Thoughts and ideas that hold forever true..........
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Here's an old one......... 'If it wasn't in the well, it wouldn't come up in the bucket!' "The best way to clear dirty water is to leave it alone...." I believe Alan Watts said that! -
That would be the Cheshire Cat, my favorite of all the Wonderland characters.........

1k clear coat question
JollySipper replied to crowcreate's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
This build has the 1K clear from DupliColor on it....... It's the only clear that would work on the wheel paint that the body is painted in. I've used it a few times, and as long as you put it on nice and slick (which with this clear means putting it on heavy...), it usually doesn't need a wet sand and polish. It holds it's shine as it dries.... -
in need of a lechler paint code

Les, is it something you can find here? You just put in the vehicle info for the color you want......... https://www.paintscratch.com/ -
Hey guys! I really do hope this is okay........ I have these two puzzles that I'm never gonna put together. I got them both as gifts at two different occasions. I know there are some puzzle 'builders' here, hopefully someone will want these two! The first one is a 750 piece garage scene, the second one is a 1000 piece music store front......... The garage scene has the plastic removed, but I just counted the pieces, and they're all there. The storefront is still "factory sealed"......... I would really love to trade these away! If they strike your fancy, just send me a PM with whatever offer you have............ I'm not certain what they are 'worth', so I'll leave that up to you to decide! Anyway, I hope this topic is cool! I knew better than to try the trading post, but the off-topic lounge should be okay.....

What Did You See In Your Yard Today?

I've had some pet rodents, although I haven't had any gerbils, that's what that looks like to me! If it's friendly, it definitely is one........ They're very social critters. Are there many kids in your area? They may be missing their pet.......... -
Well, shoot............ I was hoping to see some 'concept cars and special cars'.........

Rebuild him we can, for we have the technology......... and all these extra Lego pieces.

Off on a tangent we could go about strict house rules, like tucked-in shirts and a belt, even around the house........

Two wrongs don't make a right, Steve man......... but three lefts can! -

Here a while back I received one of those paint gift sets with the carousel for the small bottles of paint. The Testors set-up......... The date on the box says it's from the mid- 90s. It had a small tube of glue also, but I seem to have misplaced it. I did hang the plastic work mat on the wall so it wouldn't get ruined.....

I unlocked one of the professional players on my pool game for the Playstation.... Not an easy task! You have to earn the chance to play against them. Then you have to win to unlock them...... Here's it's wiki that explains how the game progresses. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q-Ball:_Billiards_Master This game is very entertaining, and the physics are very close to reality!

That's pretty cool! As a kid watching the show, I always liked this car better than the General for some reason..... I might have to get myself some of that Marigold paint.

Women in cartoons was the topic of Mike Meyers' poem in the coffee house scene of the movie 'So I Married An Axe Murderer', which is a pretty funny movie......

That's exactly how it went here! This newest management only cares about your rent being paid. They make a bunch of arbitrary rules that they don't even enforce, and when you try to complain to them, they say they only "manage" these properties, they don't "own" them, so I guess they aren't responsible for what goes on here.....

I've been in this one apartment for going on 17 years, I've seen a lot of folks come and go......... Some now I wish would just gooooooooo....

Well, it looks like I may have to be moving soon.......... Not sure I should call it an 'irk', because even though I'm old enough that I dislike change, THIS change will be pretty much welcomed. It's getting to where I don't even want to go outside........ Neighbor kids screaming, nosy adults causing a bunch of ghetto drama, dogs everywhere....... Just need quieter surroundings.

To get a laugh out of someone, ask them 'What were you eating under there?' and when they say 'Under where?', then you can ask them why they were eating underwear..........

Saw the first of probably many snakes that I'll see this year today.......... A King Snake, about four feet long. I just left it alone, as they eat the lesser snakes and rats that live in the swamp/creek behind me here......... First snake for Emmett, he was curious, but not afraid! -
That's a sharp truck! and it being a Toyota should last forever........... There was a story going around online of a guy who put a million miles on one not too long ago.....
