn I would have thrown in the towel .
  9. I will take some of that cooler weather ! It is coming but will be 103 as a high today was 78 at 5 am when I took my walk, that was nice.
  10. Stunning model, very well done !
  11. Looks pretty mean. You knocked that out pretty quickly.
  12. Thanks guys. It was suggested a bit ago using a wire to set in the hole and send the grommet down the wire. I would have tried it but by then I had given up the idea of the grommets and just painted the seats. I sent the grommets off to a member that could use them . These seats were a 45 dollar waste of money IMO. Maybe the kit was too ! ?
  13. You probably couldn't tell what it was because it looks like 30 other vehicles. ?
  14. The old Revell Ford station wagon ( no glass) built with my dad. Ya, I'm old !
  15. Very nice, you did a great job !
  16. Thanks for the kind words. I really wanted to do a good job with this kit because the GT 40 is one of my favorite cars. I'm pretty disappointed but will see it through to the end no matter the results.
  17. I purchased the pre painted Meng 1:12 GT 40 but I sold it to help finance the purchase of a Agoura 1/8 Shelby Cobra . Have not started that yet .
  18. A 1/18 scale Muscle Machine ????
  19. Both your engines look great .
  20. According to Ralph Nader it should have been my 67 Corvair Monza. It was not. I lived in a Chicago suburb at the time and that little car was great in the snow. Corvairs got a bad rap IMO.
  21. Does anyone know why they decided not to include a distributor in this kit ?
  22. That may very well be true but as I say it could just be my failure to do a better job.
