  1. I looked at the site and Instagram..... man, he has some NICE stuff! There is available a set of 1/16 Astro supremes with white-wall tires that's just beautiful.......
  2. I've wanted one of these since they first made their debut, this one is supercharged and immaculate........ Here's it's link! https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/d/van-nuys-supercharged-1996-nsx/7161142696.html
  3. Those are good suggestions, Man. I'm not really familiar with the accessories in the larger kits, this will be my first big scale auto. I did notice that one of the Minicraft hot rod kits come with chrome steel wheels and whitewalls, I might try looking for a set of them........
  4. Hello, Guys.... I have a build in mind using the soon to be released '57 T-Bird big scale kit. I would love to have some specific parts for this project, but it seems the only way to get them would be have them printed. I am wanting chrome reverse wheels, appletons, and lake pipes for a mild custom in 1/16.... Would it be possible to find files of these things in a smaller scale and have them sized up? Who would I contact about making files if none exist? Just kinda thinking aloud and brainstorming right now, but it would be very cool to be able to get these parts. I maybe could scratch up some lake pipes, and possibly the spot lights, but the wheels would need to be printed, I guess....... Thanks for any help!
  5. I am really diggin' this mild custom '41 Chevy...... Here's the link.... https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/d/san-ysidro-1941-custom-chevy-coupe/7158333555.html
  6. I've mentioned these guys elsewhere, it's the Claypool Lennen Delirium....... This one is pretty obscure, but maybe not to those who frequent this thread.
  7. Thanks, fellas! Anyone who has this kit or is looking to get one, don't worry about bleed-thru from the red plastic. I used all hot DupliColor products and didn't have any issues.......
  8. Thanks a bunch, fellas! I had been on a Viper kick since I have one on the Gran Turismo video game......... Had to build one, of course!
  9. Thanks, Carl Buddy!
  10. Why don't they make all gasoline to where it produces less emissions? There's a filling station here where they sell Amoco gas, and the high-test stuff is clear. There's a little window in the nozzle that you can see it going thru....... It has to burn cleaner than the lower octane stuff?
  11. Posts like that keep a topic going..... There was a cartoon series called "Cowboy Bebop", and that's exactly the premise. They were a group of bounty hunters in space. It was an adult cartoon, and probably the most successful Japanese franchise, although it was short lived....... they only did 26 episodes.
  12. Mr. Daniels grew up right in the general area where I live.... he used to sit in front of a local grocery store about 6 or 8 miles from here when he was a young man and play the fiddle....
  13. and it's facing the wrong way! Didn't a builder here build the Metropolitan?
  14. I LIKE these little cars! Never driven a Miata, but I know Mazda makes pretty tough stuff. I got 250K miles out of a little Mazda hatch back. Weren't these cars kinda based on a Lotus Elan?
  15. If you look at what state it's from, that should explain everything.........
  16. Here's a cool one! Fox chassis Ford with a Coyote 5.0 and 6 speed transmission..... It looks pretty well sorted, too. Here's the ad's link.... https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/d/pasadena-90-mustang-coyote-lx/7152092327.html
  17. Thanks, Steve! I like the last one the best, on page two. I'm making a list of ideas I want to try, laminated knobs being one of them.... maybe a pair of frenched antennas.
  18. These are good ideas, guys.... I've been looking at Custom Car Chronicle too, but most of what they feature is fat-fendered cars and shoeboxes. Still, I have gathered some ideas from there. One thought I have came from a member here, he painted the pan looking part of the rear bumper body color, making it look like a custom bumper.
  19. When the AMT '57 Thunderbird 1/16 kit gets re-released, I'll be getting one... Plans call for a mild Kustom theme. I'm looking around online for ideas and inspiration, but it seems that not many '57s were done up as a custom. I'm asking here if anyone has pics, or better yet, ideas that you've incorporated into a build. Doesn't have to be the 1/16 kit! All ideas are welcome, even from the other years of the Baby Birds...... Also looking for stuff like interior and engine bay ideas. Also, would anyone know of aftermarket parts for a 1/16 kustom? I may try to scratch build some stuff, but I would like lakes pipes and appletons if not much else... but stuff like a Paxton supercharger would be cool. Thanks for any help with this!
  20. Actually, I have my finished models packed away as I don't have anywhere to display them.... I think in terms of "quality over quantity" tho.... I'm more proud of a build that I spent a month or more trying to do a good job on than something that was rushed through....
  21. Here's a Porsche Outlaw for you fans of those..... it has the Renegade V8 conversion... Here's the ad's link...... https://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/cto/d/miami-porsche-911-custom-renegade/7143547066.html
