  1. Pretty sharp.
  2. I don't see collecting model kits any different than other things people collect. So you have kits that you will never build. Don't coin collectors have coins they will never spend ? Don't stamp collectors have stamps they will never lick and stick ? Same difference to me.
  3. You are one of a handful of guys here that are on a whole "nuther" level than the rest of us.
  4. Looks pretty nice to me.
  5. Doesn't Model Roundup have a section of old kits ?
  6. Spent a nice weekend up in Sedona. It rained almost all day yesterday but we still enjoyed it. Could not take the Jeep tour due to the weather. Well. that's not really true. They were still running but the wife was not interested in getting soaked. So, we saw the Trolly tour. Still open on the sides but the wife thought she could handle that ok so we did do that. Parking was a pain do to them having some kind of art festival of some sort. Took an honest 45 minutes to find a parking space. Kind of a small space but luckily I was not driving the F-150 as we rented a 2015 VW Bug for the trip. Didn't care too much for that car, have to return it tomorrow. Today on the way home the rain Gods were good to us and we were able to stop at the "Out of Africa Animal Park. That was ok, something different to do. Had lots of rain on the way home from there. All in all it was a much needed getaway and we had a good time.
  7. I built one a few months ago. Yours looks much better than mine. Very nice !
  8. I watched the first episode last night. That guy sure has some talent. That build should be pretty cool. Looking forward to seeing the second part.
  9. Cool. I like when someone wants a model done.
  10. I use a sharpened toothpick and then coat with Kristal Klear to give the look of a glass lens.
  11. I don't care for doing BMF at all. That being said I do use it wherever I feel it is called for. I think it gives the best look hands down. I use a Q-tip to get it down well and sometimes a rounded toothpick to get it into tight places. Some people like to do the clear over the BMF but I foil after the clear coat. Not sure if there is an advantage to either way. As said above you need to use a new blade each time you foil. You can avoid a bunch of trouble if you do.
  12. I have it recorded but have not watched it yet. That guy is good.
  13. Holy Moly ! Great craftsmanship.
  14. Thanks guys. I made some headway on this thing. If you have ever followed any of my builds or have seen my finished models you will note that I never paint anything in other than gloss paints. This one will be that exception. I used flat paints because I didn't think that this one would look better if it was done glossy. Seemed to be the type of build that cried out for dull paint. Probably will finish it up early next week. Going out of town this weekend so this little VW will have to wait. Thanks to all that have made suggestions on how to finish it or improve it.
  15. Sweet !
  16. Very nice.

  18. I like them all the I favor the 57 Ford.
  19. Very nice work.
  20. But then would it still be a shorty ?
