Say, if someone wanted to build this car and it be correct, what kit(s) would you need? I used to have the MPC kit, I remember it being a bear, tho....... If you were to use just the body from the kit, what chassis would you need? Drivetrain? If I had a real 1:1 I would probably use something like a 914-6 engine and transaxle.......

I'm just now hearing Yes' "Roundabout" as an acoustic version....... I like it. -
I had a quick, easy and well-communicated trade with JC Reckner (afx)........... He's a real cool guy both on and off the forum....
-
Could have very well been...... to someone like me, they look very similar from the ground.

Retiring where you want, that's gotta be what it's all about......... There were some F-14 fighter jets doing acrobatics overhead today, fun to see but very LOUD.... Always enjoy watching any kind of aircraft.

Building for Ease of Disassembly....
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This is all really good input, guys.... The reason I asked is I'm thinking about starting to do this, build a little less 'permanent' for ease of rebuilding later. My better efforts will most likely all stay together tho..... -
I've seen a large diecast on eBay.... the ad said it was about 10.5" long. I was just a kid when this was on TV, this show probably made a car guy out of me!

While looking at glue bombs and such on the forums, and the work put into them, made me wonder about something. How many of you guys build your models with ease of disassembly in mind? Parts that stay together, like engine halves, should be glued well. What about interior to body and chassis? Just something I've been wondering lately......

First Band From Outer Space..... mostly really heady instrumental stuff. Good to put on and just listen to while you build... -
As a lover of all things Coyote X, this jumped out at me while searching around on the Bay of E... It's an Iron On transfer of the car..... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Original-1983-Hardcastle-and-McCormick-Coyote-T-Shirt-Transfer/392640372793?hash=item5b6b30a039:g:xDUAAOSwxlBeH8Y- It's cheap, but I can't swing it right now.... Maybe I'll catch another one when I can... I watched this show a bunch as a kid, wish their was a decent kit of it! Awesome car!

Yep, I'll be 40 this year.... (don't remind me ) I also like Blondie, Deborah Harry's voice is very much a pleasure to hear.... That's the main reason I like The Cardigans music, Nina Persson's voice.... Plus Blondie was almost Punk music, even played at the CBGB club....

That's a pretty cool list! I guess to make mine ten, I'd add the top 5 albums that Primus put out. Caught a Lot of flack for listening to them, but I thought it fit who I was.....
-
What are you guys' top five albums of your youth? The ones that influenced you the most? Mine are as follows: Fashion Nugget by Cake... You'd Prefer an Astronaut by Hum... American Thighs by Veruca Salt... II (two) by Meat Puppets Nevermind by Nirvana... These albums shaped my taste in music as well as me as a person!

Painting chassis question
JollySipper replied to STYRENE-SURFER's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Could you clear over the Alclad aluminum with their suggested clear? Then you could maybe mask over it without pulling it up...... I would probably mask with foil. -
Wow..... I was writing in script and reading analog clocks by the 2nd grade. I'm 39 now to put perspective on it....

LOTS of guys out there putting larger wheels on old cars......... If you do use the Viper drive train, it would be some sort of Pro Touring beast! I think It'll be cool.....

Need Tips on Working With Enamels
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
It's just the finish they have right out of the can, like what you have painted looks coated with 'rubber'... it's not like the look of a cleared lacquer. Your Goat looks really good, btw, I guess because you polished it....... -

Need Tips on Working With Enamels
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
It might be my only option....... I can get a nice slick finish with them, I just don't like the rubbery look to them. unless There's a way to get cheap lacquers in a spray? -
Need Tips on Working With Enamels
JollySipper posted a topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I'm needing to find a cheaper alternative to the DupliColor that I've grown to love because the stuffs $11 a can now.... I'm thinking of giving Krylon a try. Does anyone have pics of models with Krylon as the final paint? I'm a slick and shiny person, so those kinds of paint jobs would be the most helpful.... Just out of the can, the enamels seem to look kinda 'rubbery' to me. Would wet sanding then clearing help with the look of it? What kind of variety do they have as far as colors go? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks....
