LOTS of guys out there putting larger wheels on old cars......... If you do use the Viper drive train, it would be some sort of Pro Touring beast! I think It'll be cool.....

It's just the finish they have right out of the can, like what you have painted looks coated with 'rubber'... it's not like the look of a cleared lacquer. Your Goat looks really good, btw, I guess because you polished it.......

Thanks for the very helpful replies.... Seeing what can be done with these gives me some assurance that I'll be able to work with them.

It might be my only option....... I can get a nice slick finish with them, I just don't like the rubbery look to them. unless There's a way to get cheap lacquers in a spray?

I'm needing to find a cheaper alternative to the DupliColor that I've grown to love because the stuffs $11 a can now.... I'm thinking of giving Krylon a try. Does anyone have pics of models with Krylon as the final paint? I'm a slick and shiny person, so those kinds of paint jobs would be the most helpful.... Just out of the can, the enamels seem to look kinda 'rubbery' to me. Would wet sanding then clearing help with the look of it? What kind of variety do they have as far as colors go? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks....

Sharp car! You could get a set of Mustang wheels from a salvage yard and they would bolt right on..... probably dress it up quite nice...

If you made that piece from wire, maybe you could get the wires tension to hold it in place.........

I just discovered this art technique, I've been looking for something for my niece's birthday and stumbled upon it.... All it takes is a few basic hand tools and strips of paper. Here's some examples I found.... Anybody here do this? I think I may take it up myself........

Thank you, fellas! Here's a final full-on mock up with glass and interior...... it still needs one more coat of paint, then clear and polish. Things look kinda monochromatic, but maybe the black trim will break it up some...... I plan to get some foil to do the trim with...... Thanks for looking...

Rick, you can paint large areas with them, if you flow them kinda wet.... they range in tip sizes, so pinstripes would be pretty easy to make... I don't see why you couldn't make custom decals with them.

They are in the 'arts and crafts'....... They are very useful, especially for things like battery posts, radiator caps and the like...

You just have to know what you're doing...... That's a joke.... I've never had that happen, but I've never used a white one. White paint seems to be "clumpier" than others, even in the Folk Art craft paints...

JC, is there a list here on the board that lists all the 911 variants and why they're called what they are? Like, what makes a 993 different from a 911? May be a dumb question, but I love a nice Porsche and would like to know more about them....... Thanks!

They come in a variety of shapes and sizes... the medium tip is about the same as a 3mm chrome marker. I'm glad you guys find this useful.......
