  1. The funniest Seinfeld episode ever was the one where Frank tells Kramer the War story about him giving the platoon bad meat.....
  2. I'm right there with you on that one.......... Watched that car a lot on television as a kid, love anything to do with it!
  3. I'm really diggin' this project! As for the rear end, the 9 in. would seem more traditional, where the 8.8 would lend to the more modern Pro Tour vibe this seems to have...... This is really cool.
  4. Hey, Fellas.... I thought it would be a neat idea to start a thread devoted to tips for mounting parts for painting. Everyone has their own methods, so it would be cool for you guys to post some ideas for this. Here's a trick I use a bunch...... I glue larger small parts to a clothes pin with Testors orange tube glue. Then I can clip the pin onto something, usually a flap from a shipping box. Once the part is painted, the glue breaks free pretty easily because it can't weld plastic to wood..... So feel free to add to this any tips you have that maybe noone else thought of......
  5. Cool, guys.... Thank You. I was hoping it would have something like StyleLine parts, or at least Lake Pipes..... I guess I'll just build it stock.
  6. Hey, Fellas.... I'm thinking of getting an AMT 1/16 '57 Thunderbird. It's my understanding that there are some custom parts in this kit...... What exactly would those parts be? and Would the custom parts be in the issue that was released in 1989? I've found one on the Bay of E for a good price, and just want to be sure I want it before buying...... Thanks! and any examples you have of the kit, please feel free to post them.....
  7. Just found this this morning....... Really good song! Time & Illusion by Raw Material....
  8. Cool, thanks guys! I don't have an account there, but I may set one up........
  9. Hey, Guys.... I'm in need of some DupliColor paints and was thinking of ordering it from Summit Racing. It's pretty cheap there compared to places like Amazon. I was wondering what their shipping charges were like..... I'll be ordering two colors and a can or two of clear. Their site says you can calculate shipping, but I believe you have to make up an order to do so......... Just wondering if it's worth ordering from them........ Thanks!
  10. I use an ad blocker, but I STILL would pay to use the forum......... anything to help the best site ever.
  11. yet They can't "spare a square"...........
  12. Cool, you got it....... not one of their more popular albums, but it's a good one.
  13. Try going back and editing the op..... be sure to put the file names for the pics in their own paragraph. Like a space between the body and the pic....... I would like to see what you've built.......
  14. You guys will never guess this one....... You awaken with a start, with just the beating of your heart, Just one man beneath the sky, just to live is just too wise.......
  15. Sooooo, since I can use clear lacquer over the old ones to hold them together (I'll be using DupliColor, I hope it works....), what would I use to nestle down the stripes on the GTS? While Applying, not after they have dried onto the body...... I want them to slide around while wet on the body for ease of placement....... Thanks, guys....
  16. Speaking of clear coat, I think I've read that you can just spray a coat of clear lacquer over the old decals and they will hold together....... anyone have experience with that? I know you would have to trim the decals to size after.....
  17. The old decals are just dried out... the sheet's not even tacky anymore. Also, I've tried building the Viper before and had problems with the decals laying down..... So it looks like I'll just have to buy two products, the Liquid Film, and some setting solution. Thanks guys........
  18. Cool. I would like to find a solution that can be used as both a restorer and setting solution........ Thanks
  19. ..... also work as a setting solution? If not, is there a product that will restore old decals, and settle them in place? I have some old decals for a current project and am thinking about a Viper GTS as the next one.... I would like a solution that does both. Thanks for any help!
  20. You know, I'm starting to think that it's not about having toilet paper, but having YOUR BRAND of toilet paper...... nothing like the comfort of familiarity!
  21. Mr. Holt...... is your user name "OldTrucker" because you used to drive a truck, or because you are a DeadHead?
  22. Supertramp is quickly becoming one of my favorites...... The more I listen to them, the more I like. Their songs have purpose, and are more than just guitar power chords. I'm maybe one of the biggest hippys you'll meet, but I never cared for the Dead's music..... Too folk'ish for me..... I DO however like what they stood for, and the fact that they let free music out to the fans.......
  23. I like the whole painting process the best...... foiling would be a close second. Least favorite is definitely all the small bits that need to be glued to the paint.... always a chance to ruin something.
  24. One recurring dream I have, I've had again recently...... I'm in a record store looking at albums to buy. I'll pick up an album and try to read the label, but can't make it out. I end up leaving the store feeling kinda disappointed that I couldn't find anything I wanted...... another, and this one seems the oddest, is I have some sort of rodent as a pet..... but it's like a generic animal. It's not a hamster or squirrel or anything, but I know it's a small critter of some sort. Kinda weird, huh?
  25. ..... and There aren't any ads on Instagram like there is on Facebook. I had a FB account for about 3 days, I've been on instagram for about a year. My user name is "jollysipper" same as here!
