  1. I believe I was able to hide it, guys....... I just put a couple coats of Perfect Match clear on the roof right over the primer. I could still see it thru the clear, but another coat of primer seems to have hidden it....... We'll see when body paint goes on.
  2. How did that go? I know painting is your least favorite thing to do...... Any pics?
  3. Good ol' Craigslist.... The only place you can find a Gotti Blue Hawaiian Jocko Razors Edge Gator Mouth Elvis Impersonator Pitt Bull ready to go at 4 weeks old. Like we don't have enough Pitts around here.....
  4. How about a riddle.... As I was traveling to St. Ives, I met a man with seven wives Seven wives held seven sacks, seven sacks held seven cats Seven cats held seven kittens.... Cats, sacks, kittens, and wives, how many were going to St. Ives?
  5. Thanks, Pete, man.... There's only a ghost of where the tire was against the plastic..... You think if I put a coat of super glue over the blemish and sand it back smooth, that it would seal in the plasticizer and keep it from leaching out?
  6. Hey, Guys.... I recently started an '86 Monte Carlo kit. It had/has a bit of tire burn on the roof. I sanded the spot where it is nice and flat, but it's showing through the primer. Kinda looks a little "shiny" thru the primer where the tire contacted the roof....... I'm wondering if it will continue to show thru the paint as well. I primed it with DupliColor sandable..... There's not any kind of texture or anything, just a shiny spot.......... Thanks for any help, and tips on how to block it where it won't show in the final paint... I'll be painting it black, if that matters.
  7. Absolutely! Here's another..... Well, the Universe is shaped exactly like the Earth If you go straight along, you'll end up where you were.....
  8. Gary Larson is a genius...... Sounds like something my Auto Mechanics teacher would say. Kids can't be talked to in this manner anymore, they're too delicate........
  9. Sooner or later, when your big chance has come You'll look for the catches, and there will be none Remember before, you grabbed the money and run but Someone is watching you........
  10. We don't wonder where we're going, or remember where we've been We've got to keep this traffic flowing and accept a little sin....
  11. Why doesn't anyone believe in loneliness? Stand up and everyone can see your Holiness.......
  12. Looks like a color that would be at home on a traditional custom OR a factory stock build....... This kinda crosses into both, should look nice!
  13. A pre-facelift T- Bird? That's something I wish there was a kit of, I had a real one in my teens.......... there was a promo made, but I'm not sure who made them.
  14. You're right, Rob.... They're detailed without being overly so, not many too-small parts........ How about muscle car kits? Wasn't the A12 Super Bee an '80s tool?
  15. I'm currently working on two kits from Monogram that were tooled in the '80s. The '87 Thunderbird and the '86 Monte Carlo SS..... Both of these kits are exceptionally nice kits! and both are subjects that interest me.......... It has me wondering what all kits were contemporary to these. Would there be a list of the kits that Monogram tooled up around this time? I'd like to get more of these in the future........ If you guys have pics of kits that were tooled in the '80s, please share!
  16. I must be getting bored with my music...... I've been listening to DEVO the past little while. Some of it sounds a bit like The Cars, especially the song "Girl U Want". Anyone else get like that? Listen to something you normally wouldn't just to hear something different?
  17. Oldcarfan27 is a good trader.....
  18. How did you join? Did you just "join a conversation", or did you go thru all the registration with the Captcha and everything?
  19. Bubba with his glass-packs.......... I call them "Lacka Mufflers".... They wrack the entire complex when they start the piece of junk truck that they're on.
  20. The way I may would try to do it would be to paint the whole body with the bottom color, then use BMF to mask for the darker color...... You could just work like you were foiling the wheel arches to get the bottom color to follow them. Use a straight edge to get a nice clean straight piece of foil for the beltline separation....... I'm going to try fingernail masking tape for a pinstripe on a current project, as soon as I can find some in the color I need.......
  21. I think that a patina'd look would suit this one! Something like the 'Fast and Loud" pickup.... You'd probably get many different suggestions on color, as we have very diverse tastes on the board.....
  22. I believe they removed the edit feature because of spam/scam posts being made.... The offenders would make a post in a topic, then go back weeks later and insert some kind of link into it.
  23. Thanks, JC.... those guys are pretty good. Just hearing this guy! Peter Green..... This is off his first solo album, the whole album is proggy blues instrumentals....
  24. Carl, did you see that Scott had made a post in the wanted section? I guess he's doing okay........
