That will be cool. Interesting Dodge van in the background.

Chassis pretty much done. Body is painted , decals applied and clear coated . Drying now so maybe I can finish this one up in 3 days ?? That’s quick for me and I think less than 3 or 4 hours work not counting drying time .

Very cool and the paint is Fantastic ! Monogram has an Austin ?

Anyone Have A History On Otaki Kits?cobraman replied to oldcarfan's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews Here as an example is their 1/12 scale Mustang . Overall not too bad but as Rex has said the engine is not very detailed . This kit at one time had a motor and working lights . This kit did not have those features .

Lots of work but I think it paid off. Coming along nicely !

Well , after fighting that 1/12 scale GT 40 I needed something easy to work on . I figured I can’t get something much more easy than one of these . I will give it to my grandson . Tamiya white primer on the body . Have not decided on a color . Decals on the tires . I will not be using the kit decals . Not a bad little kit for what it is . Simple and uncomplicated . Just what I needed.

Good looking Mustang ! I have to agree with Rex about the spoiler. Don't hate it but the car would be much cleaner without it IMO.

Magnifier 1/12 Ford GT 40 Done !cobraman replied to cobraman's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers Thanks Rex. Yes, all the IMC kits were tough to build. These are great photos. Gary sent me a thumb drive that had a lot of good pics that really helped but these show a little more detail.

Nice Cobra Bruce. Was that a hint for me ? I plan/hope to start mine before years end. If not it will be after Christmas.

Never before was I so happy to finish up a kit . So, here it is such as it is . Very disappointed it this kit and myself . I think in the hands of a better builder this could be really nice . Got the fit as best I could but not very happy with the results . Not all my colors are correct . Painted Tamiya yellow TS-16 . Duplicolor 1K clear . I used Indycals for the number 8 car . Lots of chrome was either removed or coated with a dull coat spray . Couple things still need to be done but finished for the most part . I have to order some Goodyear tire decals as the transfers included in the kit did just not work . Lastly I need to finish the hood pins . I need to add the wire and clips . First I have to find where I put them for safe keeping ! Front and rear panels are not hinged . They fit much worse when hinged . Still it will look pretty cool in the cabinet .
