The downside of the hobby - what annoys you?
JollySipper replied to Mike C's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
What is kind of annoying to me right now is my vision isn't what it used to be........ We get given those small CF light bulbs here in the apts. Between reading on the computer and working under poor lighting, my eyes are pretty strained. Gonna get a lamp to work under here soon, though, which should help! -
'Too Many Puppies' is a song by Primus, who just recently got a brand-spankin' new drummer........... (That's a brand new number 1)

Ever think that the glue fumes are getting to some of us? LoL!

Everyone on here being such good people................ Nathan! My first car was a '74 Dodge Dart. It was a more-door with the slant6 engine. Starting off with a car that may not be exactly what you want may be a smart move, as a kids first car is pretty much to be disposable. You can drive the Pontiac to work or whatever, to save up for the classic that you want! I drove the Dart for about 6 months....... It had bad oil leaks and I was lazy about checking the oil, which led to a spun bearing. I graduated to an Aerocoupe Thunderbird, which I enjoyed MUCH more than the ol' Dodge....

Track two on Blur's first album was appropriately named 'Song 2'..........

John, don't think you're getting through the day without someone wishing you some Happy Birthday-ness............ -
How about an obscure TV character? You guys ever hear of Ernest P. Worrell? He was a character invented by Jim Varney. There were several movies that were pretty much made for TV that the character starred in....... It was good, clean humor, and as a teen I had a similar sense of humor..... Silly but with a straight face! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_P._Worrell

Not complaining, but someone needs to end a sentence with something way out of left field, like zizzibalooba......

What is your NUMBER 1 favorite movie car
JollySipper replied to Thedragsterdude's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Yep, the hero car from the movie The Wraith! It had a twin-turbo four cylinder that was mounted midship (sidewinder-style, if I remember right) that would alllllllllmost reach 200mph.....- 174 replies

Instructions for this Monogram Woody kit............
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Wanted!
I believe that the release I have here is an older issue....... It's molded in red mostly, and has a 4-banger engine along with the V8..... A paper copy of the instructions would be cool, as my computer is in another room from where I build. -
Instructions for this Monogram Woody kit............
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Wanted!
Thanks, John! I do believe that your link is the same basic kit........ -
Hello, Hello! Guys, I have kind of a rebuilder lot here of Monogram woody/pickup parts...... I believe I have all the parts to build a hot rod companion to the stock one that I'm working on. Would anyone have the instructions for this kit, so I can both check the parts and see how to assemble the thing? It's the old 1/24 kit............ If so, just send me a PM or something! Thanks for reading............

Yep, somebody has got their painting technique down to a science!

Bill, as much as I would liked to have seen one of those, I believe that this was what flew over the other day....... Your mentioning Beechcraft was right-on, as that's how I found this pic!

Living about a mile from the local small-plane airfield pleases me quite often...... On nice days (like we've had for the past few) I get to see at least a couple/three planes fly over. The latest 'cool' plane to make it's way over was a mid-sized personal plane, about the size of a Lear jet, but it had two prop engines, and long thin wings with vertical stabilizers on each end...... Not sure what it was, it looked different from the usual Cessna-type planes we usually see.

Hey, guys! Some more progress......... I decided to just paint the panels solid. I don't think I'm gonna be able to get the doors to operate, the pins that the hinges swing on are just too delicate. One door is in place in the pic...... The wrought iron straps on the tailgate have been painted too..... I can pretty much begin final assembly soon! Thanks for letting me share my progress, guys, I hope you enjoy..........

Had a bunch of hail come through right before a bit of a shower......... Pea sized, and a lot of it! We haven't had hail here since the last time! (LoL)
