This is a 1/72 kit by the company Ace. This thing is tiny. Hard to believe but the bunker is made up of about a total of 50 pieces. Now finished you can not see any of the interior detail. These were used by Germany in early 1940 mainly in Italy. These were transported upside down and ground set or usually installed in a hole. The base here is from Hobby Lobby and it was stained and cleared. It was covered with Celuclay and then painted and dry brushed. Then decorated with stuff to add interest in the diorama. I highly doubt that there would have been a placement that would resemble what I created here but I thought it would look good.

Wow, that's an undertaking !

I normally shoot a coat of clear after I mask. It keeps the second color from bleeding under the tape. If you use good tape and make sure it is down you should have no problem without the clear.

You will figure out the straps. Car is looking good. Going to be very cool when done.

Yes Kevin, it will be dug in but not completely to the lip. I found a photo I liked and am trying to follow that pic. Diorama base has been started and this project will be in the diorama section soon.
