  1. But no hemi in 1959 so would not be stock if that matters
  2. Just in case you did not know.......Hoosier was not a 60s tire.......Goodyear and Firestone, depending on the year and the driver
  3. I can't readily find my kit, but doesn't it have Donovan 392 rocker covers? And a 392 front cover. Looking at the instructions on the Drastic Plastics site, it kinda looks like a mish-mash of parts. Personally, I am going to do the McEwen car as I have the Slixx decals but using a 426 from the Too Much dragster.
  4. Tim, no criticism intended.....was just trying to clarify for those who did not know and may want to build.
  5. The McEwen/Goeske car ran a 426 hemi, not the 392 that is in the kit.
  6. Just a reminder that a legal junior stocker required cheater slicks....7" width .....Modelhaus Tires or Speed City Resin can hook you up unless you have some old Jo-Han ones from the '64 Mopars
  7. Missing Link is not defunct....Ragtop Man here on the board is your connection to them
  8. Good parts kits though. I used the AMT '32 reissue chassis under an Opel GT gasser
  9. AMT 1959 Ford convertible.....wish I still had it
  10. Try Harts Parts resin
  11. You did a great job with that kit......i have all the parts to build one and I know what a bear it is to work with the parts pack stuff!!!
  12. I believe I read somewhere on this board that Atlantis does NOT have the tool for the Bantam body. I was glad I saw that because I was thinking of selling one off....changed my mind quickly!
  13. I currently have 9 kits in almost completed stage......can't seem to quite bring them over the finish line
  14. Wire axle builds roll and the others do not.....glue the wheels to the axle pins.
  15. Maybe Atlantis can reassemble the custom car display accessories parts pack if they also have the Revell '53 Chevy tooling where the hand tools are. Also the fuel injected Buick engine too.
  16. But don't you need to have the "oddball" molding machines that John Haenle used in order to run those tools?
  17. How are you guys downloading this stuff? While I can read the mags, I can't seem to download it on my windows 7 laptop.
  18. Just got my order of the roadster chassis speed equipment. Atlantis ships fast!!
  19. This is something of a recent design....some kind of pro street monstrosity S/S meant STOCK. Rollbars were not used at that time and fuel cells did not exist. 7" tires with some tread (cheater slicks like in the JoHan '64 Dodge). Way more things on this thing are not S/S legal/
  20. Probably lacquer based on the age of the kit.......91% alcohol is probably the only thing that will touch it and not hurt the plastic.
  21. He means that Hurst built the real hemi cudas in 1968.....there were no super stock hemi cudas built in 1969. I am doing the same thing though and building a '69 as the Sox & Martin car as it is close enough for the shelf.
